From the minute my fiance (now husband!) started looking at wedding venues, we knew we wanted something with a very NYC feel. Tribeca Rooftop was the second venue we looked at and we were sold. We cancelled all our other appointments and signed our contract for a June 2023 wedding. From the beginning of the wedding planning process, Donna was amazing to work with. I asked A LOT of questions and sent A LOT of emails and she always responded in a timely fashion and never made me feel as though I was being annoying (which I'm sure I was being haha). When it was about a month before our wedding, we were handed over to Andrew, who was equally incredible and helpful. On the day of our wedding, we worked with George as our attendant. George was the life of the party, always there to provide us with drinks when we were running low, and will always make sure your lipstick is on and people are where they need to be. George was THE BEST attendant we could have asked for, but I digress... The food: incredible- our cocktail hour was stunning and delicious. SO much food and everyone was raving about how delicious it alll was. The drinks: always flowing and made perfectly! Our bartenders were great and never had people waiting at the bar for their next round. The venue: I mean... STUNNING. Obviously. The staff: amazing! So kind, so helpful, helped really put us at ease throughout the whole process and helped keep our nerves calm on the day of our wedding. Overall: 20/10. Book your wedding here (and please invite us, we really want to be guests at a Tribeca Rooftop wedding)

We got married 1/5/25 but had been working with Miriam for probably a year and a half before our big day. She was always so personable with us a treated us like family. Words cannot describe the love and care we felt from Jake, our maître D and Samantha, our bridal attendant, on our wedding day. We were cared for tediously and effortlessly. We felt like at ease, happy and totally relaxed. I needed Samantha and didn’t even know it, I am forever indebted to her - she could not have been more attentive and wonderful. Comforting me, assuring me, getting me where I need to be and when. So friendly, kind and amazing. Thank god for Jake. He is so special and we’re so lucky we got him as our maître D. He deems himself as a “yes man” and he is not lying. Anything you could have ever wanted from him, he’d deliver. We wanted for nothing, had wonderful direction from him all night and he took care of EVERYTHING!  The night was flawless, amazing, perfect and all we could have ever hoped for. The staff at Bourne is unmatched, we made the right choice with this venue. Guests will be in awe of the venue and talk about the food for years to come. I wish I could do it all again. Thank you Bourne mansion & staff for the best night of our lives! I don’t have all my pics back yet!

Would like to give Bristol Event Center another applause, from the architecture, the food, down to the staffs, and very special shout-out to Sarah J., for helping us create our dream wedding! I love the fact that Sarah made it so easy to approach her with anything we need. It’s not easy planning a wedding all the way from California, but she helped made it happen. I remember visiting BEC when it was still being built, having to tour with hard hats and everything was all framework and foundation. Sarah went over with us how BEC became established and also showed my wife and I how it’s going to look and we just decided to take that leap of faith and go with them due to how we were able to connect! When we came to check it out when we were visiting town, we were speechless on how beautiful everything was. My cousins and my wedding coordinator did the taste testing for us and they said BEC gave them an experience they never experienced before. If you’re booking a venue to please your crowd, your crowd will definitely have a positive experience they will remember for a very long time. I’ve been to numerous weddings myself and this venue definitely captured my eyes and my stomach (food is amazing). THANK YOU SARAH, RICH, JULIA, STEVE, JEFFREY, AND THE WHOLE TEAM, YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!! - Kristine & Do

Where do I begin? I had my wedding during COVID, which wasn't easy on anyone. But, still deciding to get married, having it at Premier718, was the best decision we made. Everything went off without a hitch. Jeanette took all the pressure off my back. I gave her my ideas and she bought each one to life. I didn't see anything right until I walked in after the ceremony and when I tell you I was completely in love! The venue is modern, clean, and spacious. Words can't express how grateful and appreciative of the service I received. She took care of the decor, the cake, the food and the alcohol, and I was not disappointed. P.S Can I also mention she did all of this for me in a matter of like 10 days. Which I don't think anyone should do. haha. What I'm trying to say is that I definitely recommend Premier718!!

Venue considerations

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available

Our wedding turned out to be incredibly beautiful, thanks to a unique venue and execution by its staff. However, that perfect day was almost derailed by the unacceptable pressure campaign to change ceremony locations due to concerns over furniture getting wet. We wanted this review to capture our nearly 20 months of planning with the TWA Hotel. PLANNING PROS: -Variety of spaces -Responsiveness -Flexibility for storing supplies CONS: -No FAQ document -Frustrating room block system -Forgotten menu tasting notification -Lack of communication and contradictory info from the Paris Cafe for rehearsal dinner THE WEDDING PROS: -Organized and accommodating staff -The food, especially the pastrami station and red velvet cake for dessert CONS: -Wrong display with typo on Solaris board in the Sunken Lounge -Our tiered wedding cake wasn’t cut and served even tho there clearly wasn’t enough sheet cake to pass around -The weather “policy”: We were told that we could make a final decision on an outdoor ceremony up until the morning of our wedding, and our point of contact reassured us of this during our final walkthru 2 weeks out. Our contract also secured the Sunken Lounge as the backup option if we chose to move indoors. However, in the final days and hours before our wedding, we were pressured to move our ceremony indoors, despite nearly all weather reports showing clear skies for our 5-6pm ceremony and rain only after 9pm. Our point of contact started questioning our outdoor plans 4-5 days before the wedding, and even met with us multiple times - first in the lobby while we were dropping off supplies 2 days before our wedding, again when we were checking in the next day, and yet again when we were at the pool before our rehearsal dinner, where we had to brush off our guests in order to have a serious meeting. Each time, they told us we needed to make a "final call" now, not the morning-of as we had been told before. After listing their reasons to move the ceremony indoors (which included threatening to release the Sunken Lounge from our backup option, despite what our contract said), the point of contact mentioned that the head manager was concerned about the rain damaging the leather chairs, and then proposed a “solution” of having the ceremony outside, but not setting up any chairs so that our guests would stand for the entire ceremony. It was clear to us that the real reason why we were being pressured was that the manager didn’t want their leather chairs to get wet! We asserted that, unless we were explicitly told we couldn't have our ceremony outside, we would stick with the outdoor option. The morning of our wedding, our day-of coordinator informed us that the venue was insisting they now had a “50% chance of rain policy”, giving them the “right” to change ceremony locations. We immediately forwarded reports from 10 weather sites that all had a chance of rain between 5-7pm at 0-30%. We finally saw chairs being set up outside in the mid-afternoon, and when our ceremony got underway, the clouds parted ways and the sun started shining. CONCLUSION: The TWA Hotel is such a special place to celebrate your wedding! Before you sign the contract, however, understand that you’ll have to stay on top of the planning process, and in cases like ours, fight for what you envision. Make sure the contract spells out any and all promises — there were items that we made sure they honored as it was clear the hotel’s policies had changed since the signing.

I would highly suggest having them handle your cake as well because it’s all made in house and I sent them my inspiration and they knocked it out of the park! Because they handle so much I was able to focus on smaller details and design for the day that made it feel extra special. I will tell anyone who asks if they are looking to get married to check out the Ace Hotel Brooklyn! Ashllyn, Auri, Cindy & Paul absolutely smashed it - couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!

We absolutely loved our wedding venue! Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the space, and everything about the venue itself was perfect for our big day. The staff was generally great, and the venue itself exceeded our expectations. However, there were a couple of things that caught us off guard. First, when we went to drop off our decorations the day before the wedding, we were surprised to find large, dramatic Christmas decorations still in the foyer—something we were never informed would be there. Thankfully, the team worked with us to remove them, and by the morning of the wedding, everything was taken care of, which we really appreciated. Second, we were disappointed to find that the venue ran out of rum for our signature drink. We had clearly communicated that rum was a major ingredient, yet they only had two bottles for the entire night, which was nowhere near enough. It seemed like they completely forgot that rum was a key part of our signature cocktail, and it was frustrating to see our guests unable to enjoy it as planned. Lastly, after the wedding, we heard some concerning stories about the way the venue manager and team interacted with our vendors, particularly our wedding planner. Apparently, voices were raised, and things got very heated, with fingers being pointed at faces. It was heartbreaking to hear this, especially because it was completely at odds with the otherwise wonderful experience we had. It felt very unprofessional and left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall, the venue itself was stunning, and the event went off beautifully, but these issues were frustrating and disappointing, especially when considering how much we loved everything else. After trips to other different venues, I knew East Wind was for us. The venue was rustic and beautiful. Jen McLaughlin, our sales rep, was awesome and consistent throughout the whole process. Very sweet, pleasant, communicative, prompt and was reliable regarding concerns I have. Fast forward to our wedding day, 12/8, it was perfect and everything I could ask for. Reid, the maitre d, took over and made everything seamless. Placed all my DIY decorations as they should be and more, turned my vision to reality. Very mellow guy. Patient, sweet, chill and very attentive to our needs. Our wedding party loved him! And Barbara, our bridal attendant, what a doll! Very nurturing presence. She was very lowkey and whatever I asked help for, it was magically done right away. I asked for food or drink, done. Honestly, all the staff had been awesome to us, including the bartenders, the waiters. It was perfect, none that gave us headaches at all. And the food. Our guests couldn't stop raving about it. It was delicious and never ending. I wanted to attend to any wedding at East Wind just to have a great dinner and experience everything again. Thankful for this bunch! ️️

We got married at the Picnic House in April 2024 and had a great experience! It's a beautiful space that you can do a lot with. We really appreciated both having both the flexibility of choosing amongst a variety of vendors, as well as the assurance that given their experience with the venue that they'd be easy to work with day of (which was true- we had a very smooth wedding day!). We really appreciated working with Caity, who was very responsive over email and quick to pick up the phone. Our only struggle was in acquiring our parking passes (that was really the mail's fault) and in getting some answers early on regarding external alcohol policies. And I would say be very careful in selecting your caterer, since they'll make or break your experience. But overall I would absolutely recommend the Picnic House to anyone! The price really can't be beat for what you're getting.

Gabe and the entire crew at HH knocked it out of the park. The entire day went flawlessly, they worked seamlessly with our vendors, set up the rooms better than I could have ever imagined. Not to mention the space itself/location is GORGEOUS….but funny enough, we booked the space for the insane views of NYC, but happened to get the foggiest day of December - it. Did. Not. Matter. !!! This wedding venue is beautiful and has a spacious parking lot which is convenient for Brooklyn. There were so many appetizers and the guests really enjoyed their food. Richie Jr. is THE BEST person you could work with (easy to talk to and knowledgeable) and trust to handle all of the details. For example, we didn’t initially like the cake with the bakery they worked with but they spoke with them to custom-make it to our taste so it was delicious. Plus my husband is gluten free and once we provided the gluten-free bread crumbs, Richie worked with the chef to make some appetizers work for him. The packages were also really reasonably priced and it came with valet parking, doorman, hostess, master of ceremonies, maitre d’, head waiter, etc. They have multiple event rooms (the second floor is also going to be renovated in 2022 but I wish they would take the old red carpeting in the Patrician room - where we were since it is outdated). In the Patrician Room, we did have placement issues with the TV and cold sparkler machines so my advice for the couple is not to have the DJ in the back corner, have them closer to the dais on the right or left hand side so the lights and other tech will be worth it and if the cold sparklers are in the back corner, we can’t take pics with it but if they are in the front they set off the fire alarms so I hope this doesn’t happen with the other event rooms in terms of layout. The ladies restroom/powder room is really nice but the men’s restroom is outdated and painted green so it could use an update. But amazing chandeliers and there is also a small garden by the side area in case people want to go out for some air. Overall, you’ll have a great wedding planning experience and it’s an affordable venue with good food.

We had our wedding at El Caribe on 08/26/2023 and our wedding day was perfect! My wife legitimately cried when she entered the Tiara ballroom. It was the only time she cried the entire day... she didn’t even shed a tear at the church lol. It well more than exceeded our expectations. Cocktail hour was incredible! My wife and I didn’t attend cocktail hour but we were able to see some photos from our guests and it was unbelievable! Cocktail hour included a lobster wall, an oyster shucking station, fresh mozzarella being made fresh in front of your eyes… it was incredible. We wish we had attended our cocktail hour just to view everything in person but we knew that we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy any of the food if we did (as we would have been approached by everyone trying to talk to us and wish us congratulations). Instead we enjoyed all the food being served at the cocktail hour in a separate private room. The staff and service was incredible! Alan was super attentive. He made sure that we stayed hydrated and were able to actually enjoy the food from our cocktail hour and dinner. During our private cocktail hour, Alan dressed my wife in a white tablecloth (so she didn’t spill anything on her dress) and was attending to our every needs. One of my groomsmen’s wives joined us in our private room (she was pregnant and we welcomed her to join us so she could be comfortable) and she commented how awesome and attentive the staff was and how the staff at her venue practically forgot about her wedding (we didn’t ask for her to elaborate lol). Similarly Ashley (the bridal attendant) and George were awesome as well! The MOH was struggling to bustle my wife’s dress and Ashley just took over and bustled it up quickly! I would highly suggest El Caribe for your wedding venue! After attending my wedding my cousin (who experienced El Caribe for the first time at my wedding) booked his wedding at El Caribe shortly afterwards. Also, your cake from Aliotta Pastry Shop is included when you book with El Caribe and the cake was phenomenal.

Constructed soon after the Great Fire of 1902, The United Bank Building was built to house two banks whose previous buildings had been destroyed, New Milford Savings Bank and the New Milford First National Bank. The two banks immediately organized to rebuild, quickly agreeing in principal to build a joint facility on the site of the New England House, a locally well known tavern and inn located at the corner of Bank and Main Street. For most of its life, the building had been used in some form of a bank, but had been largely under-used in recent decades, and had fallen into disrepair. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and taken over by Village Green Investments in 2015. After 9 months of renovations, the building became 19Main. Throughout renovations, we strived for modern amenities with historic elegance; three vaults remain from the building’s former bank days.
