About this venue

501 Union is a space of subtle distinction and quiet refinement. The building dates back to 1916 and once served as a classic car restoration shop. It was transformed into a private events venue in 2013 and now provides a unique backdrop for Brooklyn's most stylish weddings. Paired with our exceptional service, guests can enjoy three distinct spaces within the venue: a covered atrium, an elegant cocktail lounge, and a light-filled reception hall. Locally-sourced design elements include Modo chandeliers by Jason Miller, customized Flavor Paper wallpaper, and a vaulted skylight that runs the length of the main gathering space reflect the best of old and new Brooklyn: industrial chic with a touch of modern glamour.

    501 Union was the perfect choice for us! The space is beautiful on its own and is a great canvas for adding your personal touches. We loved that there were different spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on site, making it super easy for us and our guests. Andrea and the staff at 501 Union were great to work with! It was so easy to schedule a tour when we were looking at venues and they gave us so much helpful information that made the choice an easy one. As the planning went on, Andrea was helpful in answering questions as they came up and working with us to ensure the day was perfect! Definitely recommend!

    We recently hosted our wedding at 501 Union in June 2024. The staff at 501 Union were exceptional from start to finish. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for our wedding day made everything run smoothly. Our event manager, Abby, was always available to answer questions and provided so much guidance throughout the planning process. She was fantastic! We couldn’t be happier with our decision to host our wedding here and would highly recommend 501 Union to any couple looking for a venue that will make their wedding day magical.

    Words can't express the gratitude I have for 501 Union and its staff. It is a universe - starting- with most importantly the space - it is truly perfectly designed for a seamlessly transitioned evening, yet flexible for different vibes or sizes. Every space has a character distinct from one another yet cohesive in style and current in every season. The amenities are just right - large kitchen, plenty of bathrooms, and a cute bridal suite. The staff is knowledgeable, kind and reliable. A true Brooklyn gem!
