This place is amazing on many levels. I held our wedding here and it was a great venue. We didn’t have to worry about finding a caterer bc her husband does that! She was very accommodating and helpful! I would definitely recommend having your wedding here or just a long stay for the weekend! Plenty of rooms and bathrooms for everyone! Blue Dress Barn made every part of my enchanted fairytale come true. I was never the type of girl who wanted a stuffy, and buttoned up traditional venue and the BDB is certainly not that. The grounds are beautiful and lush and Amelia and her team take care of you from the first time you step in to see the barn, to the smallest whimsical detail like the beautifully painted flowers on the bathroom walls to the chalkboard welcome signs. I would recommend this unique wedding venue to anyone looking for a different wedding venue experience and one that my guests are still talking about after our wedding almost 2 weeks ago now. It was slightly rainy the day of our wedding but it only made the greenery pop even more. The team was ready and on deck to switch the ceremony indoors but the rain stopped. It is SUCH a great feeling to have a team and venue know how to quickly adapt to weather changes. I am so glad after all the venues we scoured in the blistering heat of July that we went with the Blue Dress Barn and recommend this unique destination to all prospective brides and grooms. Thank you Amelia and Georgia, for making Alex and I's day so special and memorable.

Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost. The coordinators are so thoughtful, hard-working and knew exactly how to make my husband and I, our wedding party, and all of our guests feel welcome and cared for. As a busy florist, I'm at new venues constantly. Leaving Sylvan Ridge the other night after a long day of work there, I could not get over the overall vibe that encompassed every part of my experience there. So at ease while definitely efficient and organized, breath taking and gorgeous scenery and buildings, such positive and accommodating staff, and truly just an overall feeling of joy and positive energy. Such a perfect spot to celebrate something important and memorable! As a vendor, I truly look forward to getting back there.

The estate was granted in 1683 and was a favored stopping ground for George Washington who enjoyed the parties thrown at this elegant and intimate property still nestled in natural woodlands and ag preserved lands.

Worsell Manor is not only a beautiful venue but also provide a seamless wedding experience. The wedding coordinators Shaina and Ashlee are outstanding and keep everything running so smoothly. Scott was flexible with every request and Kim was so helpful on rehearsal day and wedding day. Every person I encountered in this process that was associated with Worsell was so kind and provided answers to every question in a timely manner. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day, I wish I could re-live it over and over again! I highly recommend using Shaina and/or Ashlee as your wedding coordinators- I couldn’t have done any of this without them.

Kat, the chef, prepared the most delicious meals that our guests are still raving about. The food and beverage service was top-notch, with a variety of options that catered to all dietary needs and preferences. What stood out the most was the flexibility and support provided by the team. While their team handled the venue and catering aspects impeccably, they allowed us to bring our own touch to the décor and music, making our wedding uniquely ours. Flagstaff House was the perfect vendor. Annie and her team put on a flawless event. She worked seamlessly with all of our vendors and our outside coordinator. The venue is BEAUTIFUL, unique, and our guests loved it. The food was incredibly and guests loved being able to select their entree from 3 options the day of (also much easier for us to not have to collect meal selection ahead of time). The venue was incredibly flexible with changes that came up in planning, and quickly responded to all questions during planning. For couples looking for a unique and elegant venue, I cannot recommend Flagstaff House enough for a small/intimate wedding. Choosing Flagstaff House as our wedding vendor for our ceremony/reception space made it easy for planning. They handle all ceremony chair rentals, and set up. All food and beverage is provided in house and included passed appetizers, a 3 course lunch (salad and bread, choice of entree, and delicious wedding cake), and a coffee/water station. We also opted for an open bar with beer, wine, and cocktail options for our guest. All beverages were beautifully prepared and the service was top notch!

The venue itself is in excellent condition, maintained with great care for historic preservation/accuracy, and spotlessly clean. The photos on the venue website very accurately represent the venue. We did a tour and several walk throughs in the planning process and each time we visited, it was spotless; impressive. The management of the Oviatt-- Lindsey & Gabe-- are industry experts in Wedding and special event planning. The staff was friendly, warm, courteous-- worked effortlessly as a team-- and each individual showed great initiative, sense of urgency, and ability to self-manage. It was a flawless event. All of our major vendors, the caterer, dj, wedding planner, and photographer, were from the Oviatt's preferred vendor list, which is well curated. Services from the preferred vendor teams were excellent. Above and beyond experience. Several guests said it was truly the best wedding they've attended in their lifetimes. We went for a full open bar so your pricing may vary. The pricing was very transparent and the welcome kit sent via email after our deposit was instrumental in our planning. There are truly no words that can express my love for Stoney Ridge Villa or Missy. Missy was nothing but incredible the whole 11 months we spent planning. I would text her random questions and she would always reply in a timely manner and would always give me advice if I needed it. She was just genuinely incredibly easy to work with the entire process. Lets talk about wedding day.. Missy was AMAZING. We arrived on wedding day with tables and chairs already set up. Cross for the ceremony, already set up. Missy helped in more ways than I could've asked on wedding day. I know people don't always read long reviews so I will keep it short and say if you are considering SRV, do it. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this wedding venue is. From start to finish, they made the whole process easy. They have packages where you can have a huge portion of your wedding included, so you do not have to look for many outside vendors like a baker, photographer, and caterer. My first time touring the Barn at Black Walnut Farm I moved along very slowly. Everywhere I looked I found an interesting antique treasure that caught my eye! The barn and house provide so many unique areas to take photos. One of my favorite spots is the lounge which sits on the balcony in the barn; you can overlook the dance floor, get a close-up look of the 4 foot wide disco ball, and feel like you've been transported back in time! The property also has plenty of space for wandering, an outdoor ceremony, relaxing during the reception, yard games, and heck, a perfect place for your guests to pitch a tent and stay the night! In less than half an hour you could be hiking in the Catskill Mountains or stopping by Kaaterskill Falls for some epic waterfall photos (highly recommend)!! Getting married at Villa Festa was a dream. Not only is this venue absolutely gorgeous, you get it for a whole weekend and this includes enough space for 15 people to stay on property! Beth and Brian were amazing to work with. They are so nice and professional and really feel like they are invested in your wedding. Since our wedding day was a little less conventional, they worked with us to ensure we were able to execute it exactly how we wanted while being extremely flexible. They also did an amazing job renovating the property while keeping the historic charm. The staff that setup all the tables and chairs were so quick - I actually never even noticed them! I blinked, and before I knew it, tables were set, chairs were arranged, and everything was exactly where it needed to be. There are so many great photo spots - the oak tree for the ceremony, the secret hedges in front of the house, the front steps, the balcony, and of course, the iconic black and white tiled room   Our wedding day at Villa Festa surpassed all of our expectations, leaving us with memories that will last a lifetime. Our wedding at the Greenpoint Loft in September was absolutely perfect. We looked at all types of spaces- historic banks, lofts, traditional wedding spaces... Nothing felt right until we walked into GPL. The space is a "blank slate" in that you have to bring every thing in, but it has such beautiful bones and so much character and warmth. Working with Adam and BK events made bringing everything in super easy, and our vendors seemed to have no issues with the functionality of the space. We worked with their preferred vendors (ULS was fantastic for lighting) and some of our own, and the GPL team was flexible and accommodating at every step. This venue felt like our own little world, even though we were inside a larger building. We were initially concerned about one shared elevator to get 160 guests upstairs but it was no problem at all. Also, doing the ceremony in the round was so intimate and beautiful. We were also concerned with how we would flip the ceremony into cocktail/dinner while folks were still in the main space because we couldn't get everyone up to the mezzanine with 165 guests, but it worked pretty seamlessly because the main floor is big enough for people to spread out while the caterers moved chairs, and some people were upstairs. I can't recommend this venue enough, it is worth the extra effort to bring your own vision to life inside this beautiful space.

Before I even stepped foot at Avon Hill, I was crossing my fingers that my husband and I would love it in person as much as we did online. The barn is absolutely stunning. The views at sunset? Out of this world! Getting the venue the entire weekend, getting to stay on site without panicking over transportation, cleaning up all your decor at midnight, or having to rush to see your closest friends and family before they head back to their respective hotels? Sign me up! But Sarah and Jocelyn really give you a sense of the soul of the place. From the initial emails, in person meetings, and site visits, they were always so pleasant, kind, and quick to answer any and all questions I had. I felt like I was planning this event with extended family! They were so incredibly accommodating and you could tell they genuinely care about each and every couple they have on site! My whole wedding party felt so comfortable all weekend. Your wedding day is gone in the blink of an eye, so every precious hour over the fire pit making smores, or drinking a cup of coffee with your siblings the day before the insanity starts is not to be overlooked! We even wound up booking the main lodge Thursday night, giving us precious time with some of our family and time to get settled in. We hosted family and friends at Historic Ann’s for my daughter’s wedding in October. Julie and Ellen were very thorough and super helpful in all the preparations for the big day. The property is beautiful. Our bridesmaids stayed in the event house the night before the wedding and had a wonderful time. We would encourage anyone to also take advantage of the Airbnb houses adjacent to the venue. It was perfect for our young nieces and nephews to feel part of the event but also disappear to play when they wanted. Many local people go out of Union City to find the perfect venue. For parties around 100 this venue is perfect, convenient, beautiful, and managed so well! We plan to host other events there in the future. Historic Ann’s is a gem!

We had an excellent experience using the Chapel on Sycamore for our wedding in May 2023! Lisa Milko was very professional and went above and beyond on the venue coordination and scheduling, and also as our wedding coordinator! Highly recommend hiring here to do month of coordination, as it was a seamless process since she knows the venue inside and out. We can't say enough about the beauty of the venue and the ease with which we were able to coordinate the details of our day! Everyone had wonderful things to say about this special venue!

The grounds are beautifully kept and offered so many photo opportunities for my daughter’s dream come true wedding. The staff was very knowledgeable and monitored the weather forecast and offered great suggestions when Mother Nature decided to throw us a curve ball. I highly recommended using one of their day of coordinators. Stephanie was ours and as the Mother of the bride and Matron of Honor, I could not have done it without her attention to detail. She was able to bring my daughter’s vision to reality. It really is a hidden gem!

I recommend The Lake House 100%. Ms. Lauren was the best! we had an easy time planning the wedding. We didn't have much time, we planned it in about 2 1/2 months and she helped us all the way. On the day of the wedding, she took care of us, my husband and I were able to actually enjoy the wedding because she was there helping us and making sure everything was fine. She is a sweet, caring person, and we loved working with her and her staff.

This venue and the team that works there are fantastic! Communication was clear and timely with the team. The venue itself is gorgeous and does not need many decorations. Not to mention the multiple places you can get photos taken nearby and in the building. We got married here in October and it was perfect! I cannot recommend Long Hill enough as a wedding venue. Not only are the gardens incredibly green and lush, but the crew works with you to make sure you have all your questions answered and execute the wedding that you envision. There are several options for spaces to have your ceremony and cocktail hour, and the tent is perfect for the reception. We received so many comments after our wedding about how gorgeous the venue was (including both bridal and groom suites) and about how delicious the food was! We really had the best time and wish we could do it all over again!!

I just adore Osmica Spring Farm. The owners are some of the nicest people to work with and are willing to go above and beyond for their clients. They want everyone who comes to the farm to feel like family and like they are home, and they sure do deliver. The inn itself has so much charm and has been beautifully remodeled with the original pieces kept authentic. The barn has a beautiful loft that overlooks Cayuga lake and the beautiful rolling hills of the area. Outside, there is plenty of space to have bonfires, place a tent outside, or enjoy a cocktail hour in the fresh air. I highly recommend this space for anyone looking for a place to have a barn wedding in central new york!

The owner (Ceci) and manager (Denise) were amazing and were so helpful the entire way through. All our expectations were met and then some. Everything about Hampshire House was flawless. From the moment that we stepped in at The Library on the 2nd floor, we knew that this was the right place for our reception. It's impeccable and provides an aura of elegance and style. The flexibility that Hampshire House offers, with the option of having up to two bars and two floors, is truly unmatched. This allows you to play with the space to create an intimate environment for all of the guests. We were able to spend a moment of quality time with each one of them. All the communication was extremely clear and expressed on time. We planned everything in under three months and they were able to accommodate all of our needs, requests, and last-minute changes in a seamless manner. Lindsay Beshero was outstanding, she was always on top of every detail and made sure that the reception was perfectly timed and ran smoothly. I just can't recommend her enough as your main point of contact for any event or wedding. The professionalism of the staff was incredible. They were very attentive to all the guests, especially the elderly ones, always eager to help, and made sure that the place looked in great shape by the time all the guests arrived and that it remained that way throughout the evening. As for the food, it was out of this world. Due to the size of our guest list, we decided to go with the buffet option and that was the best decision. People were able to try the two pasta stations, the tenderloin, and the salmon. The guests liked it so much that there was a line for seconds and they even asked us where did we got the hors d'oeuvres from. Hampshire House is a top-tier wedding venue in the Boston area. Flanked by the streets of Beacon Hill and right in front of the Boston Public Garden, the building's elegance makes you feel that you are part of history or, in this case, that you are making history there.

From the first tour and meeting with Aleshia, everyone we met with or spoke to from the venue was so kind, patient, and they truly cared about making our big day special. Our day-of coordinators (Adriana, Ady, and Haley) were incredibly kind and so well-organized. We supplied our own decor and had vendors dropping off floral/favors/cake- everything from load-in and set-up of the decor to teardown and load-out went seamlessly. If any issues arose, they were solved and I didn’t know and had no stress on my wedding day. In addition to the incredible people working to ensure your wedding is perfect, the venue itself is beautiful. The bridal suite is perfect for getting-ready photos, the courtyard is wonderful for first looks and family portraits, and the whole space is bright and airy. We highly recommend getting married at Venue 1902!

When we were looking for a wedding venue in Bloomington, we wanted something unique and the Buskirk-Chumley Theater was just that! Guests loved it and so did we. From getting ready in theater dressing rooms (which have the best lighting for wedding day makeup), to being on stage during the ceremony, to dancing in the orchestra pit with a disco ball, the whole day was perfect. The Tech Director, David, was so incredible and helped with lighting, music, and rearranging after the ceremony to the dinner setup. We were planning the wedding from 2 hours away which made things tricky at times but the Event Manager, Jordan, made things easy and was able to answer any questions we had. The venue is unique, affordable, and within walking distance from most of the hotels which made things easy for us and our guests! I can't recommend the Buskirk-Chumley Theater enough for your big day.

The Fire House did an amazing job with our wedding! The whole staff was professional, friendly, and after every conversation with our wedding coordinator, Rhiannon, I was more at ease each time, which is priceless! They handled special requests with ease and a can-do attitude. We are a gay couple, and they are all very welcoming to the LGBTQ community as well as each of the independent vendors they use, so it really put us at ease! The venue itself is a rustic, historic building that used to be an actual Fire Station! It's historical, unique and such a cool space! I highly recommend the Fire House Event Center!

Our experience so far with Waterloo Village and their staff has been amazing. From the moment we walked onto the property at Waterloo, we knew it was going to be our wedding venue! Between the beautiful farm, the adorable animals (love the alpacas), the gorgeous canal and historic homes, and the venue itself, we made our venue decision very quick! We got to see all of the ceremony spots which were all beautiful in their own unique way, but since our wedding is in summer we fell in love with their Secret Garden location. It is tucked away in the trees and just gives very magical vibes. So we are super excited! Once we picked Waterloo as our venue, it only got better from there. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. We brought our families to the open house and both sets of parents could not believe how incredible the food was! JAM catering does an amazing job of make fresh food that is sustainable and mostly grown by them (AMAZING)! At our tasting, it was incredible how organized and friendly all of the staff were. We cannot wait for our wedding at Waterloo Village!

We were told “all you need is a DJ, Photographer, and JP and we take care of the rest” they were not kidding. I mean we actually had someone the night of our wedding basically thinking for us. He was like a tour guide taking us step by step through our night. The entire process from booking to partying was absolutely seamless. Vanessa toured us, answered all of our questions, even my moms questions while we face timed her during our tour, and helped us with the contract so we could lock in our date for this beautiful venue. Once we had our date, Michael took over and I must say… he rocks!!!!!! He is like a floorplan guru. We explained where we wanted everything and as we spoke he was rearranging everything live. We wanted to do a memorial table, photo booth, welcome table, favor table and he just had space for everything. FYI they have this thing called the MTA…it is a lifesaver. As we got our RSVP’s in, it was so overwhelming, but Michael was to the rescue and when I called him he sent it right over and explained it and having a space to organize our RSVP’s and what meals each guest were getting was so helpful. The best part is when I started getting those calls…”oh don’t sit me with Joann”…it was so easy to drag them to another table. All the woodwinds staff was so knowledgeable about the venue and the food. I didn’t know what to write on our invitation cards for meal selections so I called them up and Kate answered and knew what every food dish was and explained it in such detail I was starving after the conversation. The planning team was impeccable…the night of our wedding was just as smooth and its almost like all the employees were sitting in our meetings and phone calls because they all knew exactly what we wanted, where all the decorations went, even down to what my favorite drink was so I never had to ask. I’m so happy we got married at woodwinds and they made our dreams come true. We could not have asked for a better experience and we may have to start doing anniversary parties just to go back!!!

My husband and I are so grateful and happy to have had a great team at the Secret Garden who were flexible to adjust to the outside conditions with ease and grace. Sydney was also a great help navigating through all the many details, questions, and day of coordination. Janice did a fantastic job on the beautiful tablescapes as well! We wanted to find a venue where we could be surrounded by plants/nature, and the Stonehurst was the perfect location for us. I just had my wedding here. This venue is beautiful and the owner Ashley and staff are amazing! they were the best to work with and literally thought of every little detail. The food was amazing too! They also have a great bridal suite for the ladies to utilize for getting ready the day of your wedding that was very convenient in the winter months when the weather is unpredictable and you would like to get ready with out worry about traveling to venue after you are all ready and the weather is questionable

There is a large parking area to accommodate parking for all guests. Plus they have a wonderful Inn for any guests whom want to stay overnight. I recommend The Greenwood Manor Inn to anyone asking for a wedding venue, event venue, or just a quiet relaxing place to lay their heads. The Greenwood Manor Inn has so much to enjoy in Harrison.

We had an amazing wedding reception at the Delaney House. I walked into wedding planning clueless and Nicole helped guide us through the whole process, with selecting an amazing photographer and DJ, to taste testing entrees and wedding cakes, everything went smoothly and as planned! The staff were very attentive during the reception and everyone commented what a beautiful wedding it was, even on a rainy day! We had our after party at the Mick and stayed at the D Hotel. We also provide full in-house catering, beverage service, and staffing and will connect you with the very best local vendors. The Rose also has a concert-quality sound system, up to 4 large-screen televisions, a theater-quality video projection system, and an elevated stage enabling comprehensive entertainment options.

When I saw the renovations to The Rose, I knew that it was the venue I wanted to host my wedding at. After meeting Patricia from All Four Seasons Event, their in-house wedding coordinator (!!!) and touring the place the decision was final, it was our one and only venue tour. The planning process was so easy since, 1. you get to work with Patricia who is the best wedding coordinator and 2. it's an all-inclusive venue. All-inclusive might seem scary since you don't get as many options as you would if you sourced everything from 18 million different vendors, but the convenience is 100% worth it and The Rose has curated an amazing selection of furniture, decor, linens, booze, and food. What's more is, just because it's all-inclusive doesn't mean you're locked into their preset offerings. We custom designed a menu to be served at interactive stations that guests could visit throughout the night instead of a traditional dinner service. Unfortunately due to the pandemic we had to postpone our wedding (two weeks before it was set to happen) and then recently made the decision to cancel our early 2021 wedding reception. The Rose staff was amazing throughout the whole process and we are so grateful for their amazing team. Since we were so close to our actual event we had completed the final walk-through, food tasting, and even a little wine tasting they threw together for us. The food was AMAZING and I will dream in anguish about the mac and cheese sticks until they put them on the restaurant menu. After the final walk-through, I was so confident that our event was going to go off without a hitch. So it is what it is, but I would 100% recommend The Rose to any couple looking for a venue in the beautiful Historic Golden, CO.

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity.
