I picked this location because of how beautiful the landscape is. So many different spots on the property to get married on, all beautiful. Different locations cost different price. Overall, relatively cheap compared to other venues. When talking to them, I first started with one wedding coordinator. She left and was informed about the new coordinator. She introduced herself and thought she was awesome. She was very tentative to all the details and was very helpful. I wasn’t informed that she had left and a new coordinator had taken her spot. I didn’t know there was a new coordinator until the day before the wedding. She didn’t take charge of anything. She took a back seat to everything. Told her I had a specific song I wanted to play for walking down the aisle. There wasn’t any sort practice with the song at the rehearsal. She couldn’t figure out how to connect my phone to the sound system. She couldn’t figure out how to navigate the song that I had already pulled up on my phone.

I highly recommend William's Orchard as your venue if you're considering it. Throughout the wedding planning process the team was communicative and helpful. They were accommodating down to the last day before the wedding, helping our dream come to life. The team had great ideas too when it came to catering and small details that ultimately improved our guest experience. The venue itself is gorgeous and our guests had a blast. We're still getting compliments on the day. A nice touch was being able to have dinner in the orchard, a last minute decision we made that was recommended by the team and ultimately helped the day flow better. I can't recommend William's Orchard enough!

At the top of the grand staircase in the all-glass foyer, guests will find a tall corridor, flanked by two sets of massive, 12 foot turn-of-the-century doors, leading to a grand ballroom, complete with a show-stopping chandelier.

My fiancé and I discovered the hidden gem of 19 North by Froehlich's while initially visiting for a delightful breakfast at Froehlich's restaurant. We were thrilled to learn it doubles as a stunning wedding venue! From the grandeur of the 8-foot chandelier and star-like pendant lights to the vintage charm of the ornate tin ceiling tiles, this venue marries historical preservation with modern elegance. The impressive wooden doors promise an unforgettable ceremony entrance, complemented by antique lounge sets and a private entrance through a picturesque glass atrium, perfect for a cocktail hour. The photos I'm including are frames from a video I took during the tour and they simply do not do this beautiful space justice! As a Chicago couple seeking a beautiful wedding without the metropolitan price tag, we were thrilled by 19 North's proximity to Chicago and charming towns like Three Oaks, New Buffalo, and Michigan City. The all-inclusive experience, from the beautiful furnishings to the option of building a custom menu, means fewer details to manage and more time to enjoy the journey to our special day. There are also tons of walkable Airbnbs which will be great for us and our out-of-town guests. The array of options and pricing transparency for catering and staffing have been impressive, reflecting the venue's commitment to ease and excellence. Drew, our point of contact, embodies professionalism and attentiveness, answering every query quickly with patience and insight. For those on the market for a wedding venue that promises a seamless blend of historical allure and contemporary services, look no further. I wholeheartedly recommend scheduling a visit to 19 North by Froehlich's - a true embodiment of vintage elegance and an all-encompassing wedding experience. We eagerly await our wedding day at this enchanting venue and are confident it will create memories that we and our guests will cherish forever!

I was shocked the first time I visited and met with Angelique and Richard. We had a really great time with them, felt comfortable and well informed. They were very transparent and we didn’t feel like they were just trying to get the sale like every other place we toured. Not to mention the prices for what you get is worth every penny. The place is clean, well kept and everything we wanted . And being a photographer, this place has the perfect lighting. Excited to work with them for our event very soon!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at the Brick, and had a fabulous experience. While the space is large, they made the room feel perfect for our smaller, 65-person event. De is awesome to work with; she made herself and the space available for multiple previews, and for my parents coming early to set up. She also worked with the Navarre team to dial-in a few special menu items to make the experience even more unique. I cannot say enough good things!

From its historical beginnings as a stoic munitions depot, The Armory experienced a beautiful transformation to showcase a sophisticated ballroom, classy built-in bar and impressive commercial kitchen. Original element of the 1928 Armory construction and subsequent Newman Recreations Center were incorporated into the even space renovation to provide the perfect blend of past and present.Iron-barred doors used to secure armers and thick concrete walls reinforced with brick to accommodate the National Guard Armory and shooting range lend a rustic industrial aesthetic. Wood from the recreation center bleachers line the dramatic bar and the orginial hardwood floor was dressed up to grace the ballroom. Fernwood really is a hidden gem. The grounds are beautiful and their rates very affordable! They were very responsive to my many questions, and very helpful on the day of our wedding. They even let us use an extra classroom for the groomsmen to get ready in. They were also really flexible. You can’t really go wrong here, and the garden itself can be your decor! We also left one item behind by accident which we were able to pick up a few days later. Lots of “areas” to choose from for your day, too. Only complaint was the poison Ivy growing along some of the pathways, which were already fairly narrow. We just used alternate paths and it was no big deal!

Everyone says “Something will go wrong on your wedding day.” They don’t know the magic of the Morris Estate. It’s impossible to describe how perfect our wedding day was, not only for me and my husband, but also our wedding party and our families. Everyone involved got to spend the long weekend relaxing, having fun, and celebrating at this beautiful property without any worry of getting assigned random tasks or cleanup duties— the Morris Estate staff was ON IT every step of the way. At the helm was Ryan Bergstrom, our coordinator, who made the incredibly complicated task of planning a wedding feel easy. As an artist, I wanted every element to be unique and intentional, and was quite frankly worried that the Estate wouldn’t be amenable to a more avant-garde event. I approached them with the idea of hanging a large tapestry painting in the chapel and they got right to work with how they could make that happen. There were no requests that went unheard, and it was clear Ryan was a fantastic collaborator and coordinator in all aspects of planning. Plus, anything or anyone that you need, they have a great recommendation on deck— we found this to be true when seeking an officiant for our ceremony as well as a florist. Trudi and Cherry Road Homestead knocked the florals out of the park. The actual wedding ceremony couldn’t have gone more smoothly, with a comprehensive rehearsal in the chapel and the changing rooms in the basement, everyone was able to get ready on time and relax leading up to the ceremony. With about 100 people in it, the chapel felt intimate but gave guests plenty of room to breathe. It was a short, beautiful ceremony that was tailored exactly to our needs as a couple. Yet another fabulous aspect of working with the Morris Estate was the ease of transition throughout events. Cocktails were in guests’ hands before I could even finish bustling my dress. We never felt rushed, yet everything managed to happen on time. Ryan did a great job taking the time beforehand to meet any vendors not directly from the Estate, so everyone knew exactly what they needed to do their part. The reception was unbelievable. I’ve planned other events, designed movie sets and installation art, and was truly blown away by what they accomplished. It was so exciting to see all of the love and hard work that went into making our vision come to life and see the excitement on guests’ faces when they walked into the tent. It was colorful, magical and totally surreal. Now, to talk about the food. With the estate catering both the rehearsal dinner and reception we got to try just about everything on the menu. We were very pleasantly surprised at our tasting before the wedding. The Estate Manager Nate, Chef Tom and their team had tons of options for us that were as beautiful as they were delicious. Arguably, the most difficult part of working with the Morris Estate was having to pick just a few of the options for our customized menu because they were all. so. good. Our guests had so many kind words about how fun and joyous the entire evening was, and instead of worrying who was going to help clean up at the end of the night, the Morris Estate had it fully covered. Everything was organized back into boxes for us to take home the next morning. I’m sure I’m forgetting so many other wonderful things that the staff did for us, but we will forever be grateful for such an incredible long weekend full of love and celebration. TLDR: Everything was perfect.

We recently hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at Meyer's Castle, and consolidating everything in one space proved to be a very smart decision. We chose this venue specifically for its stunning on-site ceremony space, distinctive layout, and spectacular gardens. Throughout the planning process, communication was excellent, with prompt responses to all our questions. The pricing was transparent, and there were no surprises.

The venue is truly amazing. The terrance for our ceremony looked over the Michigan Lake and the City of Chicago Skyline. The indoor area to eat and dance shows a great classy and modern decor. The venue definitely speaks for itself, and does not require much decorations to reflect a beautiful wedding. One downside we experienced was communication. My wife and I were shocked on some of the responses. This was our first time getting married, and some of the communications back to us made it seem like we should know everything about the wedding industry. We also had to repeat multiple emails and communications even though this information was given to another college at the venue.

We picked the name “ Marion Magnolia Farms.” As we thought of both of our daughters and named it after them as Marion and Magnolia are their middle names. We are excited to present our dream to not only our small, hometown community but to the many others surrounding us. We hope to help the other small businesses here flourish.

I can’t recommend a better venue! This venue was EVERYTHING! The owners, Brittany and Nick, are absolutely sweet and communicated promptly. The venue is family ran by having family doing different parts. The coordinator Lauren was the calmest ever and helped calm my nerves and handled all the issues without me even knowing. She and her team were amazing! Lauren helped give me the wedding of my dreams. This venue was perfect and the beautiful bridal suite is so spacious and beautiful! Also there’s an airbnb on property that me, my girls, and my mom stayed the night before (it can sleep 15 people). I could go on about my love for the venue and the caring people I’ve met that maintain the character and charm. If you want barn but also elegant…this is the venue for you!

Fair Oaks Farms was a nice venue for our wedding, though their communication style was a bit minimal on the actual wedding day. The quality of their work and value was very nice - the servers were attentive and helpful throughout the evening. However, when our official reception time was up at 11pm, the staff turned on all the lights and rushed us to gather our belongings and vacate the reception hall immediately. This made the end of our special night feel a bit abrupt and hurried. Overall, Fair Oaks Farms provided a pleasant setting for our wedding, but could improve the communication and transition at the end of the night.

My husband nor I are from Michigan (from the Chicagoland area) and everyone kept asking us "why Michigan?" The moment they walked in, they felt the same feeling I did when I first toured the venue. It is beautiful, unique, personal and was everything and more that I could have hoped for. Our wedding as at the end of June and we were very fortunate that the rain held off and the temperature/humidity ended up being perfect. We had about 185 guests attend the wedding and I think everyone was too stunned by the venue to even care about the drizzle of rain that was happening. Ok! I intend to be VERY HONEST about all my reviews bc I think vendor match is the most essential thing & for everyone. And, I don't even have the words for this one, so multiply everything I'm saying by 120. LM Studio, and Paulette specifically, was the best part of our wedding point blank period. They hit on all accords with us and our guests, and the worst part of the whole occasion is that I can't go back there on the regular and just hang out. MULTIPLE GUESTS including my father, with a lifetime of weddings, said the food was not just good BUT THE BEST WEDDING FOOD they have ever had. There wasn't a single complaint. And we agree just delicious. Scenery vibes - you're not going to do better. From the wall art/decor pierces, paint, textures, fabrics, colors, SO MUCH VELVET - there's so much to see. Guests also reported widely "there's not a single place in this venue that isn't ideal for a photo opp. It was just beautiful and we really wanted something that carried some weight decor wise. This place was my perfect match. Aesthetically, it's millions of bucks. I loved every part of it and going there, taking pictures, and just enjoying the luxury throughout the planning process was also such a joy. There's really so much more I could rave on for days about but the most important thing for couples to know is about Paulette who runs Events and Catering. The best way to sum it up is I want to be friends with Paulette. She made me feel important, like a priority, and really cared for from the proposal process until we said good night at the wedding. She is a gem and such a charismatic pleasure to be around. The people you hire to be around you on this day cannot be undervalued! They are the glue to hold everything together. Paulette worked with us on everything from vision to budget, she is so organized, so everything. I just cannot. I actually intended to write this review the day after my wedding because I love her so much, but still I don't even have the words to really convey the impression she left on us. LM gave me an even more perfect vision of everything I prayed for. Our wedding was PERFECT, and I know people don't say that a lot. Of course, there were hiccups but the things that were so perfect like everything at LM outweighed everything else. I wouldn't do anything differently in this part of the planning. Everyone in Chicago who vibes with the space should get married there. The pics are worth it enough if all the didn't make an impression. It really was a 10/10 and Paulette gave 100/10. It's also one of the last places where you feel good about what you're getting for what you're paying for... which we all learn is too rare in the wedding industry. Thank you, Paulette and LM Studio!

My wedding experience at the Blackstone was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we stepped into the venue to the final farewell, every detail was flawlessly executed. We worked with Carly, the event coordinator throughout the months leading up to the wedding date. She was talented and unbelievably dedicated to making the wedding everything we imagined. From our initial meeting months before the big day to the final moments of the reception, Carly's attention to detail, creativity, and poise made the day truly stress-free. The venue itself was a picturesque backdrop, absolutely stunning. Guests jaws dropped the moment they stepped into the Crystal Ballroom. The hotel itself was elegant as well. The rooms were modern and beautiful. The guests were impressed! The service from the hotel staff was impeccable. Every member of the team demonstrated a genuine commitment to ensuring the comfort and enjoyment of our guests. From the courteous front desk staff to the chefs who crafted a wedding menu was absolutely delicious, the entire team contributed to the overall success of the event. WOW! We recently hosted our daughter’s wedding in the Burnham Ballroom at the JW Marriott on west Adams, and it was a huge success on every level. There may be many hotels in the downtown/River North area that can accommodate 250 for a wedding, but none matched the combination of value, historic beauty, and a dedicated & coordinated team that is so client-focused as the JW Marriott downtown. From our first jaw-dropping peek at the remodeled exquisite Burnham Ballroom (after viewing over 20 other nearby venues), the JW instantly “vaulted” into first place. But first we had to get through the contract negotiating process, and Anita made that stress-free. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, responsive, candid and friendly, and is empowered to make most contract tweaks without constantly having to get approvals from others. The JW also offers a choice of various incentives to make the package even more attractive. And when you consider that nearly everything is included and onsite, the JW is a surprisingly good value over some of the trendy raw spaces. Once the contract was signed, Anita handed off the ongoing coordination to Bridget Kalsch and her team. Bridget is experienced, calming, patient and low-key, keeps track of every detail, has great and practical suggestions, and is uber-responsive to e-mail. Chef Lori was also incredibly amenable to tweaking recipes (in view of our restrictions). We were expecting “wedding food,” but we and our guests were all blown away by the presentation, preparation and portions. From appetizers through to the "Afterglow" of late-night snacks, everything was unique, plentiful, memorable and delicious. Jackie and her team made everything go smoothly on the day-of. We had thrown another wedding in the Loop just 11 months before and the JW team exceeded every expectation. Even our planner said he’d never seen a wedding for 250 people go so smoothly, with no hiccups. We are admittedly a high-maintenance client, and appreciated all of the following. • We had many dietary restrictions/preferences, and specialty elements we wanted included, and they made everything happen. • We needed to accommodate a large number of out-of-towners, and Patricia made the process painless and seamless. • The fourth floor setup, with its multiple breakout rooms and large hospitality suite adjacent to the Ballroom, is extremely convenient and flexible for before, during and after the wedding. • The bridal suite was spacious, gorgeous and flowed through to the adjoining guest room, so the large bridal party had plenty of space to relax and get ready (including hair and makeup) the morning-of; the hospitality suite was a perfect place for the groomsmen to get ready and for an afterparty for the bride & groom’s friends. • The historic lobby and second floor of the hotel provide an elegant backdrop for portraits/photos. • The Encore team, headed by Bob Heise, which handles the AV and the sophisticated lighting options for the Ballroom ceiling, was creative and helpful. • Unlike some high-profile ballrooms in the Chicago area, the Burnham Ballroom, with its arched ceiling, is acoustically perfect. We’re done planning weddings, but we’d strongly and enthusiastically recommend the JW! They went above & beyond in every way.
