Hi, I’m Kyle. I’m Northwest born, Portland based, and like to think that I have pines trees sprouting from my skin and sun-soaked glacial runoff coursing through my veins. Aside from photographing weddings, I enjoy strenuous hikes with a view as much as indie flicks, comic books, carving powdery slopes, rock climbing, and Trail Blazers games. I like to share these details because I strongly believe that connecting with the couples I collaborate with is integral to the creative process of photographing a wedding. A strong connection will result in the best images possible.

We were incredibly pleased with our experience with Kyle. From our initial consultation to when we received the photos following our wedding we knew we were in good hands. Kyle gave us a detailed understanding of his work and process, and took the time to listen to our wants/needs, and answered all of our questions and concerns. He provided us with a great resource to develop a shooting schedule for our chaotic day, and he was able to execute it flawlessly. He’s is kind, patient, and masterful in what he does and we are eternally grateful he captured all of the important moments on our wedding day. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my two dogs and three cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I'm 9 years old 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
I asked Leah to be my wedding photographer years before I even met my husband after seeing photos from different weddings I was apart of. Her work is phenomenal. This spring I got married and Leah was our photographer. THE PICTURES WERE PHENOMENAL!! I am still in awe of the beauty and magic Leah captured that day. If you are looking for a photographer that can capture more than a picture…Leah Flores is your photographer.

Venture Ever After

4.9

Portland, OR
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,800

My name is Nadia. I specialize in elopements + intimate weddings in the Pacific Northwest. I help people in love have the wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots. Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. In the great outdoors, you write the wedding rules. And I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between couples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately. We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits. Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.

There are many reasons couples choose not to have a “traditional” wedding, and the beauty is that you can make it anything you want it to be – and that’s also why I care so deeply about making sure every couple I work with knows that their day is important, beautiful, and deserves to be captured so you can look back on every detail. Hi! My name is Anna– I am an elopement and wedding photographer helping adventurous couples say “I do” on their own terms from coast to coast.

Anna is so sweet, caring, and a great communicator. As a wedding planner, it was great to work with her and she captured the beauty of the venue so well. The portraits and couple photos are stunning. Would definitely recommend her!

Hi! I’m Jess. I approach wedding photography with a photo journalistic eye, seeking out the authentic experiences of your day rather than fabricated moments. I shoot mostly film, medium format and 35mm, as well as a little bit of digital, to create timeless imagery that ages gracefully. I am trained as a fine art photographer, studying at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, and SFAI. I live in Portland, OR but am happy to travel.

Jess was an absolute dream to work with - so kind and thoughtful, very clear communication, flexible, and helped us feel comfortable/relaxed at all times! She took our engagement tintype photos (gorgeous, striking, super cool) as well as our wedding photos, and I just keep looking through the album and smiling at how well the energy of the day and our love was captured! Would definitely recommend her and her work. Thanks, Jess!

Jos & Tree

Portland, OR
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,500

We are a husband and wife team based in Portland, Or and travel worldwide (we love travel) to capture our couples stories, and capturing the best imagery we can!. We specialize in creative moment driven wedding & lifestyle photography. We are committed to telling our couples stories and supporting them in ways that allow them to be free of stress and to be in the moment.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jos and Tree came highly recommended to us and, having worked with them, we now know why! A lot of people take wedding photos. Among them are a handful of folks who are also reliable, professional, and pleasant to work with. And within that smaller group, is an even smaller group of photographers who have real artistic vision matched with technical skill. Jos & Tree are, without a doubt, near the top of that select group. The images they produced of our wedding run the gamut from traditional wedding photos to absolute masterpieces of lighting, composition, and technical execution. Here's an example: as the day was wrapping up, and a bit *after* Jos and Tree's deadline for leaving had passed, they quickly posed my wife and I in front of a tree in the park; Jos had a vision for an image he wanted to capture in the fading light... and the resulting image proved absolutely magnificent; it is my favorite photo of the day, and among the top photographs I have seen anyone create, anywhere. On top of the artistic talent and skill, Jos & Tree were an absolute pleasure to work with; responsive, pleasant, personable, and fun. They were always on time, and ready to work... and work they did!! The amount of effort and energy they put into capturing lots of beautiful and creative images cannot be overstated. And then, they edited them beautifully, and have been working with us to select images to print and put in a book. The quality of their artistic consultation has been phenomenal. My wife and I have seen a lot of wedding photos that people proudly post online on sites like reddit. I can confidently say that I've yet to see more interesting and beautiful wedding photos than the ones I've seen from Jos and Tree. It's a pleasure to give these two lovely people our highest recommendation.

Hello! I'm so glad you're here! I genuinely love getting to know other humans (and animals, of course) and telling their stories through photographs in a new and creative way. Life is really lovely and I want to capture it all, even the messy or complicated parts. As an inclusive elopement & wedding photographer, I have a passion for documenting human emotion, and every kind of love. All are welcome here. I believe you should have beautiful and creative photos to tell your story. I love photos that are simple, the ones that make you feel something. I can't wait to hear from you!

We are beyond grateful to have had Angelina as our engagement and wedding photographer! From the moment we stumbled across her portfolio, we KNEW she was the one we wanted to capture our special event. Angelina not only has an incredible talent for photography, but she also has a gift for making everyone feel like professional models and rockstars. Throughout the entire process, from the engagement shoot to the wedding weekend, Angelina became a part of our story, and it wouldn't have been as special without her. Angelina's photos are not just pictures; they are pieces of art that we can't wait to display all over our home! Her style is dreamy and unique and she has an amazing ability to capture moments in a way that is TRULY magical. We cannot thank Angelina enough for being a part of our wedding journey, and now our lives! She has the BIGGEST heart and contagious positive, yet calming energy. My parents were so impressed, they already gifted us a future photo shoot with her and we are just so grateful for this whole experience. Thank you, Angelina, for everything!

We're both a little goofy, love to dance, adore all fur babies, and will love you forever if you buy us tacos. We are best friends who get to work together which is really great. We started photographing weddings 11 years ago and are truly grateful that our work has filled our lives with so many incredible people. If you were to ask us what we love most about being wedding photographers we would tell you, it's the people, hands down! Experiencing and documenting the love and joy between couples and their families and friends is the best job ever.

Awarded Best of Zola
We are SO happy with our decision to have Briana shoot our wedding! We booked them back in 2018 and they did our engagement shoot in 2019. Bria was great about communicating and getting to know us prior to our shoot date! It truly felt like we were just hanging out with an old friend. Fast forward to 2020 when we learned our wedding would have to be cancelled due to COVID. Again, Bria was wonderful in her communication and we were able to shift gears and turn our would be wedding into an elopement shoot. Bria and Andrew are going to continue with us in our journey as we throw our big bash in 2022! Our photographs are absolutely STUNNING. Her style is very candid -- doesn't feel too pose-y. We got so many great shots at both of our events. She also works with GREAT local businesses for prints. We are absolutely in love with our gallery wall and our albums. Such high quality. Briana Morrison Photography is worth every penny and then some!

Terra Lange Photography

5.0

Portland, OR
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000

I live in Portland with my little family and I am thankful every day that I get to do something I love as a full time career. I got my BFA in photography from California College of the Arts in 2009, and started shooting weddings shorty after that. I believe there is so much magic in a photograph. It allows something to keep on existing, even after it’s gone. I strive to capture moments authentically but cleverly, using light, color and composition to make things compelling and beautiful. I try to be as candid as possible and use very minimal posing; taking a photojournalistic approach whenever I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
White Pepper had the joy of collaborating with Terra Lange Photography on a Gorge Crest Vineyards wedding that was ultimately featured on the Wedding Chicks Blog. She was kind and efficient day-of. She knew how to stick to a timeline and also worked well on a team of vendors to execute a wedding that made our client's day the amazing event they had envisioned.

Maria Newman Photography

5.0

Portland, OR
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000

I’m a wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I’ve documented hundreds of couples’ love stories over the past 11 years, traveling all over the United States and beyond, and it has been one of the biggest honors of my life. I received my degree in photojournalism in 2010 and chose to pursue documenting love instead of local and world news events, but my background in photojournalism greatly guides how I approach my duty as a wedding photographer. I always strive to capture the day how it happened: the love, the laughter and the tears. I want you to look back at your wedding images for decades to come with joy and pride.

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot recommend Maria enough! From the beginning with our engagement photos to the end with our wedding, Maria was nothing but fantastic. From the moment you meet her, you can tell she is incredibly passionate about her craft and truly cares about the people she photographs. She was so patient with us during our engagement shoot, and made such an effort to know all the tiny details of our wedding. An entire paragraph could be written on how talented she is, but her gorgeous images speak for themselves! She makes magic happen at weddings, catching all the details and in-between moments, and delivers such beautifully authentic photographs. It was a lovely experience working with her, and so reassuring to know that, through an already stressful time, we were in good hands. Thank you, Maria, for capturing all the love at our wedding! We will cherish these photographs for a lifetime.

Hello there! I’m Amy. My roots are here in the PNW, (Edmonds, Washington to be exact) but I spent most of my life in Texas waiting for the day when I could move my family home to the northwest. I have 5 sons (yep, 5!) and have to pinch myself when I think about my amazing family and this career that has taken my husband and I all over the world. I value experience and relationships over material things, and work mostly with couples who are planning smaller weddings or elopements. After 12 years and 300+ weddings, I’ve learned that connection and authenticity are essential to who I am, and the way that I work.

Kate Holt Photography

Professional photographer, lover of natural light, traveler, adventurer, happy wife and a dreamer! I fell in love with photography when my dad gave me his old film camera from a dusty box he had uncovered in our garage one spring cleaning day, and I have enjoyed taking photos ever since. I have travelled the world with my backpack, camera and trusty Apple laptop from Europe to India and South East Asia learning and being enriched by all the wonderful different cultures.

We first met Kate after winning an adventure engagement photo shoot. I had followed her on Instagram for a while and was a big fan of her light and bright style. She and her husband Dom were so wonderful to work with, we couldn’t imagine having our wedding with any other photographers! My husband was worried about feeling comfortable in front of the camera, but Kate was always excited to see us and gave great tips about posing. She made us feel and look beautiful and comfortable the whole day. We couldn’t wipe the smiles off of our faces and were able to concentrate on our happiness rather than worrying about how our pictures would turn out. She captured every detail to perfection, so we can relive the little things we worked hard to plan or didn’t have time to focus on. Kate has a lot of resources for couples and is extremely responsive via email. She returned our sneak peeks even faster than normal, at the request of my mother-in-law, just so she could show her friends who were unable to come to the wedding. Additionally, our whole gallery was sent to us in just a few weeks! That’s faster than most people get their first pictures back! Kate and Dom really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and special. We heartily recommend Kate Holt Photography to other couples!

We are Eric and Amber, a husband and wife wedding photography team with a different story than most. Both of us actually had our own established wedding photography businesses, with years of experience behind us, before we ever met. We found each other at a wedding professionals networking meeting, fell in love, on Valentines Day, no less, and got married 2 years later. Along the way, we merged our 2 businesses into Sightglass Photography.

Awarded Best of Zola
I had a vow renewal adventure weekend for our 10 year anniversary and wanted photos that were keepsakes. I hired Sightglass Photography who traveled to Crater Lake with us and documented the trip. They were the best at making my husband *who absolutely hates having his picture taken* feel comfortable, and honestly I think they are the best he's ever had done. I am on the heavier side and they suggested poses and angles to make me look my best and not feel uncomfortable. they were the best choice out of everything we did that weekend and I LOVE the gallery we received.

Hi I'm Lauren! Just a photo loving southern California gal currently calling the PNW home. I live for late nights and early mornings, always ready for the next adventure. I grew up wanting to be a National Geographic photographer and obsessed with documentaries, which led me to photographing everything around me.

Lauren's communication style was on point - she was very responsive, attentive to our needs and vision, and made herself readily available for any questions we had. More importantly, Lauren is simply a kind, thoughtful person who brought great energy and professionalism to our big day. She took incredible detail shots and was eager to get creative with unique photo ideas, which we loved. The final product was beautiful, high-quality wedding photos that perfectly captured the joy and love of our special day.
