Leah Flores Photography

5.0

Portland, OR
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,800

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my two dogs and three cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I'm 9 years old 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
We discovered Leah on Zola, and right from our first conversation, we knew she was the one. Her experience and artistic eye were exactly what we wanted to capture our dream wedding. Leah made the whole process stress-free with her clear communication and warm personality. On the big day, Leah walked into a whirlwind of activity, but she calmly focused and started capturing the magic. She helped me stay relaxed and assured me everything would be perfect – I'll never forget that. Leah's photos are simply breathtaking. She's a true artist who captured every detail just as I imagined. She made sure we had time for portraits, but also caught those spontaneous, joyful moments that made our day so special. We are beyond thrilled with the photos Leah delivered. The cherry on top was seeing how excited Leah was at the wedding – she even quickly edited a photo on the spot! It showed she was genuinely invested in our happiness. Can't wait to work with Leah again for our future big life-moments!

Venture Ever After

4.9

Portland, OR
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,200

My name is Nadia. I specialize in elopements + intimate weddings in the Pacific Northwest. I help people in love have the wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots. Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. In the great outdoors, you write the wedding rules. And I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between couples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately. We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits. Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.

Shooting with them literally feels like hanging with your best friends. They were an absolute joy from start to finish, but it was Sharayah’s attention to detail and artistic eye that impressed me above all else. It was inspiring to feel like we were all creating art together, and the photos don’t lie! Our engagement shoot went viral on Instagram, and we got hundreds of comments saying, “these are literally the best engagement photos I’ve ever seen.” I too, agree with that sentiment, but I have to give credit to Hereafter’s vision and execution because they NAILED it. As a team, they’re both extremely communicative and organized, professional yet relaxed in the way they interacted with us and our guests. No one has ever made me feel so comfortable in front of a camera. Additionally, their digital color grading is meticulously adjusted to match 35mm film with incredibly accuracy. They perfectly captured the magic of our special day. We booked them for the whole package - engagement shoot, wedding photos, and wedding video with super 8 film. Their understanding of my vision was remarkable…Hereafter managed to romanticize every single detail in a profound way. The photos are so special to us because each one feels like a standalone piece of art. They went above and beyond for us in every capacity, even going so far as to drive me to the venue on my wedding day when things ran late! We cannot recommend Hereafter Films highly enough. Book them immediately! I promise you, they are worth every single penny and more.

Kyle Carnes Photography

5.0

Portland, OR
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,100

Hi, I’m Kyle. I’m Northwest born, Portland based, and like to think that I have pines trees sprouting from my skin and sun-soaked glacial runoff coursing through my veins. Aside from photographing weddings, I enjoy strenuous hikes with a view as much as indie flicks, comic books, carving powdery slopes, rock climbing, and Trail Blazers games. I like to share these details because I strongly believe that connecting with the couples I collaborate with is integral to the creative process of photographing a wedding. A strong connection will result in the best images possible.

Awarded Best of Zola
Kyle captured our celebration of marriage with professionalism, compassion and attention to detail. The time he spent in preparing for our first look photos, that were done at a location other than where our wedding took place, was amazing. He scouted the location for us, contacted the park and took time to assure that all of our photos we wanted could be done seamlessly. Kyle was flexible and made our wedding day go smoothly. We felt like he was one of our guests and not just our photographer by the way he melded into our family and friends. When we got our photos we were so excited and thrilled by how they turned out. He captured all of the important moments and documented our day beautifully. We highly recommend Kyle!

Hello! I'm Robert. This is me. Let me tell you a bit about who I am and what I do. Love for photography, I am very passionate about working with my camera. If I am creating a little photo for myself that is never seen publicly or a project for a client, I put everything I have into making the photography I create as best I possibly can. Every click of the shudder is an opportunity for creating amazing photography. Every photo-shoot has options for photographs waiting to be found. Solving these puzzles with my camera and lighting is a lot of fun for me. I believe you can see that also. That's why you are here looking at my work now.

Awesome to work with and the clients had nothing but great things to say! As a DJ it was a pleasure working with Modern Art Photograph & hope to encounter/work with them again at future events!

alyson levy PHOTOGRAPHY

5.0

Portland, OR
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,995

Wedding photography that's all about you. alyson levy PHOTOGRAPHY specializes in creating gorgeous images that tell your unique love story. I rely on years of experience and an artist's eye to capture crucial moments without drawing focus, creating heirloom quality photographs that sparkle with humor and emotion.

We had been together already for ten years and welcomed our first child ten months prior to the wedding date. We just wanted a big celebration with our friends and family at the coast in a campground. Juggling the party preparations and our son made it nearly impossible to think about many of the flourishes other couples dream up for their days. But we had Alyson, who could draw upon her experience, creativity, confidence and skill to give us ideas before the event and to make great decisions for us on the day. I'm shocked at how many moments she captured when I was totally unaware of her presence. Looking at the images really lets us relive the day. She was prompt with the editing and easy to work with.

I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars! Jamie was absolutely AMAZING!!! Everything I could of asked for and more. Myself and my (now) Husband decided to elope from Birmingham AL to Oregon. We had never been to the state before so planning was a little nerve racking. After meeting with Jamie for a Zoom call, I immediately had stress taken off me. She was perfect at capturing exactly what I was looking for and finding the most beautiful spot to have our ceremony. I received my sneak peaks back while still being on my honeymoon and got to fall in love with her work! There are many reasons couples choose not to have a “traditional” wedding, and the beauty is that you can make it anything you want it to be – and that’s also why I care so deeply about making sure every couple I work with knows that their day is important, beautiful, and deserves to be captured so you can look back on every detail. Hi! My name is Anna– I am an elopement and wedding photographer helping adventurous couples say “I do” on their own terms from coast to coast.

Anna is so sweet, caring, and a great communicator. As a wedding planner, it was great to work with her and she captured the beauty of the venue so well. The portraits and couple photos are stunning. Would definitely recommend her!

Hi! I’m Jess. I approach wedding photography with a photo journalistic eye, seeking out the authentic experiences of your day rather than fabricated moments. I shoot mostly film, medium format and 35mm, as well as a little bit of digital, to create timeless imagery that ages gracefully. Jess was an absolute dream to work with - so kind and thoughtful, very clear communication, flexible, and helped us feel comfortable/relaxed at all times! She took our engagement tintype photos (gorgeous, striking, super cool) as well as our wedding photos, and I just keep looking through the album and smiling at how well the energy of the day and our love was captured! Would definitely recommend her and her work. Thanks, Jess!

We are a husband and wife team based in Portland, Or and travel worldwide (we love travel) to capture our couples stories, and capturing the best imagery we can!. We specialize in creative moment driven wedding & lifestyle photography. We are committed to telling our couples stories and supporting them in ways that allow them to be free of stress and to be in the moment.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jos and Tree came highly recommended to us and, having worked with them, we now know why! A lot of people take wedding photos. Among them are a handful of folks who are also reliable, professional, and pleasant to work with. And within that smaller group, is an even smaller group of photographers who have real artistic vision matched with technical skill. Jos & Tree are, without a doubt, near the top of that select group. The images they produced of our wedding run the gamut from traditional wedding photos to absolute masterpieces of lighting, composition, and technical execution. Here's an example: as the day was wrapping up, and a bit *after* Jos and Tree's deadline for leaving had passed, they quickly posed my wife and I in front of a tree in the park; Jos had a vision for an image he wanted to capture in the fading light... and the resulting image proved absolutely magnificent; it is my favorite photo of the day, and among the top photographs I have seen anyone create, anywhere. On top of the artistic talent and skill, Jos & Tree were an absolute pleasure to work with; responsive, pleasant, personable, and fun. They were always on time, and ready to work... and work they did!! The amount of effort and energy they put into capturing lots of beautiful and creative images cannot be overstated. And then, they edited them beautifully, and have been working with us to select images to print and put in a book. The quality of their artistic consultation has been phenomenal. My wife and I have seen a lot of wedding photos that people proudly post online on sites like reddit. I can confidently say that I've yet to see more interesting and beautiful wedding photos than the ones I've seen from Jos and Tree. It's a pleasure to give these two lovely people our highest recommendation.

Anchor and Pine Collective

My inspiration comes from my time spent in stunning landscapes from the sea to the forest. I love capturing moments outdoors through photography. I have over 10+ years of photography experience and love working with all couples. I am originally from Dallas, Texas, but based in Portland and Los Angeles. I went to film school at the University of Texas in Austin. Besides having a camera in hand, I enjoy camping, hiking, skiing, surfing, drinking kombucha, painting, singing, and traveling.

Awarded Best of Zola
As the Mother of the Bride, i cannot say enough about Helen, our wedding photographer. When my daughter and her husband researched photographers, they were drawn to Helen's photos and her editing skills. And the fact that she was competitively but reasonably priced was a plus. During the planning process she was very accessible, and answered emails with complete and clear information. She is a warm and friendly person, but at the same time very professional. She had several virtual meetings with the bride and groom, and took care of every detail so that by the big day, we knew what to expect. During the wedding and reception, Helen was there to get the best shots without ever being in anyone's way. She emailed some beautiful shots after a few days, and then it only took three weeks to get the entire portfolio sent back to us! The newlyweds are absolutely in love with their photos. These pictures captured feelings and emotions, as well as wonderful visions of a perfect day. The wedding was at TImberline/Mt. Hood, and since Helen is a master of nature photography, the end result was perfect. I cannot recommend Anchor and Pine Collective enough!

Terra Lange Photography

Portland, OR

  • Starts at $3,000

I live in Portland with my little family and I am thankful every day that I get to do something I love as a full time career. I got my BFA in photography from California College of the Arts in 2009, and started shooting weddings shorty after that. I believe there is so much magic in a photograph. It allows something to keep on existing, even after it’s gone. I strive to capture moments authentically but cleverly, using light, color and composition to make things compelling and beautiful. I try to be as candid as possible and use very minimal posing; taking a photojournalistic approach whenever I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
Terra is an incredible photographer and has a natural talent of capturing the purest moments. We are so grateful that she was able to photograph our wedding day safely during these crazy times. The photos came out more beautiful than we could have imagined. Not only is Terra talented, but also she is a joy to work with. I’m a wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I’ve documented hundreds of couples’ love stories over the past 11 years, traveling all over the United States and beyond, and it has been one of the biggest honors of my life. I received my degree in photojournalism in 2010 and chose to pursue documenting love instead of local and world news events, but my background in photojournalism greatly guides how I approach my duty as a wedding photographer. I always strive to capture the day how it happened: the love, the laughter and the tears. I want you to look back at your wedding images for decades to come with joy and pride.

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot recommend Maria enough! From the beginning with our engagement photos to the end with our wedding, Maria was nothing but fantastic. From the moment you meet her, you can tell she is incredibly passionate about her craft and truly cares about the people she photographs. She was so patient with us during our engagement shoot, and made such an effort to know all the tiny details of our wedding. An entire paragraph could be written on how talented she is, but her gorgeous images speak for themselves! She makes magic happen at weddings, catching all the details and in-between moments, and delivers such beautifully authentic photographs. It was a lovely experience working with her, and so reassuring to know that, through an already stressful time, we were in good hands. Thank you, Maria, for capturing all the love at our wedding! We will cherish these photographs for a lifetime.

I value experience and relationships over material things, and work mostly with couples who are planning smaller weddings or elopements. Timeless over trendy has always been my mantra with wedding photography. I’m Natalie, a Portland, Oregon wedding photographer. I've been photographing weddings and families for over ten years, and my focus is on human connection. The simplest moments, the ones that aren't orchestrated or directed, are the ones you'll want to remember forever.

I am so grateful to have had the pleasure to work with Natalie twice! The first time I met her she photographed my friend's wedding in Hood River and when I saw the wedding photos it truly felt like the representation of that day. filled with joy and love. After searching endlessly for a photographer i was recommended to Natalie twice and when we got to speak she asked such intentional questions about our love story, what photography means to us, and photos that mean so much to us. the conversation moved me and i knew i wanted a photographer that could capture the emotion and joy of that day.. and she was sure she did. She understood we didn't really want overly styled/editorial photos and wanted more time to spend with our loved ones. Our French-Mexican wedding was beautiful and I'm so grateful that Natalie captured such beautiful moments. She was a joy to work with and I hope we get to work with each other for other life events in the future.

Professional photographer, lover of natural light, traveler, adventurer, happy wife and a dreamer! I fell in love with photography when my dad gave me his old film camera from a dusty box he had uncovered in our garage one spring cleaning day, and I have enjoyed taking photos ever since. I have travelled the world with my backpack, camera and trusty Apple laptop from Europe to India and South East Asia learning and being enriched by all the wonderful different cultures.

We first met Kate after winning an adventure engagement photo shoot. I had followed her on Instagram for a while and was a big fan of her light and bright style. She and her husband Dom were so wonderful to work with, we couldn’t imagine having our wedding with any other photographers! My husband was worried about feeling comfortable in front of the camera, but Kate was always excited to see us and gave great tips about posing. She made us feel and look beautiful and comfortable the whole day. We couldn’t wipe the smiles off of our faces and were able to concentrate on our happiness rather than worrying about how our pictures would turn out. She captured every detail to perfection, so we can relive the little things we worked hard to plan or didn’t have time to focus on. Kate has a lot of resources for couples and is extremely responsive via email. She returned our sneak peeks even faster than normal, at the request of my mother-in-law, just so she could show her friends who were unable to come to the wedding. Additionally, our whole gallery was sent to us in just a few weeks! That’s faster than most people get their first pictures back! Kate and Dom really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and special. We heartily recommend Kate Holt Photography to other couples!

We are Eric and Amber, a husband and wife wedding photography team with a different story than most. Both of us actually had our own established wedding photography businesses, with years of experience behind us, before we ever met. We found each other at a wedding professionals networking meeting, fell in love, on Valentines Day, no less, and got married 2 years later. Along the way, we merged our 2 businesses into Sightglass Photography.

I had a vow renewal adventure weekend for our 10 year anniversary and wanted photos that were keepsakes. I hired Sightglass Photography who traveled to Crater Lake with us and documented the trip. They were the best at making my husband *who absolutely hates having his picture taken* feel comfortable, and honestly I think they are the best he's ever had done. I am on the heavier side and they suggested poses and angles to make me look my best and not feel uncomfortable. they were the best choice out of everything we did that weekend and I LOVE the gallery we received.
