CountyLine Vineyard & Venue is an off the beaten path wedding venue set in the countryside of central Virginia. Artistic wood features abound throughout the barn. Much of the wood, harvested right from the property, was meticulously shaped by hand to add a warm artistic feel to the spaces within. The Carolyn Baldwin Lake Pavilion is named after our dear loved one, Carolyn Varner Baldwin, who unexpectedly passed away in 2008 due to an allergic reaction. She was the matriarch of our family and a beautiful, one-in-a-billion type of person with a generous and loving spirit. She was a talented gardener, a devoted fisherwoman who could out-fish the best of 'em (we're talking "sun-up-til-sundown" kind of fishing), was creative and artsy, and never knew a stranger. We felt it only fitting to name this lovely place in her memory. We are a family-operated business. Joanna is the General Manager and works with each client to accommodate varying event needs. She handles a wide range of aspects of the business, from answering questions about what will make your event run smoothly to giving you layout suggestions. She has worked with over 200 wedding & event clients over the last 10 years and has learned quite a bit about weddings & event planning through her experiences.

The pavilion is open on three sides to bring the beautiful scenery indoors, but the sides and barn-style doors can be closed in the event of inclement weather. Inside the pavilion, lighting is provided by lanterns and chandeliers, and a large hand-crafted fireplace takes spotlight, with rocks from the farm incorporated into its design. The outdoor patio is attached to the pavilion, creating an extra space that can be used for a ceremony, reception area, or dance floor. A second pavilion was completed in 2018 to provide reception space that is separate from the ceremony site, but within close proximity. This pavilion is completely enclosed and offers a gas fireplace as well as lanterns and chandeliers for lighting. As wedding guests arrive, wedding parties can use the bridal suite to get ready.

Its sanctuary was constructed in 1882, making it the second oldest religious structure still standing in the Town of Amherst. Starting in 2012, a grassroots group took the initiative to save a historic structure in the heart of Amherst, VA, and to re-purpose it as a creative community center. Located in the middle of a vibrant village, the goal was to provide a gathering place for events. The class architecture and details of this circa 1880s historic building is sure to compliment any theme. The antique checkerboard flooring adds a touch of eclectic flair.
