The Celtic Balladeers perform all styles of Irish and Celtic music. In the above sound clip they are captured live (VERY live) on St. Patty’s day at Coogan’s on Broadway. The sound clip features our guitar and tenor banjo duo while the complete band includes several other instrumentalists such as guitar, Irish tenor banjo, accordion, fiddle, bass, drums, bodhran, whistle, pipes, flute, mandolin, keyboard, horns, vocalists and dancers. Besides the standard, and county specific Irish material they can also perform a whole catalog of American dance music.

String 18 is a perfect trio for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and dinners. Their repertoire includes Classic Rock, Contemporary Pop, Latin, Jazz, and Classical. As a native born French speaker she is expert in the repertoire of Chanson made famous by iconic artists like Edith Piaf and Charles Aznavour. She is also a fabulous classic jazz singer who renders the classics of the great American songbook with a signature French flair. She regularly sells out Birdland Theater leading her own group.

Hot 8 Brass Band is a 2022 Grammy-winning New Orleans based brass band, whose sound draws on the traditional jazz heritage of New Orleans, alongside more modern styles including elements of funk, hip hop, rap, and its local variation, “bounce.” Transcending genres and trends, Hot 8 have performed & collaborated with the likes of Jon Batiste, Blind Boys of Alabama, Basement Jaxx, Alice Russell and George Ezra, provided live support for Mos Def, Lauryn Hill & Mary J Blige. Erica Mancini is one of our top artists at Music Dept. She is a Chicago-land native, born to Argentine parents, who moved to New York City in 2009. Erica has performed as an accordionist, vocalist, and percussionist internationally and throughout the US. Her diverse repertoire includes Jazz, New Orleans Music, French, and German/Bavarian/Oktoberfest. Erica also loves to perform well loved pop songs which audiences would never expect to hear on Accordion. These songs range from 80’s pop anthems to Amy Winehouse covers.

Topu Lyo and Randy Bergida began performing together in 1999 when their friends and siblings started getting married. With each event came many personal requests for music and they discovered their knack for arranging any type of song and founded the cornerstone of New York Ceremony Music with their custom arrangements on cello and guitar. DJ Smartz is an up and coming DJ out of Charleston, SC - spinning in a variety of genres from breaks to hip hop and EDM. From trap to twerk, his turntablism makes a mark on the local music scene. Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, DJ Smartz began learning the art of DJing at 15 as a skating rink DJ. DJ Smartz was a b-boy during his time as a skating rink DJ and through battles with the crew Hypnotik Body Rock he was introduced to turntablism at the age of 17. Smartz bought his first set of turntables at the age of 19 and from there has become one of the most prominent open format DJ's in Charleston and the surrounding areas.

DJ B is a top notched female DJ in Charleston who prides herself on her eclectic taste in music and her ability to connect with her audience. From Swing, Motown, Jazz, Disco, 80s, 90s, Top 40s, Electronic Dance and Hip Hop, DJ B feeds off the crowd’s energy and knows how to get them to their feet. With experience through Charleston Food+Wine Festival, Charleston Fashion Week, corporate events, private events, private parties, and retail events, DJ B is well versed in creating the perfect vibe for any situation. I’ve been a touring drummer for the last decade with Pattern is Movement. I’ve had the pleasure to share the stage with artists like The Roots, St. Vincent, Dirty Projectors, Shabazz Palaces and tour all around the world. I’ve also been booking shows for years at Philly’s own Johnny Brenda’s. My life revolves around music and that is why I love to DJ.
