Astrograss

We have been performing as a band since 2003, when Jordan Shapiro formed the band with some close musician friends in Brooklyn, NY. Since then, the band has performed at hundreds and hundreds of concerts, weddings, festivals, parties, kids birthday parties, and various other kinds of family oriented events. We have an extensive songlist of over 300 songs, drawing from all styles of music, including traditional folk/bluegrass, as well as classic rock, pop, jazz and country. The band has also released 3 full length albums of original music, ranging from progressive bluegrass/newgrass instrumentals to goofy kids songs.

We have almost 20 years of experience as a band, and it shows with our level of professionalism. We have the proper sound equipment for any kind of event, and the song list to match. We have experience entertaining rooms of toddlers, bars/clubs full of millennials in NYC, and weddings. We provide a seamless band experience, in which we can manage all aspects of the music, including sound equipment, solo/small group performances, full band dance sets, and even DJ services. But for the most part, we just love connecting with a room full of music lovers who are looking for a band to keep them smiling and entertained for any amount of time.
