And let me tell you… having Jon perform at our wedding was one of the highlights of our whole day! From live music at the ceremony, to hours of live music during the reception – Jon kept everyone entertained. “My finance’ had seen Class act at another family wedding, but it was before my time. He talked very highly about how much fun they were, but I still needed to be convinced. So we talked to them and then interviewed them and then it was very easy to decide that they were the right people for us. One of the things they let us know right off the bat was that they were working for us and even though other family members might have some ideas they would give us the final say in all matters relative to our big day. So we started out with their wedding officiant and DJ for an outdoor wedding. We wanted short, sweet and simple while having some amount of levity and romance and they delivered. The ceremony we just right. We then progressed to our social hour and dinner. Class Act moved the sound system they used for the ceremony in the outdoor dining area while keeping the larger system set up inside with the bar and dance area. The announcements came over both systems so that everyone could be part of the experience. At the diner we did some kissing games where the guests needed to entertain us and we judged their performance with the kiss. Everyone was laughing the whole time. They released tables and escorted the guests to the indoor buffet table. I cannot remember all the fun things that went on during dinner, but my guests really embraced the experience. Once the dinner was all done Class Act had the guests make two lines and we walked between them from the outside dinner tables to the dance floor then they all flowed in to watch us. We felt so special and supported. It was also brilliant because it got all the people into the dance area and the dance took off like a flash. So we danced all night it was and amazing time. Too bad I only get to do this once. Maybe we will have to have an Anniversary party. Olivia and Sam”

“This as an excellent Jazz band. We had an outdoor wedding in August with a theme of a summer garden party. We wanted a live Jazz band to play 3 x 45 min sets and after finding Reception Jazz on line they seemed to be perfect. I had a couple of conversations with Scott in advance to discuss the details and became immediately aware that this band was going to be professional and easy to work with. We booked a 3 piece (Keys, Bass and Drums) and the week before the wedding we called and asked if they could also bring a Sax player (Which they did). Even that late change was no problem. We live streamed our wedding to several other countries as people couldn't travel with COVID-19 and some technical difficulties meant that the timing of the musical sets was disrupted. Scott and the guys were amazing and simply went with the flow. There is a lot to manage in a wedding but we didn't need to manage this band. They were perfect.”

“So, our day was falling apart horribly. Sept 7th, 2024. Way before the day started, some bridal party got sick, our coordinator got fired two days before our wedding, our venue didn't have much of what we ordered for decorations. Our last hope was the DJ service, but honestly, we didn't have high hopes. But then, the DJ arrived. He looked serious and got down to business. We told him how it's gonna be a mess and we understand if things didn't go right....it was just the way things were. We had each other right? NO. Our DJ refused to accept our self pitty. He was the calm, understanding, and reassuring part in this disaster of a storm. He said.....and I quote, "good thing I'm trained in coordination and I'm fully prepped. No worries, we got this". I, as the bride.....cried. we didn't have anyone that gave us this reassurance or confidence....till we met the DJ. He took charge, organized the most perfect ceremony, and then just did what it took to get everyone else organized from guests, to venue, to catering company. All we had to do, was have our wedding. We spoke with the guy the week of our wedding. He kept talking about "vision". Heck, I didn't even see what they saw. But the DJ, must have known somehow, because he got that vision and did everything we needed, and wanted. Dinner was beautiful, and things got done! I didn't think a DJ did all that. Then the dance. He announced everything, so all were informed and orchestrated everything and we let it all go and really had a lot of fun and enjoyed everything he played. I'm sure our DJ wanted to have more fun than all the work we out on him, and for that, I'm sorry......but you did one heck of a job!!!!! You turned what was a disaster, righted all the other vendors ships, and sailed yours too! You did the work of multiple companies with just 1 DJ. Unheard of! Most DJs I've seen at weddings just stay behind their music stuff and speakers and don't move. Our DJ broke a sweat. You know what, I hope other have a better wedding experience than we did, but I can tell you, this is a comoany that knows weddings, understands the needs of others, and is very well versed in what they do. And for all that, I'm grateful beyond belief and worth every penny and more. This is the ONLY 5 star review I've given for my wedding and they deserve 15. What a blessing!”

They dressed appropriately for our wedding theme and many of the guests at the Hawthorne Hotel wanted to take pictures with Karlea in her Twenties attire.
