Stereotypical wedding DJs spoil the fun. They play the same songs (boring). There are gaps between songs (awkward). And they talk on the mic too much (obnoxious). We’re the alternative. We beat match & blend music (non-stop dancing) We use the mic appropriately (vibe isn’t ruined) We personalize the playlist with your input (you’ll love the music) If you say things like, “We’re having a non-traditional wedding!,” or “We need to blend our multicultural families,” or “I’ll die if my domineering future mother-in-law demands that the DJ to play her QVC album collection,” ... then we're for you!

Our secret: We’re not “wedding DJs.” We’re nightclub DJs that happen to play at weddings. We’re a team of real-life DJs and culture makers from Omaha & Lincoln, Nebraska. Collectively we’ve won Omaha Entertainment Awards “Best DJ” category multiple times, produced festivals & operated nightclubs (like House of Loom) & been tested on dance floors from Belgium to Benson.

    We had the pleasure of working with Alternative Wedding DJs for our wedding, and they exceeded all of our expectations. From the very first interaction, Brent and his team were incredibly easy to communicate with - they were attentive to our needs, and provided clear guidance throughout the planning process. On the day of the wedding, they proved to be anything but your average DJs. They kept the party going all night long, seamlessly transitioning between our must-play songs and honoring all of our musical wishes. As someone who has known Brent for years, it was so special to have him there to help celebrate our big day. We cannot recommend Alternative Wedding DJs highly enough!

    Brent was the BEST when it comes to wedding DJs. We've known Brent and his work for YEARS, and his talent and insight into particular events continues to be peerless. He was so proactive well ahead of the event to elicit song, genre, and style preferences, and was very flexible working with the venue on set up. He had basically the entire wedding guest list of 250 people on the dance floor throughout the night - he could really read the room and know just when to take it down and when to ramp it up. We got SO much feedback from our guests the night of the wedding and in the months since about how awesome our DJ (and overall wedding!) was!!!

    I am so glad we came across Alternative Wedding DJ’s. Brent was amazing to work with! We told him the vibe we were looking for our reception and he got us with the most perfect DJ! Chalis was absolutely fantastic as our wedding DJ! From the moment the reception started, she had everyone on the dance floor with her perfect mix of music. She was professional, friendly, and really understood the vibe we wanted for our special day. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how much fun they had, and we owe a lot of that to Chalis. We got so many comments about how great our DJ was, the dance floor was packed the entire night! Highly recommend going through Alternative Wedding DJ’s for any of your DJ event needs and I highly recommend Chalis or aka DJ crabrangucci!!

    Brent was an amazing DJ for our wedding! We had a smaller crowd, but he did an incredible job of getting them out onto the dance floor. He paid special attention to the songs we really wanted and accommodated us on having a first duet instead of a first dance. He made the day SO special!
