Our wedding is still a couple of months away (9/23/23) but we have worked alongside Taylor for the past year. When I say that hiring Taylor as our wedding planner was the second best thing we did (other than finding each other of course!) I do not mean that lightly. She has been there for every step of the way and has given her professional opinion and insight for every decision we made. She communicated to each vendor on my behalf, including the vendors that weren’t so easy to get ahold of and the hard stuff like cancelling vendors (and a wedding dress that I was pushed into) that over time I changed my mind about. She has supported us and taken so much stress off my plate as well as kept us focused so nothing was forgotten. She provided task lists that helped us get through our seating chart, song list and photography shot list with ease. She also had great recommendations for other vendors, such as our dj, that we cannot wait to see in action. I always feel heard and seen, and like this wedding will truly come to life because she understands my vision and will go above and beyond to make it happen. She has fought for us every step of the way when needed, and always put our vision first. She exceeded every hope I had when looking for a wedding coordinator and has become one of our friends in the process! Our weekly zoom meetings, the venue tour, room block scouting, tasting appointment and design outings usually ran over because we would stand in the parking lot and talk for an extra hour because she truly cared about what was going on in my life and my mental health during this stressful time and vice versa. I’m almost sad that our wedding is nearly here because I won’t see her as often! I feel like I hired a wedding coordinator but instead got a best friend that truly gave her all to my decisions (and indecisions) towards my wedding day. I am so excited to see it all come together and am so grateful I found Taylor so I was able to really enjoy this process instead of being stressed about every little thing. We have enjoyed planning this wedding alongside her and are so excited our big day is almost here! If you are looking for a planner, she is your girl!

When I first reached out to the Embrace U team, I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the funds on a day of coordinator. After a couple of conversations with Erin, I was convinced the Embrace U team was worth every penny. The team did not disappoint, my husband and I will be forever grateful. Erin's attention to detail and years of experience shined. She ensured she completely understood our vision and what was most important to us. Four weeks prior to our wedding date, Erin took over vendor communication and was our point of contact. This was such a stress relief. Erin also created a wedding day timeline, which is one of the reasons why we had such a successful wedding. All the vendors and our bridal party knew our plan and timeline the week before our wedding. I did make minor changes last minute but Erin helped communicate those to the vendors. Michelle was very communicative through out the whole process of wedding planning. She was great with sharing ideas and helping me to find my style for my wedding. She was great with collaborating the wedding decor ideas with my vision and making it come to life. She is always putting in the time, energy and effort for all her clients. I admire the hard work and dediction she gives to her clients, because she is truly commited. She lives for her clients and puts them first. We could not have asked for a better team to coordinate our unique wedding ceremony that was a surprise to our guests. After connecting with PU via Thumbtack back in mid-2023, we spoke with Matthew who immediately understood the importance of our vision. Our wedding was held at the New Parkway Theater in Oakland, Ca. It started off as a friends and family screening of a short film (the Bride was the director, the Groom was a crew member). Then, during the post-film Q&A, we revealed to our guests that we were getting married right then and there in the theater. Not only did PU coordinate a film screening complete with red carpet, step & repeat photos, food, drink, DJ and more, but they helped transition into a full wedding ceremony. Meshawn ran point on everything: rehearsal, procession, recession, cake, etc. Stellar team members, Angel and Rakisha, executed everything flawlessly. Angel acted as the special events coordinator, making sure our tech was on point (sound, picture, graphics, everything!) and she even made a reel for us to post on our socials. PU was up for the challenge of our 2-in-1 surprise wedding/film screening, and they rose to that challenge with much aplomb. For what we asked for, they could've up-charged us greatly. PU made us feel heard and seen throughout the process. We wanted our wedding to be a collaboration between BIPOC businesses and creators celebrating what we can achieve when we work together. A three month old, but beyond warranted review for Karla and her amazing team. We found Karla through a personalized facebook inquiry for a wedding planner experienced with the Hispanic culture. Through the midst of about 50 responses, her detailed response outlining her resume stood out. And after falling in love with her during our meet and greet, we knew she was the one. I must preface this with the fact that both my wife and I are very particular, attentive to detail, and know exactly what we love/want. And Karla and team tackled this challenge without hesitation, and although I'm sure it wasn't, they made it seem effortless. From the beginning, Karla sent us everything we needed to begin planning our dream wedding. From spreadsheets, to informatory brochures, to vendors, Karla helped us create the perfect design and team to bring our vision to life. Karla was available every and any time we had a question, a concern, or a comment. She not once disagreed, but added constructive criticism when needed. Her patience and understanding were outstandingly impressive, and honestly, I don't know how she did it! Karla made sure all vendors knew our vision, and she advocated for our must haves when needed. The few weeks before our wedding, Karla and team stepped up to the plate with venue and vendor walkthroughs, easing our anxieties and worries, troubleshooting the minor discrepancies, and creating the perfect itinerary for our big day. She also made sure our bridal party was fully understanding of their role and responsibilities (thank you, Karla). Now the big day! Where do I begin? She had us assign two decision makers for the day of. But she did such a wonderful and impeccable job at cooridnating with vendors and the venue, that they had no responsibility the day of. The venue looked amazing for our entire wedding. It was exactly what we envisioned, what we discussed, and what we planned. The coordination was outstanding. Every single part of our itinerary was executed exactly how we planned, even our guests noticed and complimented us. All in all, our wedding we PERFECT. Every single thing about our day was perfect. Karla and her team did an amazing job at everything we hired them to do. It was worth every penny, and I would do it all over again (in another lifetime). The amount of gratitude that my wife and I have is indescribable. Karla, Ellie, and Noemi, thank you so much for everything you did, endured, and executed the day of.
