Vendors will send out contracts to Amaka, and she in return will send contracts to the vendors to sign on our behalf so it made us feel very comfortable with booking the recommended vendors. It keeps us safe from vendors that cancel last minute or show up late.”

Not only is the food amazing, the staff is generous, and the service was incredible, but as the bride I never had to lift a finger and ask where someone was. We had our meal and drinks set for us on the table ready to go. Michael, the owner, showed up to our event to make sure it was magical. During our tasting we even got to mismatch some of the plates in order to create a meal that aligned with what we liked. We worked with Jennifer and her team along the way and they were responsive and incredibly helpful (giving us ideas for how to set everything up, what couples have done in the past, etc.) We had our wedding in the Yew Garden and our cocktail hour in the Fragrance Garden before moving inside for the reception and it was all stunning and we were able to go to several spots in the gardens for our golden hour photos (Japanese Tea House, rose garden, I could go on and on!) I 100% recommend Brookside Gardens for any wedding and am so grateful that we were able to get married there!”

They also have yard games and other add ons you can include. Mary was great to work with and helped with any questions along the way. The only advice I would give is to reach out to them directly instead of through Zola for a faster response initially. Given the high price tag if venues in the DC area The Garden is a great option if your wedding is under 100 guests and you are looking to have a more casual reception.”

Day of our expectations were exceeded! Once her team arrived, Kayla and Ivy, we didn’t have to do a thing! The day of our plans changed a lot and they really kept us on time. We had to deal with a tropical storm that popped up two days before the wedding, which was wholly unfortunate. Our venue and everything was inside, however we wanted to take our first look and party photos outside. On the day of the coordinators helped us find an additional space to take photos in and took care of everything. It was so great to have Kayla and Ivy by our side because I didn’t have to worry about anything, I didn’t have to look at the schedule, I didn’t have to worry if that was set up correctly, or this was set up correctly or if vendors had arrived and we’re on time and tell them where to go etc. etc. It felt great to just spend my entire wedding day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful day it was.
