About Shots by Mag (Maggie Morris)
Maggie Morris
I have the coolest job in the world: I create emotional time capsules for my couples (and hopefully you too). That way, you get to be fully present on your wedding day and you get to relive that day over and over again with the same intensity, joy and love. My not-so-secret sauce is this: I get to know you. I find out what makes you and your lover tick, and then, I craft a visual story that's reflective of you. My utmost goal is to create joyful imagery for folks who want things documented exactly as they felt.
My MBTI is a tight toss-up between ESFP (The Entertainer) and ESFJ (The Consul) and I think that represents me to the core: I’m energetic and I care. Oh, and if it helps, I’m a Virgo sun and Leo moon so I’m organized AF, detail-oriented AF and a wee bit emotional. If you want someone who "gets" you, who's a little bit of a mind-reader, who feels like a friend you've known since childhood, then hi, hello, it's nice to meet you. I'm stoked that you're here. Maggie is the best!
There are only good things to say about working with Maggie! We booked her for our engagement photos as well as for our wedding day. During the engagement session, she captured some true gems by helping us stay comfortable and true to ourselves. Leading up to our wedding day she was communicative, made sure she understood what our vision/priorities were, and worked well with our planner. On our wedding day, she was so fun to work with, got some beautiful shots of the big moments, and some incredible shots of little ones, too. Even just in our sneak peaks from our wedding, there are so many lovely candids amidst well-placed staged family/couple shots. She has great vision and good ideas and is fun to be around for the process! Regardless, her work speaks for itself. We highly recommend booking Maggie for your engagement and wedding photos!!

Hiring Maggie was one of the best decisions we made while wedding planning. She captured our day perfectly, and we were thrilled with how the photos turned out. Maggie has such a fun and genuine energy that comes through in her work and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Working with Maggie was a breeze - she has a lot of knowledge and experience and gives great advice for the whole wedding day. She really listened to what we wanted and understood the vision for our day; nothing about working with her felt cookie-cutter or impersonal. Maggie has an incredible eye for capturing all the little moments that make up a wedding day, and we feel lucky to have those memories captured to look back on. We cannot recommend Maggie enough!
Surprised with a "Fake Wedding" Photoshoot!
I was fortunate enough to be surprised, on what would have been our wedding date (COVID...) this past September, 2020 by my fiancé & best friend. My surprise was an epic "however long you want/need" photoshoot with Maggie here in Washington DC. Maggie picked the perfect spot to go with my minimalist and greenery aesthetic preferences (without having ever met me btw..), all while making it super fun and relaxed. Maggie's communication was great, provided great recommendations on how to pose or engage with others in the shots and made us all feel beautiful! She had our photos to us within a few days, the editing was immaculate and I still use them to this day!
Shots By Mag
Maggie was photographing a wedding that I was DJ'ing. She went out of her way to introduce herself before the event started and was incredibly easy to coordinate with during the event. She was warm, professional and thorough. I would definitely work with her again in the future!
