My name is Giovanna (you can call me Gio!) and I'm a traveling wedding photographer based in North Carolina. I've photographed everywhere from the DMV, NYC, Colorado, Hawaii, Spain to tons of other locations. Having a background in photojournalism, I photograph with a documentary approach which allows an organic and authentic feel to shine through my images. If you value emotion, connection, and creative storytelling, then I'm your girl. I was born in the bustling city of NY and later moved to a horse farm in NC. I was constantly amazed by my ever changing environments and inspired to capture moments that would otherwise be lost in memory.

I’m ambitious, creative, and passionate about capturing the real, raw and intimate moments as they happen. I’m a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where I studied business and photojournalism. These two areas of emphasis have prepared me to offer my clients a professional and seamless experience with communication that always keeps you in the loop—and also a unique gallery of timeless photographs encompassing your real, whether that be your relationship or any other milestone.

Gio is INSANELY talented. I’ve worked with her for several life events, the biggest and most important investment being our wedding. Gio is professional and organized, a dream for any bride to work with. She has a gift for making you comfortable in front of the camera and provides expert guidance that makes shooting with her feel effortless. Her passion for her craft is palpable, and you know it’s good when she turns the camera around and says “YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS!” Every album I’ve received is a breathtakingly beautiful, cinematic keepsake of the most special moments. Her work is literal ART. I’ll never forget the emotional experience of receiving our wedding album - we literally laughed and cried for hours. Every detail and moment is so intentionally and artfully captured. It’s been two years and I still swoon over our wedding photos. I’ve had several (also obsessed) friends inquire about our wedding photography and even book their weddings with Gio. She is easily one of the best investments I made for my wedding day and I can’t say enough positive things. As a repeat client, I so look forward to working with her again in the future. Labeling Giovanni's work 'great' would be an understatement! Having her as our photographer for both our engagement photos and wedding was one of the best decisions we have made. Not only is she kind, relaxed and fun while working, but the results of her photos are incredible. We have looked at our wedding photos everyday for the last 3+ months since, and have felt nothing but joy. Our appreciation for Gio is unending as we know we will hold these photos close for the rest of our lives. She captured these memories perfectly. Oh! and the #1 compliment we have received from others about our wedding is how WONDERFUL the photos are. Gio crafted photos that were exactly what we wanted yes, but she somehow also made it everyone else's favorite too! We could not recommend a photographer more than Gio.
