When my husband and I started looking for our wedding venue, we had pretty high expectations. We are full-time wedding photographers and most of the venues we have been to are pretty cookie cutter and not at all what we wanted for our own wedding. You’ve got your barns, ballrooms, and industrial chic venues and then you’ve got something completely different like New Holland. New Holland has character, charm, and a one-off nature that was exactly what we were looking for. We knew that when we decided to have our wedding after being married already for ten years, it had to be at New Holland. Sophie and Reagan made the experience booking and hosting our wedding effortless. Our entire wedding celebration was unconventional, and because of that, it required a whole lot of coordination with activities and food for our guests that typical weddings don’t necessitate. Sophie and Reagan handled everything the day of the wedding perfectly. It was like one big choreographed dance. I know that without them, our wedding would have been a huge, disorganized embarrassment, and we are so grateful they helped make our day run smoothly so that we could enjoy it. If you’re the kind of bride who is looking for something bespoke and can’t find it at any of the venues you’ve visited so far, I know you’ll find it at New Holland.

We loved our experience at the Carmichael house! As anyone can imagine planning a wedding can be pretty stressful, the Staff was very helpful and put me at ease with the whole process. They communicated clearly, helped me with any hiccups we had along the way. The venue was very clean, there was plenty of parking. The staff was very nice and pleasant to work with. They really did make our special day extra special.

Glover Park Brewery’s 5,000 square feet of space gives couples the option to host their ceremony, and flip to a cocktail hour and reception under one roof. There are fun architectural elements such as charred historic brick walls, glass-sliding windows that overlook our brewhouse, and garage door windows along the front and Upper Tap Room that can open to let the outside in.

When planning our wedding, we were trying to choose a location that was convenient for us but also pretty centrally located, since we had guests coming from all over the Metro area to attend as well as out of town guests. Once we settled on Marietta, we knew we wanted to look into GPB as our location. From the beginning the staff were communicative and easy to work with. GPB uses TripleSeat for communications and Calend.ly to schedule site visits which we loved - all your emails are in one place and you don't have to spend time on the phone trying to schedule a visit, you can just pick from available times. The staff are both professional and helpful throughout the whole process. The venue itself has a lot to recommend it! We had an expected attendance of about 100 people and the room felt comfortably full without feeling crowded. The bar line never got too long (shoutout to the super super nice bartenders) and of course the interior is a beautiful canvas for your event. Highly recommend working with this gorgeous venue!!

The venue was absolutely gorgeous. My Wedding pictures are going to be amazing. The food was delicious. My wedding guest enjoyed their experience. I only wished my day of coordinator was more type A with her communication. My wedding party and I arrived on time, but my ceremony still started late. Starting late crested a shorter reception experience and less time with the photographer.

I can't say enough how beautiful this venue is. Lela's Place is a spacious, the landscaping is fabulous and always evolving, and the venue host, Lela, is a DELIGHT to work with. She is so sweet and thoughtful. We booked our wedding of about 85 people more than a year in advanced and she communicated regularly to ensure we got exactly what wanted on the day of. We also chose Lela to be our day of coordinator and she did a fabulous job, and that was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process. She coordinated with the vendors, set up the tables, and ensured the day went smoothly. We did not have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding and no issues arose. All my guests told me how sweet and helpful Lela was and how beautiful her venue was. Definitely check her out, she's wonderful!

We had our wedding on January 21, 2023. We were blessed to have our reception at The Venue at the Star Theater in Toccoa, GA. As a renovated historic theater, The Star offers classic vibes with romantic feels as you dance under the string lights. Areas offered are main floor for seating and dancing, stage area which we used for seating for the bridal party and the DJ, as well as the balcony area for seating. One of my favorite parts was the perfect get away / leaving reception area in the rear of the building. It is set up perfectly for guests to send off the happy couple and makes for absolutely beautiful moments captured by pictures or video. Lastly, I can’t say enough good things about the owner operators, Jim and Christy. They really go with you through the journey of finding the best way to set up all of the aspects for your special day - whether it a wedding, reception, or something special occasion. They not only let you know of what has worked well for other events at the venue but are open to trying new set ups and such (of course within reason - no hanging from the ceilings or anything like that!!) I would recommend 10/10.

We got married at Gardens in the Gorge last month, & it was a dream! The Green was gorgeous even in early Spring, and the views from Windsor Hall are amazing. Several people have told me it was one of the prettiest venues they’ve been to and I agree! The scenery made for beautiful photos. The staff was super helpful in preparing for our day and offered a ton of decor for us to use. I’m very happy we chose Gardens in the Gorge!

The Veranda Historic Inn

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this 1906 Greek Revival mansion was originally the Holberg Hotel. The 8,000 square foot Inn with nine guest bedrooms still has its original features: Georgia heart pine floors, ornate tin ceilings, elegant light fixtures and chandeliers, and eleven fireplaces. A beautiful garden, rocking chairs, and porch swings on the generous wrap-around veranda add to your journey back in time.

Where do I start ? First this review is long overdue! I couldn’t give a more glowing review for the Veranda’s staff and Lori Burnett, the coordinator/planner for our wedding. To say Lori is an excellent wedding coordinator/planner is really doing her an injustice. Lori was on point with every single aspect of our wedding. We were coming from out of state , which makes planning a wedding difficult to say the least. We had a few issues with our original caterer and had to switch it up virtually last minute and Lori was with us the entire time ensuring us everything would be perfect. She worked closely with all of our vendors to ensure the day was seamless! She had endless ideas that gave us the ability to have the look and feel that we were looking for on our special day. We went in hoping for the best but knowing , it’s virtually impossible to have everything go perfect on your wedding day. Thanks to Lori, the incredible staff and the vendors our day was absolutely perfect. Lori asked for a sort of report card of our day wondering what they could have done different or better and so on. Even this far out from that day I can not think of a single thing. Everything from our breakfast, made by the wonderful Ms Lavern to the last dance of the night ,was exactly how we wanted it down to the smallest details ! Lori really busted her butt the whole weekend and I’m sure in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding. The Veranda was decorated beautifully, Lori was in super early getting everything ready the day of, coordinating the staff and vendors like an elite maestro preforming a flawless rendition of Mozart! The owners, Margaret and Chris, have a beautiful story and unique professional background. Margaret has thought of absolutely everything to deliver a magical experience. There is so much charm on every foot of the property- if you're looking for a destination wedding that allows you to stay ON SITE, this is IT! Each place to stay (The Wren, The Kingfisher, The Peregrine) have the most thoughtful touches & elevated views. The design of each space is detailed, classy, & has tons of personality. Margaret allows her guests to "personalize" their wedding experience so that each wedding or event planned is truly one of a kind. My husband and I held our wedding reception here and we could not have been more pleased with our choice! The museum staff was kind, helpful, and worked with us on every detail to make sure the day was perfect! We even got to choose which cars stayed in the museum and which ones were moved out for the dance floor. The space itself is beautiful and so so unique, I can say I have never been to a wedding venue that comes close. We also loved of course that the space was a family owned business and that it was so close to downtown Chattanooga

We are SO lucky we found this venue for our wedding! It's been a long time planning - but Alexis was super communicative and responsive for every question in our 20 months of planning. She made all the decisions a breeze and was so detail oriented during our walk through to ensure our vision was received. Our guests were amazed by the venue's beauty and all night we received compliments and "HOW did you find this place?! it's BREATHTAKING"! We just responded with "we know ;)" I will also have to say - having the getting ready suites on site made the whole day even that much more of a breeze. We provided our own food & drink but the Bride's Suite Bathtub is something out of a luxury castle's home. AMAZING photo opportunities! The Groom's suite with pool table, TV, video games & darts was perfect for my partner and his group. Even though there was a wedding there the night before ours - Alexis had everything under control in terms of a rehearsal the morning of our wedding. We all arrived about an hour ahead of official venue access, ran through our rehearsal, and put cars in place to unload when we got to our access time. Her team was top notch - and had all our decor items set up perfectly. I also LOVED that we didn't have to tear down or clean up anything other than what we brought in. I can not put into words how much I recommend this venue for your perfect mountaintop wedding or event. It vastly exceeded our expectations and I hope they keep expanding their venture here in Whittier, NC!!

“We have curated a garden oasis so you can get lost in your moment.” Moser Manor Farms is nestled on six acres in the heart of Hixson Tennessee, although we are just a short 15 minute drive from downtown Chattanooga. Our microvenue includes the coveted Greenhouse for intimate ceremonies. We also have the outdoor Rose arch blanketed by a luscious landscape and beautiful trees. Our 62x60 signature black and white barn has concrete floors and chandelier lighting with a caterers kitchen and bathrooms. We have a bridal suite and grooms suite. A pavilion is also attached for outdoor entertaining. We have two ceremony sites on the farm. Our sought after greenhouse can accommodate 35 people. Our garden arbor can accommodate our maximum capacity of 50 people. With your rental, you have access to our decor closet. We also have a guest house that houses 4 that can be used for your wedding party.

TL;DR: Book this venue for your intimate wedding, you won't regret it! Full review: Working with Vanessa and her family was truly a joy and made my wedding planning so much easier. Whether it was access to her decor closet, finding other vendors through her Preferred Vendors page, or just by being prompt and professional to my (many) questions through email, I found myself so grateful through the wedding process for picking this venue. And this is all before considering how GORGEOUS this place is. The main ceremony and reception space are constantly getting upgraded, and the greenhouse is super nice for photos. You can really feel the work, love, and joy that they've built into the place. Plus, the goats are cute! We knew we wanted something intimate and celebratory but not too 'stuffy' and this venue was the perfect fit for us. I cannot recommend Moser Manor Farms and Vanessa highly enough.

I can't say enough good things about the Carlyle House! It was perfect for our 150-person May wedding. They were, without a doubt, my favorite vendor to work with. The year leading up to the wedding, Gerise answered every single email and question I had promptly. You'll find during the wedding planning process that that kind of prompt communication is incredibly rare. They're incredibly experienced, so if you have any sort of off-the-wall idea, they've done a wedding like that before and can send you a layout and ideas around that. Weddings are expensive, and while we still spent more than we hoped originally, it's so great they don't try to price gouge you every step of the way like some places. Day of, we were treated very luxuriously, there were plates made up for the groom and I from the buffet line and cocktail hour by their staff, and our families felt well taken care of as well. We were able to be pretty minimal on the decor, too, as the venue is so beautiful, and there are beautiful photo opportunities everywhere. A lot of chairs, tables, and linens are included which will also save you money. The weather was touch and go day of our wedding, and apparently they kept moving the ceremony back and forth outdoors to indoors back to outdoors unbeknownst to me as the rain kept stopping and starting, which was incredibly nice of them, and we were ultimately able to get married outdoors! The paved terrace is wonderful for outdoor ceremonies since it dries quickly. They also allowed us to come a little early for photos without charge, because the rain was going to ruin our plans for photos at the park. We LOVED the fried chicken, and the shrimp and grits martini station in particular, and the charcuterie and hummus spreads were gorgeous during cocktail hour. Our bartenders followed our instructions perfectly for our signature cocktails and garnished them beautifully. If your friends are degenerates like mine, be sure to ask the bartenders not to allow shots--unlike a lot of other event venues, they'll allow it and it probably put a few of our guests over the edge by the end of the night! The stories were hilarious though so many thanks to the Carlyle House for helping us throw the beautiful ceremony and the raging reception I dreamed of!
