The house fell into disrepair and in 1994, came into our guardianship. We have been working ever since to return it to its former glory. Back in 2021, we came to view Lord Thompson Manor as our first wedding venue. Afterwards, we only went to one other venue, and decided that there were no more that we wanted to go see. Lord Thompson Manor was the one for us. We loved the uniqueness of Lord Thompson Manor, because we are not ballroom people! We are thrilled with our decision and wish we could relive the weekend over and over. Everything was absolutely perfect. Everyone within the Lord Thompson Manor staff was so accommodating and beyond caring and kind. The staff truly made us feel like we were family. It was so hard to leave on that Sunday! The attention to detail was immaculate and hasn't gone unnoticed. Many friends and family members have taken the time to reach out to us and our parents letting us know how Lord Thompson Manor was the most beautiful venue and how it was the best wedding they have ever been to. On the big day itself, Jenn went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The venue itself is simply stunning - an elegant, antique home that has indescribable charm. The grounds are immaculately kept, the porch is perfect for a first look, and the tent is fantastic. We received so many compliments from our guests on our venue choice. We loved having our wedding at the Ballroom at Providence G! The space was very upscale and elegant. It looked fantastic in photos, and it felt great in person too. We also really enjoyed working with the staff at the venue. We worked hand-in-hand with several different people, and each person was organized, kind, and detail-oriented. And even though we talked with multiple people throughout the planning process, everything was very cohesive and all of our requests were honored (with no exceptions whatsoever). We also enjoyed having our cocktail hour on the Rooftop at the Providence G. The vibes up there were immaculate, and we also loved the appetizers and drinks. Additionally, we received several compliments from our guests on the location. Everyone took advantage of how the venue is in the heart of downtown Providence to spend some time enjoying the city. We loved our wedding here!

The Cambridge Boat Club was the perfect choice for our New England fall-themed wedding! It is an absolutely gorgeous location on the river with just the right amount of historic charm. We had originally considered going with all-inclusive venues, but ultimately opted for the flexibility we had with the CBC to craft our own vision. The venue features two distinct rooms, a larger room called the Drinkwater room, which can be used for the wedding dinner, the Club Room, which was used for cocktail hour and the dance floor, and a porch, which has a stunning view. The layout perfectly accommodated both the party enthusiasts and our more introverted guests, who preferred quieter spaces for rest and socialization away from the dance floor. Opting for this venue requires a more DIY approach compared to all-inclusive options. Since it is a historic building, there are some restrictions to be aware of, e.g. no sparklers or ceiling drapery, and existing wall decor generally need to stay on the wall. This was no issue for us since we had a clear vision for the wedding theme and decor, and enlisted the help of Tastings Catering (highly recommend, since they have previous experience working in this space and also handle some of the decor) and Designlight. Major shoutout to Katie Donnelly, the club manager at Cambridge Boat Club, who always responded in record time to all our inquiries and provided helpful guidance. With everyone's help, we were able to create the wedding of our dreams!

We held our wedding reception at the Multicultural Arts Center in Cambridge, and it was a beautiful venue to host our event. The space was a perfect size for our event with 125 guests, and the ceiling is a showstopper. The building is right on the small city park, Centanni Park, which is such a nice little green space in East Cambridge. The staff was friendly and easy to work with and helped us to create our dream reception. One thing to keep in mind when picking this venue is that you have to select from a list of preferred vendors for catering, and they will need to rent all of the plates, cutlery, glassware, catering supplies etc since the venue does not provide these items. Their list of caterers to choose from is a great list, but the extra cost of these rentals should be remembered when budgeting your event.

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding! We wanted a venue with history, beautiful views, affordable, and only had one wedding a day -- and we got it! One brought in mint from her garden, as mojitos were my favorite drink! We loved Oakholm for our simple all-outdoor summer wedding. My husband and I were married at Salem’s this weekend and I wouldn’t change a thing about the day or the entire planning process! Honestly, I didn’t know anything about planning a wedding but Donna and Martha took care of everything I needed and even the things I didn’t know I needed. Through out planning communication was clear and timely. Donna answered all my questions and accommodated any changes (even last minute) without batting an eye. Salems has great relationships with local venders and their ability to collaborate made it all the more seamless. On the day of my family and I chose to get ready at Salem’s; we had a comfy suite and they served us a delicious sit down lunch with salads and mimosas in a private dining space. When a couple of little girls showed up as a surprise the kitchen staff even made them their own macaroni and cheese plates! The ceremony space and overall landscaping was perfect with flowers and fresh cut grass. Our guests loved taking photos on the beautiful grounds and our professional photos look like they are straight out of a fairy tale. At the reception everyone raved about the delicious prime rib dinner and strawberry short cake. The serving staff and bartenders were fun, personable, professional, attentive and really seemed invested in making my family’s day perfect. The Harding Allen Estate provided the perfect venue for our wedding day. As a small business, their communication was consistently prompt, genuine, and enthusiastic throughout the planning process. We toured the property three times before booking our date, but the 1920s architecture and beautiful gardens captured our hearts on the first visit. I had the pleasure of working with Hope Lodge Venue recently as a wedding photographer and I can say they are a fantastic choice . Their communication style is incredibly responsive, helpful, and enthusiastic - they go above and beyond to ensure every detail is taken care of. Great quality of work for a the value ; the venue is open, clean, bright, and airy, creating the perfect atmosphere for a wedding or big event . One memorable example was when the staff dressed up along with the Gatsby-themed wedding, truly immersing themselves in the couple's vision. My only suggestion would be for them to potentially expand their parking area in the future, but overall, Hope Lodge Venue is an excellent option for couples seeking a beautiful, well-managed wedding venue and one they could decorate and make their own.

We had our wedding on 6/22/2024 at Angel & Anchor Farm with 125 guests. It was absolutely the best day ever thanks to the venue owners, Bill and Nicole. The venue is absolutely stunning. There are so many spots on the farm for your ceremony, for photos, etc. The farm was in full bloom in June as well. The bridal and groomsmen suite were also stunning, and offered a beautiful and cozy space for everyone to get ready in the morning. Bill and Nicole are also incredible. They truly did everything possible to make our wedding day so special. We didn't have to worry about a single thing, they were on it. From making adjusting for weather, setting up our beautiful reception tent, to attending the fire and more, they made our day absolutely flawless. If anything went wrong, my husband and I didn't know about it because Bill and Nicole just took care of it. We absolutely loved our wedding day and our guests kept saying the same. The farm is sprawling and offers so much space for guests to walk around and mingle. Everyone truly had an amazing time. Couldn't recommend the venue enough.

We had a wonderful wedding at the Nahant Country Club. Yasmene and Heather were great to work with and our wedding ran incredibly smoothly. The venue itself is beautiful and unique, our guests had a great time. The prices are incredibly reasonable and we additionally received an off season discount. Their wedding packages include so much beyond the standard wedding packages including the use of the bridal suite, appetizers/champagne in the bridal suite on the wedding day, use of their (beautiful) centerpieces, a separate happy hour for the wedding party during photographs and much more. Yasmene went above and beyond on our wedding day- she even sewed my nephew's superhero mask when it broke. Many of our guests commented on how she was the best wedding coordinator they had ever seen. Overall, we are incredibly happy with our selection of the Nahant Country Club. It is a beautiful venue run by incredibly efficient and kind women!

I was a floral designer providing centerpieces for a baby shower held there last fall (2023), in the Phillips Room. My experience as a vendor there was great. The venue was immaculate and modern inside, with the classic New England charm and vibe. The staff could not have been more helpful. They helped me with load-in, and the setup people were friendly and efficient. The coordinator Linda was also friendly, professional and on top of all the many details for the event (food, drinks, balloons, florals, favors, etc.). The room was light and airy, with lots of windows and light. The neutral background would work for almost any color palette. It is a beautiful venue in a classic New England setting, and I highly recommend it!

Immediately following our tour, my partner and I cancelled all tours/meetings with other venues - we knew that if we were going to have a wedding, it had to be at Olio. Sarah and the Olio team ALWAYS met us with genuine enthusiasm and kindness. All communications with Olio were authentic, seamless, and enjoyable. Since our family lives all over the country, Sarah and the team went out of their way to accommodate and ensure each of our family members could tour Olio when they were in town. Choosing a venue is arguably the most important aspect of celebrating a wedding, and the Stevens Estate is absolutely spectacular. I wouldn't do a single thing differently when it comes to choosing a venue. From our very first tour of the Estate, we knew they were setting the bar both aesthetically and in terms of planning, and no other venue surpassed it! Amy and Helen were extremely helpful during the planning process, providing excellent forms and schedules that guided us through. Because Fireside Catering owns and caters at the venue, everything could be discussed and planned all at once, which was great for us as we were coordinating our wedding out of state. On the day of, Amy, Casey and other staff members were beyond kind and helpful. Everyone was extremely attentive to our needs and it really felt like a luxury experience. Everything was run smoothly and professionally. The fact that they take care of setup and cleanup meant that my husband and I could be excited about celebrating our marriage without thinking about logistics. There are all kinds of backdrops for photos - beautiful forest surrounding the building, gorgeous interiors of the Estate. The food was excellent! All our guests said they had a great time, and the dance floor was packed all night! We seriously could not have asked for a more magical day, and it is all thanks to Amy, Helen, and the team at the Stevens Estate. We are so grateful for all their hard work!

Long Hill was a dream, it felt like a private fairy garden. Gorgeous location and the perfect size for us to take photos privately and guests to explore but not feel too far away (for wrangling from cocktail hour to dinner for example). The Long Hill staff were super communicative and responsive, sometimes a little stressful to work with as it felt like there were a number of restrictions but this really translated to a very stream-lined and well-organized wedding day as they brought up any potential issues early and then on the actual day they were super, super supportive and great to work with. They do have a list of 5 set caterers you need to work with, we were given an exception because of a dietary restriction my in-laws have (need to pay a 1000 fee), but this was tricky as Long Hill expects caterers to take on much more than just food. You'll also want to rent a dance floor (700 in the area) as the under tent area is brick. We had 115 of us total with buffet & dance floor, it was cozy & lovely but any more than 120 would feel tight to me. We were able to have a ceremony for an extra 1000 and then the reception was 5,200 for 5-10 on a Friday. In addition to the gorgeous gardens and beautiful cocktail area off the porch, we could take photos inside which was really lovely and a great break from the heat (our wedding day was 85 and VERY humid). Felt very professionally run and they worked well with my dear friend who was our day-of-coordinator and we just feel extremely grateful to have such a gorgeous location!

Little Gold is an intimate and fully curated space. We are an ideal location for couples who want to enjoy a small celebration with all of the charm and comforts of being in a beautiful home. We have a salon, dining area and lounge with a bar front and offer glassware, flatware and a range of dishes, serving utensils and vases for our clients to use. While we do not have a full kitchen, we offer a prep space to prepare, store and serve food. Our space is ideal for catered bites and cocktail foods. We are also a unique and special option for wedding parties to prep for the big day. We are steps away from the heart of downtown Newport and located close to many bars, restaurants and hotels.

I can't recommend Little Gold enough! Des and Sierra are absolutely wonderful to work with and the venue they have curated is perfect. The interior design is so effortlessly elegant, while also maintaining versatility for any special occasion. I have worked with Little Gold on many occasions and each time, I am impressed with how professional, yet personal their communication style is. Also, I haven't even mentioned the location! It is extremely walkable and perfect for a true Newport event. I could honestly go on and on - but overall, Little Gold is truly a hidden gem you won't want to miss for where you should host your next intimate event!

Ochre Court holds a rich history, having been built between 1890 and 1895 as the summer residence of Ogden Goelet. It's truly a magnificent location, nestled within the heart of the picturesque Salve Regina University campus, boasting breathtaking views of the Newport Cliff Walk. All ceremonies must take place in our Chapel or off site and you must pick from one of our preferred caterers. My wife and I had our wedding at Ochre Court over the summer. 3 months later, our guests are still calling and texting us to say it was the best wedding they have ever attended and that Ochre Court was stunning. Laura, Johanna, & Adelina helped it to make such a special day for us. From the tables to the food to all of the help with planning, it was such an amazing place for us to celebrate our marriage and enjoy the day with friends and family. It is the perfect wedding venue on the Cliff Walk with the classic Newport setting!

The Bradley Estate

Once a colonial farmstead known as Cherry Hill Farm, the Bradley Estate was transformed in 1902 into a classic country estate. Dr. Arthur Tracey Cabot hired noted Architect Charles Platt to design a great house, landscaped grounds, and a complex of farm and estate buildings. Platt adorned the lovely natural setting with manicured lawns, a walled garden, and a brick-edged parterre garden. In 1945, Cabot's niece Eleanor Cabot Bradley acquired Cherry Hill Farm and lived there with her husband until its bequest to The Trustees of Reservations in 1991. Mrs. Bradley made some notable additions to the property, including a greenhouse and a studio. Today, the Bradley Estate is open to the public and the house and grounds host special occasions for both private and corporate clients.
