Walt's Hitching Post is a popular restaurant and private venue space in Ft. Wright, KY, minutes from downtown Cincinnati and CVG Airport. The building, was used as a hunting lodge for Western & Southern executives in the early 1900s before being restored in 1942 by Walt Ballanger, who made his mark in the community by serving delicious smokehouse ribs. In 1958, Bill Melton purchased and successfully ran the business for 50 years. Today, Walt’s, under new ownership since 2012, continues to welcome people with a unique equestrian theme by preserving Walt's rich history and traditions. There are many photos of the late Melton's prized thoroughbreds. Walt's also showcases original exposed log walls and a cozy stone fireplace in the main dining room. Pretty Prairie Farm is truly a one of a kind unique venue, all original woodwork, cleaned and restored to its original charm, the perfect place for your perfect day. The barn was build in 1840 and the Victorian house in 1896, both have been restored to capture all the original charm and yet incorporate handicapped bathrooms, prep rooms, and bar. The farm is located 1/2 mile off the road down a paved lane lined with 118-year-old hedges. We only rent the property once per weekend so you have access the day before and after your wedding day, allowing you to fully enjoy your wedding day celebrating

The Elisha Morgan Mansion is a Flemish Bond brick farm mansion, built in 1817, and stands as a treasured historic landmark in the City of Fairfield. It has been determined that the house, as it presently stands, was constructed in three stages. The original Federal-style front portion, facing Ross Road, was built for Elisha Morgan in 1817. The second Greek Revival-style extension was added in 1858 by David Hueston. There is also a one-story third addition with a shed roof.
