About this venue

The Bushnell Event Center is one of the leading venues for hosting weddings, ceremonies, corporate events, holiday parties, showers, and other events in Downtown Springfield, Ohio. Built in 1893, the remarkable venue has led the way in hosting the most elegant events. The Bushnell Building was built in three stages in 1893, 1903, and in1939. The building continues to be renovated internally to meet tenant needs. The Bushnell Building remains of the most impressive original structures to flank the city’s central square. It is a monument not only to the days of booming business in Springfield but also to the civic involvement of one of Ohio’s great leaders.

The Edward Wren Room

In 1939, Edward Wren moved his retail store into the Bushnell Building. Known by locals as “Wren’s, it became Springfield’s largest and most successful upscale store and the shopping mecca of downtown Springfield for decades. Now you can hold your wedding reception in this beautiful space where you and your guests will enjoy the magic of this historical place.

The Rose Ceremony Center

Featuring The Rose. The artwork was done by Project Jericho in Springfield, Ohio. Beautifully hand-painted by a group of teens that are up-and-coming artists in the Springfield community.
