About this venue

We are Carli & Hamilton Dixon, artists and business owners in downtown Dayton for nearly a decade, and residents of downtown for over two decades. The Brightside is located in the 905 E. Third Street building, which was 18,000 sq. ft. filled with abandoned clothes and trash when we purchased it. But over the last 10 years, we have worked to clean it out, restore all of its services, and renovate it to become Dayton's newest music & event venue. It has been a long and difficult road, so we are thrilled to be at this point in the story. We invite you to stop in and introduce yourself soon; we truly look forward to welcoming you!

Vodvil Ballroom

The Vodvil Ballroom is available for 3 &6 hour rental increments on weekdays, 10 & 12 hour increments on weekends. Included in the ballroom rental is the Loft Suite + Brightside Bar, however you may rent these out separately if needed. Additional hours can be purchased.

BAR: Exclusive use of venue, access to free parking lot, stage and lighting, use of catering room, all bar tables and chairs. SUITE: Space includes outdoor deck, small stage, 2 bathrooms, shower, laundry and kitchenette. BALLROOM: use of both catering rooms, all ballroom chairs and tables + Loft Suite & Bar

    The Brightside Music & Event Venue was the perfect backdrop for our wedding day.
