Our Stone Patio features a permanent 40’ x 50’ reception tent and a 75’ long retaining wall/bench. For your reception, our Rustic Lodge including two stone fireplaces, barn door along with bistro lighting is able to accommodate up to 180 people for dinner and dancing. New to the property, is our outdoor Pavilion, located next to the pond that can accommodate up to 200 people. Add on some firepits and lawn games for a fun and relaxing event. The West Mountain Inn was originally built as a farmhouse in 1809. From 1880 to 1920, first a gristmill and then a lumber mill were operated on the Battenkill River at the foot of the mountain. In 1904 Ned and Gwendolyn Rochester purchased the 150 acre farm and began to transform it into an elegant summer estate. After a succession of other residents the estate later became an arts and retreat center.
