When I first started shooting lots of weddings, I would wake up the next day after a shoot and my wife would ask me how went. “It was insanely cool, and everybody there seemed like SUCH GOOD FOLK,” was a phrase I would almost always use to describe a somewhat ineffable feeling of being surrounded by GOODNESS. Goodness is often found at weddings, and it’s that goodness that we try to find with our cameras, microphones, lights, eyeballs and ears. That's how I came up with the name of my business. Meeting amazing people in beautiful places is what fuels my passion for wedding videography!

I first got into video work as a teenager, shooting skating videos with my friends. I was lucky enough to have a part-time job, and I’d saved up enough money to buy a Canon GL2 – a much sought-after camcorder. I would film my friends and I skating. We ended up purchasing a computer in order to learn video editing, and put together a full skate video after years of stacking footage. I sold that first video to a skate shop in Bakersfield.

My passion for photography and videography all started in a darkroom I built in a closet under the stairs as a high school student. I loved the idea of composing an image within the frame and then watching the photograph materialize like magic before my eyes in the wash of chemicals. At the forefront of it all, it is directed by the charm and character that makes my couple’s wedding day dynamic and unique. My workflow is minimal. I prefer not to influence a wedding day by manufacturing moments and over-directing people. It is a discreet and fiercely grounded approach which leads to what I believe is a creatively genuine interpretation of the day and a testament to my couple. All of my commissions will include: a 1-2 minute film trailer a 7-10 minute feature film and uncut versions of the ceremony and toasts.
