The Ruins at Sassafras Museum is the home of the former Shaker Second Family settlement, one of five Shaker settlements in The Mount Lebanon Shaker Village in New Lebanon, New York. The Pruyn House is the Cultural and Historical Center for the Town of Colonie. We have a five and 1/2 acre property, including the House, the Buhrmaster Barn, the Verdoy Schoolhouse and several other buildings. We provide access to the Barn for the reception, the garden for the ceremony, the birch grove for the cocktail hour and dressing areas in the Pruyn House and the Verdoy Schoolhouse. Tables and chairs are included. All else must be provided through rental services and catering. We have one security person who will be on site throughout your event. All else provided by caterer or rental service.

The Barn: This high-end event venue is the pride and joy of Windham Manor. Constructed from the ground up in 2019 to hold 300+ guests, it is a space to create life-long memories inside its posts and beams. The Lawn: The Lawn overlooks the mountains and a beautiful pond with a fountain, treating guests to fresh alpine air and idyllic scenery. The Enchanted Forest: The Enchanted Forest is, in a word, magical. A short path into the woods brings one to wooden benches ready to seat guests, a babbling brook, and pines as far as the eye can see- keeping the temperature for those gathered comfortable all year round.
