From the moment we first toured the Skyroom we fell in love. Red Wing is a cute, historic town with a lot to offer for out of town guests. The golf course itself is lovely and the venue is breathtaking. Carlee and the other staff were attentive, kind, and truly cared about making our special day perfect. We were blessed with a gorgeous sunset and our guests couldn't stop raving about the location we picked for our wedding. If you want a memorable, amazing day - book the Skyroom!!! PS Definitely book the Walsh House if it's available. It was so nice to stay close to the venue and have the beautiful space for us to get ready in.

After touring over 10 venues in Rochester, Stillwater and the Twin Cities, we discovered that many of the representatives seemed disconnected to the venue and we were often meeting with people that were not the events coordinator. In general there was a lack of enthusiasm for the business we were prepared to give them with hosting 200 plus guests, providing a seated dinner, full bar and hiring live music. Then, we met with Amanda and Souliman to tour the Kahler Grand Hotel. From the first communication we could sense something was different and were looking forward to our meeting. From the first handshake there was a positive energy and they helped us to feel as if we were their only customer. They both gave us a tour of the various rooms available to have a ceremony and reception. They were thorough in providing details and we were not left guessing about costs. They were able to answer all of our questions without deferring to other entities. Amanda and Souliman had knowledge, autonomy and authority to make decisions without needing to cut through several levels of bureaucracy. Their policies were designed to benefit the customer and we did not feel anything was being hidden from us at any point during the planning process. We feel they put our needs first and were some of the most professional individuals we encountered throughout the venue search. We were planning a wedding with a separate ceremony and reception space, but did not want our guests to have to drive to and from several locations. With the variety of different event spaces, the Kahler Grand Hotel met those requirements as well as being connected to the hotel rooms. In addition, they are connected to the Marriot. The hotel room tour showed that their renovations are almost complete and would have been by the time of our wedding. The rooms are modern, well-appointed and we felt the accommodations would be impressive and comfortable for guests. Our food tasting exceeded our expectations as there were many food choices and quality taste. They were able to accommodate a time when our parents would be visiting form out of state. Their bar policies were fair, reasonable and they happily entertained our unusual request to procure a barrel of local whiskey. All of these things were top notch, what we were looking for and surprisingly under our budget. However, we cannot emphasize enough how Amanda and Soulaiman were the reason we chose to book our wedding at the Kahler Grand Hotel. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our wedding due to COVID-19 and it was hard to make this decision because of having such a positive experience. They were gracious, understanding and made the termination of our contract easy. We recommend the Kahler Grand Hotel as top choice for weddings! Thank you, Jessica and Chris

Have your ceremony indoors or in their quaint back yard / patio area. Beautiful setup for the reception with the head table for the wedding party on a raised stage area. The hardwood ballroom floor is perfect for dancing. Clean bathrooms and catering area. Full bar service and private security available. In house sound system that comes with their resident DJ at a great price! You won't be disappointed!!!

From the moment we first reached out, their team was quick to respond, incredibly helpful, and always available to answer any questions we had. They were friendly and professional throughout the entire planning process. On the day of, the venue was beautifully decorated and the garden space was stunning - exactly what we had envisioned for our romantic, outdoor ceremony. The getting ready suite was spacious and comfortable for our bridal party. The staff was organized and ensured every detail, big or small, was exactly as we had asked. We could not have asked for a more perfect setting to celebrate our special day. Forestville Winery and Event Center encompasses 17 acres of beauty and serenity. 2025 marks our seventh season hosting events and memories to guests from all over the world. Our Event building has undergone major renovation. The climate controlled space features spacious room for 150 guests in a “country elegant” décor. The building features a Bride’s suite with full bathroom and private patio. Also inside is a wine and beer service area, a catering kitchen, a food serving area, a stage for Musicians and spacious restrooms, Most Ceremonies are held outside near the Vineyard, weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the Ceremonies can be held under our Event tent. The Forestville property is also home to a completely renovated one room School constructed in 1897 and used as a school until 1964. The School building houses our wine and beer tasting room and also the Groom’s Suite for weddings.

On one occasion we had two employees call in sick and the Forestville team jumped right in and helped us with service. We highly recommend them for any type of Event.

Words cannot describe what an amazing experience it was to get married at Mendakota Country Club! Adena and the entire Mendakota staff made everything run seamlessly, and I received so many compliments after our wedding about how kind and helpful all of the staff members were. Adena was amazing throughout the planning process. As a bride without a wedding planner and planning from out of state, I had endless questions that Adena answered quickly and graciously. The country club was absolutely gorgeous, and it was so nice to get ready, have the ceremony, and host the reception all in one place. Many venues require additional planning from outside catering, so hiring Mendakota for all food and alcohol made the process so much less stressful. Adena helped us set up sunset photos after dinner, and those are some of my favorite photos that we took out on the golf course. I am so grateful for Mendakota's hospitality to help make our wedding day so beautiful and memorable and would recommend the venue to anyone planning a wedding!

We had our September wedding aboard the Magnolia Blossom. Captain Dan and his crew were absolutely amazing to work with and went above and beyond. Tamara even helped me bustle my dress when we couldn't figure out how to do it. There are lots of areas for photos, on the river, the dock, in the marina, and at the park, just a short walk from the Marina. We had a lot of compliments from our guests on how unique our wedding was, oh, and the food was amazing as well! I would 100% recommend Magnolia Blossom Cruises to any couple looking for a riverboat cruise wedding!

We recently had our ceremony and reception at the Summit Manor House. It was a marvelous event. During our first meeting with David McLaughlin, the coordinator, he said his goal was to have us feel like guests at our own wedding. I will say he achieved that goal. The planning for the ceremony and reception were very easy, as David responded quickly to each email and call. He is very organized and had all the answers. I love the low-stress planning as Summit manor takes care of all linen, tables and seasonal flowers. He also was very flexible with some unique requests I had for our reception. I was initially worried about not being able to taste the food before the reception. David assured me the food was good. I have to say the food was outstanding. All of our guests were impressed with the food and many people went back for seconds. The Buttercream cake was great. David was there the day of the ceremony and reception and coordinated everything well. I highly recommend The Summit Manor for special events. It is a classic location for an elegant event.

Victoria and 413 on Wacouta are absolutely AMAZING! My husband and I could not be more thrilled with choosing this venue for our special day. First of all, the ceremony and reception happened in the same place so we didn't have to worry about transferring anywhere - huge plus! Secondly, we are huge fans of St. Paul and being able to have roof access to take photos with the St. Paul skyline was so perfect. Everything went smoothly and Victoria was a huge help on our day making sure everyone was where they needed to be. She was a great go-to person. The venue is absolutely beautiful - very good St. Paul vibes! We will always recommend this venue and Victoria to anyone!
