Looking for a stress-free wedding day?! We have THREE beautiful event spaces available to consider: -A bank of windows offering natural light and a unique round shape makes the Lake of the Woods Ballroom a perfect location; it even provides access to an outdoor terrace! (up to 150 guests) -The Garden Patio offers an outdoor setting compete with a newly-built white pergola, floral landscaping, brick flooring, pond, fountain and waterfalls to add to the scenery. This location can host up to 250 guests for a ceremony and up to 400 for a cocktail reception. -The Lake Minnetonka Ballroom can host up to 500 people! High ceilings adorned with modern light fixtures serve as a blank canvas to transform into your dream wedding! Our couples LOVE having their guests all in one place throughout the weekend with the opportunity to enjoy our amenities, including our large pool, sauna, and whirlpool! We offer courtesy room blocks with no obligation to fulfill a minimum number of rooms.

Our largest ballroom space, the 7,128-square-foot Lake Minnetonka Ballroom accommodates up to 450 guests for vibrant wedding ceremonies and receptions. Featuring flexible setup options, this spacious ballroom can be transformed to host both ceremonies and receptions in one location. With access to a window-lined pre-function foyer and a private entrance in and out of hotel, our well-appointed Lake Minnetonka Ballroom can accommodate celebrations of all sizes and styles.

    We had the best experience with the team from the day we first came for a tour until the morning after the wedding when we were checking out and doing a final walk through of the ballroom. They treated us with care, professionalism, timeliness, and quality products. Andrea and her team did a great job of running the show! Logistics were taken care of seamlessly and everyone said the food was delicious! When we were leaving, we ran into two maintenance staff who helped us get the leftover cake and check to make sure all the decorations were out and they went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. The patio area is so nice for photos and a cocktail hour and although we were inside, it was still a lovely time near the Lake Minnetonka ballroom. We could not have had a better experience of excellent service, care, concern, follow up and execution as we did with Andrea and her team! It was an unforgettable day and everything went as planned. Thank you!!

    Andrea is SO great to work with over at Minneapolis Marriott SW!! She is so kind and articulate with her clients. She truly wants the best experience overall for her couples and it definitely shows! The hotel also just got an AMAZING renovation in their ballroom space making this venue a top contender amongst all others! Highly recommend booking with Andrea and her team!

    We had the best wedding experience we could have ever dreamed of at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest! It was a perfect location, free parking, plenty of rooms, the food was amazing and people were all so nice and accommodating! Our built-in wedding coordinator, Andrea, was AMAZING!!! It was clear to us that she loves weddings, planning parties, loves love, and she took the best care of us to make sure our special day was perfect; she is truly a lovely wonderful person! She was quick to respond to all of my questions (even repeat questions), she went above and beyond in all aspects of helpfulness, including helping us stay in budget, bringing our gifts up to our room while we were having the time of our lives, ensuring everyone and everything was where they needed to be when they needed to be and all the small details I didn't think of! Everything went smoothly, all the staff were friendly and wonderful and all of my guests commented to me and my husband about how it was the best wedding they had ever been to, the food was the best wedding food they've ever had and that the venue was perfect!! Definitely consider using this venue if you're looking for an all-in-one perfect place where you can have your wedding, rehearsal, reception and have a place for your guests to sleep over and not drink and drive :) Perfection!!! I am beyond grateful for such a beautiful experience.

    We were married in October 2022 at our church followed by the reception at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest. Having worked on the corporate side of event planning for nine years and seeing many event spaces in the Minneapolis area, the Marriott Southwest stood out to me from previous events. I knew we should consider it for our wedding, and I'm glad the date worked out that we were able to host our wedding reception here. Becca was helpful to work with and stayed in great communicate with us. Even months later, our guests talk about the food and the beautiful outdoor courtyard we were able to utilize for the cocktail hour. The ballroom space was the perfect setting for our dinner and dance featuring a live band with seven members on a stage. The ballroom was spacious and guests were never crowded. The corridor outside the ballroom was perfect for our photobooth and additional bar area. Thank you, Minneapolis Marriott Southwest, for making our wedding so fabulous!
