Looking for a stress-free wedding day?! We have THREE beautiful event spaces available to consider: -A bank of windows offering natural light and a unique round shape makes the Lake of the Woods Ballroom a perfect location; it even provides access to an outdoor terrace! (up to 150 guests) -The Garden Patio offers an outdoor setting compete with a newly-built white pergola, floral landscaping, brick flooring, pond, fountain and waterfalls to add to the scenery. This location can host up to 250 guests for a ceremony and up to 400 for a cocktail reception. -The Lake Minnetonka Ballroom can host up to 500 people! High ceilings adorned with modern light fixtures serve as a blank canvas to transform into your dream wedding! Our couples LOVE having their guests all in one place throughout the weekend with the opportunity to enjoy our amenities, including our large pool, sauna, and whirlpool! We offer courtesy room blocks with no obligation to fulfill a minimum number of rooms.

Surrounded by a lush garden and overlooking a peaceful lake, there's no place more picturesque for an open air celebration than the Blue Birch Outdoor Patio at Minneapolis Marriott Southwest. With room for up to 250 ceremony or 400 reception guests, this gorgeous private or semi-private space can be transformed to host elegant outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions in one location.     On Oct. 11th, we had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Marriott Southwest, and Lisa and staff were amazing, to say the least. They went above and beyond what we had pictured what that day would be like. The ceremony and reception had zero issue, which is very surprising, and the staff was very accommodating to any request on that day to any minor changes which made it continue seamlessly. I would highly recommend this place for any couples looking for a very affordable place to hold their ceremony and or reception at.

    The team at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest was a pleasure to work with throughout our wedding planning process. Their communication was detailed, honest, and polite, which put us at ease and made the process seamless. The venue itself was large, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a wonderful backdrop for our special day. The Marriott staff communicated with us regularly to ensure all the logistics were taken care of, allowing us to truly be present and enjoy our wedding celebration.     Our wedding at the Merriot Hotel was unforgettable experience, and we couldn't have asked for a better venue or team to help us celebrate our special day. From the moment we first visited the hotel, we were impressed by its elegance and beautiful spaces. The staff was welcoming, and overall atmosphere was perfect for our wedding. A special shoutout goes to our event manager Becca! She was absolutely Phenomenal. From out initial planning meetings to the big day itself, Becca made everything seamless and stress-free. Her attention to detail, organization, and communication were outstanding. She listened to our vision and went above and beyond to bring it to life, ensuring that every aspect of our wedding was executed flawlessly. On the day of the wedding, Becca was a calming presence, coordinating with all the vendors and making sure everything ran on schedule. She handled any hiccups with grace and professionalism, allowing us to focus on enjoying our special moments with family and friends. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable! Our guests raved about the beautiful setting, and incredible meal, and overall experience. We are so grateful to the Marriot Hotel and Becca for making our wedding day truly magical. Their communication style was responsive, thorough, and timely - they assisted with everything before and on the wedding day, and responded quickly to all of our emails and questions. The quality of their work and value was exceptional, with a spacious, luxurious, and beautiful space that made our wedding day feel truly magical.
