The Fox and Bear Lodge was the perfect venue for our wedding. Janice, who runs the inn, was an absolute delight and took wonderful care of us and our guests all weekend, with her incredible breakfasts being a standout. Jenn, the day-of coordinator, was equally amazing—organized, attentive, and ensured everything went smoothly, allowing us to enjoy our day stress-free. For context, we had 65 people at our wedding total, including us and two children. This felt like the perfect size for our group, especially given the necessity of the tent due to chilly October nights. The lodge itself is charming, with great rooms and fantastic amenities. Despite its location at the corner of two streets, we barely noticed any traffic. While nearby lodging options are limited, most of our guests were satisfied with the Quality Inn just 10 minutes away. The venue struck a perfect balance between outdoorsy and chic, offering more flexibility than other venues. Though there were some additional but reasonable fees, it was wonderful to have our rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks, and brunch all at the lodge, making it the ideal fit for our special day. We are so thankful that we decided to stay over an extra night, without any of our guests, to get to truly enjoy the lodge a bit more before checking out. We fell in love with this venue the moment we drove up the road. My husband and I grew up in NJ, live in Brooklyn, and were looking for a venue that felt like a nature retreat while still being accessible for our friends and family. Milford is a great town just down the road and the hotels are so close too. Linnea and Alec were so communicative and helpful with the endless lists of questions we sent them. We cannot thank them enough for setting the stage for the weekend - and I'm just so impressed with how seamless and easy it felt to use their venue. We were struck just by the beauty of the whole property. It's absolutely marvelous! We were surrounded by charming little bunnies and butterflies the whole weekend. We took advantage of the place for the whole weekend - a Friday night pizza truck party, multiple pool and hot tub hangouts, and a Sunday bagel brunch in the barn. Everybody was raving about the barn, farmhouse, and cottage. The sunset during the reception created a great atmosphere for our guests to congregate and enjoy the lawn. We felt right at home and it made our wedding so incredibly special.

Cedar Lakes Estate is a slice of heaven on earth. I have had the pleasure of working with Cedar Lakes Estate for the last 5-6 years. Everything that the CLE team does is done with the intention of creating the most magical + memorable experience for their guests. They always put their best foot forward and understand what it takes to produce flawless events. So where do I begin? Food + Beverage: Their delicious food will melt in your mouth and will blow your mind. One of the things that I appreciate about their menus is that it is the farthest from wedding catering. It is so good that I have used them in NYC for events and weddings. Their culinary skills are sharp and they do what they do really, really well. Their menus are approachable but their flavor profiles + presentation are high end. CLE Team: One of my favorite things and strongest asset of CLE is their staff and team. Their serving staff is trained in house and are not random cater waiters. Their staff takes extreme pride in what they do each day and weekend and you can tell. They are invested in the client and in the brand which translates in everything they touch and do. From their management team all the way through to their housekeeping staff their team's hospitality + hard work is consistent. As a planner It's wonderful peace of mind. The Grounds: I like to say that CLE is the Disneyland of wedding venues and each year it gets better and better. I love being able to create unique and personalized events with my couples at CLE because the options are endless when producing an eventful wedding weekend. It doesn't matter what season your event is, there is always something to do for everyone. Accommodations: I mean...they are dreamy! It is such a treat to be able to host so many guests on a property. It changes the dynamic of a wedding weekend when you have the ability to host a large portion of your family and friends onsite. Camp Sacajawea was the best decision we made while wedding planning! We knew we didn’t want a standard ball room wedding but never could have imagined a venue as cool as Camp Sacajawea. The day we saw it we knew it was for us. The staff was super kind and helpful! The ambiance is eclectic and lends its self to so many possibilities, they even have a bunch of decor other couples have donate following their events to pay it forward to the next couple! You can use any vendors you want to make your event exactly as you wish! They even offer lawn games and, archery / axe throwing for events. We also came from out of state and they were super flexible/ supportive to make sure we were comfortable. Don’t hesitate if you’re interested, worth every penny! All our guests are raving about how much fun they had !

Magnificent place for an intimate, unique wedding experience. This is not your standard wedding venue that handles multiple events at a time and confines its guests to the reception hall or at best to a small outdoor space. The is the ultimate splendor of having an entire estate and staff dedicated to your intimate experience. My experience: a quintessential gift that paired with the thoughtful favor memorialized the event. As we drove up to the gated 1920’s estate overlooking the lake and manicured landscape budded with mature trees surrounding the landmark Spanish colonial which beckoned us in, Rushmore “had us at hello.” This home spoke to us. Beyond the craftsmanship and its meandering outdoor spaces, we felt drawn to this majestic property. “I was within and without” is how I would describe it ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby.. Blending into to the historical landscape, our wedding theme was simply Gatsby. "Can't repeat the past? Why of course you can!". This magical place transported us and our guests back to the lavish roaring period of a happy by gone era. How appropriate a medicine for today when we all seek an opportunity to unite in a safe social gathering. What better way to splendor the outdoors over many acres of pure solitude for you and your special guests alone to explore. Seeing everyone enjoying themselves was gratifying. All our guests told me how much fun they had. Thanks to Russell, Karen and Beth for making our event all the more magical and flawless. They didn’t miss a beat. The outdoor after party by the lake Russell set for us and some of our guests with a bon fire was the topper of the evening. It was lovely strolling around the lake after dinner. Russell and team equipped us with a customized service and were gracious with accommodating our special needs. One of which was by default an unforgettable personal experience beyond our dreams - a portal to a happier time. Beth was a super wedding planner and Karen helped with setting the stage for my Gatsby old Hollywood décor in the reception. Another topper to this event was the most decadent catering of Pamela’s Traveling Feast. She prepared the perfect menu and with varying serving stations to satisfy every palette. The wedding cake was incredible, nothing of this world. I cannot describe how amazing the wedding cake was, but I’ve never tasted anything like it. Paired with the homemade pies were simply to die for. All the food she prepared was of the same caliber, simply divine. Russell recommended Pamela who is top on their list of caterers no doubt. We were fortunate to have Pamela and I can’t tell you how many compliments I received from our guests on her culinary talents! She is a must have! No one else can possibly compare! Reverend Jim Rooney also recommended by Rushmore was truly amazing and personable who made us feel extra special. When we were saying our vows as Christian looked at me, “it was like all women want to be looked at by a man.” Then he kissed me “and the incarnation was complete.” ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby. All these elements collided like the stars and together created an unforgettable moment in time that is now bound to this magical place. I will never forget our experience at Rushmore. If you are looking for the most incredible experience for your wedding, its Rushmore. Planning our wedding from Charleston, SC, Daniel and I had to be strategic with our venue tours and wedding coordination. The North Shore House was the first venue we planned to visit on a weekend trip home. From the moment we drove through the gorgeous grounds gate, we were hooked. Eric met us at the door and gave us a walkthrough of the estate. He was very professional, thorough, light-hearted, and honest. He had all the answers to any question we posed. After leaving, we made it half through our next venue tour, and knew we had already found the place for us at the North Shore House. We got engaged in November, booked the North Shore House in January, and recently held our event on September 9th. A majority of our coordination meetings, we were able to hold remotely (which saved a few plane rides for us) Everytime we came to visit for a bridal expo, tasting, and then later our 30 day pre-wedding meeting, the grounds became lush and more beautiful than we remembered. It truly is a gorgeous venue. We had the pleasure of working with the entire team—from Louise and Eric, to Kelly, Molly, and Emma. It truly was a group effort. The platform that they use “Planning Pods” makes it easy to communicate all needs and unanswered prompts with clear deadlines. It’s a great tool to keep planning needs organized. The food was impeccable! Ken made the BEST recommendations! I have celiac disease, and the whole kitchen staff made accommodations to ensure all guests with allergies were able to enjoy the food. I’ll be thinking about Michelle’s gluten-free cupcakes for years to come! I have to take the rest of my review to praise Kelly Koster, who was our day-of coordinator. I could NOT have stayed as calm as I had without her guidance. The forecast for our wedding day was less than ideal, scattered storms in the area. All that I wanted for the past ten months was to get married alongside that gorgeous lake. Kelly and the team watched the storm tracker, and kept us updated on our options. She presented alternatives with a very matter-of-fact attitude, ensuring that it was our decision (which made it hard because I was talking to my husband through other people.) The whole team scrambled to move our ceremony a half hour earlier and ultimately, we moved the cocktail hour inside. As I walked down the aisle, a very dramatic windstorm blew through, my veil flew even off of my head! We all watched as the sky turned from blue to grey in the most dramatic way. It was a ceremony for the books. Not a drop of rain fell until the last guest entered the venue for cocktail hour. I could not have imagined our wedding to have been anywhere else. From the rehearsal dinner, to the wedding, accommodations, food, day-of coordinator, the North Shore House provided exactly what we NEEDED for our day. It truly is the best one-stop shop. We are forever grateful of the memories this venue has given us. We plan to come back every year for our anniversary dinner! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

We started the wedding planning process by starting to look at venues. Falkirk was the first venue we had toured and immediately fell in love with it. From seeing the golf course, the waterfall, the gazebo, and incredible views, it was breathtaking and we imagined ourselves getting married there immediately. We met with Andrea during our tour, and had the pleasure of getting to work with her throughout our planning process, and was absolutely incredible on the day of our wedding! She made herself available to answer our (many) questions, going over timelines, and ensuring that our vision and dreams for the day came true. They had it all, from phenomenal staff to incredible food, not to mention the stunning views. We could not have asked for better! They truly make you feel like a VIP throughout the entire wedding weekend. Andrea was an absolute gem to work with, and made sure everything we dreamed of came true. And when we got the opportunity to have fireworks during our reception?! To this day, we have friends and family still talking about the firework show. Andrea worked seamlessly with other vendors and the firework staff to make sure it was a surprise show that no one would forget. Our wedding day was a dream, and we are so glad we had it at the Falkirk Estate and Country Club. We are so incredibly happy we got the pleasure to work with them, and would recommend any couples that are starting the wedding planning process, to reach out to them.

On the night of, Daniel and David seamlessly dealt with any last minute things that came up, kept us on schedule, and made our night unforgettable. Our guests still can’t stop raving about the food, the rustic vibes, the gorgeous views of the lake, and the superb level of service. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our guests with food allergies which was so appreciated. We utilized their list of preferred vendors and were blown away by everyone. Booking our wedding at Lake Valhalla was the best decision we made!

We got married at The Mansion on Aug 10th and there are insufficient characters in this review box to capture our gratitude for what an impeccable place this was to get married. We initially chose the venue for ease of the location (we live a few blocks away). I hoped the food would be good, since we couldn't do a tasting, and just trusted it would all work out. THESE PEOPLE BLEW ME AWAY. The staff is awesome, from the Matre D, to the Bridal Attendant, to all the ways Jim and Nancy helped us tend to ever detail of the event, it was the most perfect day. The food was so delicious. Our guests are still talking to us about it weeks later. The cocktail hour was incredible. The main course was the best piece of meat I've ever had in my life. Everything was so fresh, and so delicious. My only regret of my wedding was that I didn't eat more than just a few bites of everything. I woke up the next morning craving the rest of my filet mignon, lol. We went with the "minimum" of everything included because we were on a budget, but it was all so abundant, generous and tasty. Even the dessert platters that came with the meal were amazingly delicious. The space itself is luxurious and beautiful. We had the whole venue to ourselves and the whole thing was just magical.

This was their first event in the space and they went above and beyond to make it an exceptional experience from preliminary planning to the wedding itself. Not only is it a stunning location with a perfect mix of indoor and outdoor space (get married/take photos in a literal apple orchard, and party it up inside a modern-with-tons-of-charm taproom) but Devin and his team were incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. They answered our questions quickly, and were extremely flexible and helpful the week of our wedding. We were able to bring up boxes earlier in the week, set up the day before our wedding, and had private access to the grounds/taproom on our wedding day. As a queer couple, we also loved that Bad Seed partners with Big Gay Hudson Valley year-round, so we already knew they would be a queer-affirming space and our wedding day was no different. Everyone we spoke to / worked with helped make our wedding a magical experience.
