To offer context, we tasked Maggie with taking an old, rather outdated country club, and asked her to transform the venue all while managing accommodations for over 260 people. “Being new to planning a wedding, we had no idea what we were signing up for. Quickly into the planning process, we realized we needed help to pull off our special day. The process of finding a day-of coordinator felt overwhelming—until we found MK Events. Without Melissa and Kourtney, I would have felt completely overwhelmed. “I really appreciated having Lissia (owner of It's the Little Things) and her assistant as my day-of-coordinators. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Lissia was always available for advice and to make sure everything was going well with the other vendors. She guided us through our wedding rehearsal. On the morning of our wedding she was there early to decorate and make sure everything was in place. She made our already beautiful venue look perfect and even brought a few additional decorations. Throughout the day, she made sure everyone (especially me) was in the right place and kept things moving. “Initially I intended to plan all of my wedding on my own - and in many ways I did. We were married at the Customs House in Portland, a venue that is a blankslate venue. As I neared the day however, I began to worry that there were aspects of the planning that I overlooked. I hired The Cosmos at their Month-of package level taking all of that worry out of the process. They took care of all of the things I did miss - called out that there was no plan for trash receptacles, revised the number of glasses rented, added bathroom attendants, adjusted the number of staff etc, but an unexpected element (and maybe the most important) is that they helped me to manage difficult family members.
