We have been performing as a band since 2003, when Jordan Shapiro formed the band with some close musician friends in Brooklyn, NY. Since then, the band has performed at hundreds and hundreds of concerts, weddings, festivals, parties, kids birthday parties, and various other kinds of family oriented events. We have an extensive songlist of over 300 songs, drawing from all styles of music, including traditional folk/bluegrass, as well as classic rock, pop, jazz and country. After years of performing in the pulsing cities of Philadelphia and New York, Liat moved to Colorado, where she drew inspiration from the folk music of the mountains. Her music evokes her itinerant life and Israeli-American heritage— 90s’ pop-rock meets 60s’ folk with glints of Middle Eastern desert soundscapes. She spins guitar acoustics with her powerhouse vocals for lyrical “dark folk” sounds that linger long after a performance.

I have studied and performed worldwide. I am currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Stony Brook University. I have studied at Manhattan School of Music, New England Conservatory, and Mannes. I have performed at numerous venues and festivals, such as Carnegie Hall, Jordan Hall, Aspen Music Festival, Young Artist Program at Canada National Art Center, Mozarteum Summer Music Festival in Salzburg, Sarasota Music Festival, Heifetz Music Festival,etc. I have played weddings at major venues in tri-state area, and hired by organizations such as The Cardone foundation, The Colombian American Goodwill Gala at The Untied Nations.
