Photography has always been my passion, but it wasn't until I started shooting weddings and portraits that I truly found my calling. There's something incredibly special about being able to document life's most important moments - the laughter, the tears, the joy, and the love. As a Houston-based photographer, I'm incredibly lucky to have access to some of the most beautiful locations in the city.

I’m a high school English teacher, so all of that time I spend wrangling teenagers and getting them to do work helps me out when I’m directing your wedding party for photos. I love being a teacher, and I love the flexibility it gives me to pursue another passion of mine: photography.

I (Karin) remember how I felt planning my wedding. Things I had never thought about before suddenly became the most important things to me. I researched like crazy and made inspiration pages in my wedding binder (before the days of Pinterest) so I had a clear idea of what I wanted. Above all I knew I wanted the most BEAUTIFUL photos that represented us. And even though we did all this work to find a great photographer, we were so disappointed with our photos. Now, I realized what mistakes I made and what I wish somebody would have shared with me when I was choosing a photographer.
