Hi! I'm Emma, owner and lead photographer of Emma Mullins Photography. Our goal is simple: to capture your vibe, your people, and your love in a way that looks and feels true to life. We're wrapping up our 11th Chicago wedding season, and it's been a whirlwind of all things real and fabulous! We are super excited to offer FILM photography services to our awesome couples this year!!

My hands-off, documentary approach allows couples to feel totally comfortable in front of the camera (it's the number one thing mentioned in my Reviews!). Expect a mix of candid moments and contemporary portraiture while still being able to enjoy time with your guests. We absolutely loved working with Emma and highly recommend her! We were lucky that Emma was visiting the San Francisco Bay Area for another shoot and could add on our elopement in City Hall. We were impressed with her professionalism, and she went above and beyond in scoping out the place beforehand and thoughtfully planning out a schedule (with backup plans!) for the day. She has a vision but very much listens to what you want from the day (e.g. we wanted more candid shots). Having never shot at the location before, and working with a rainy day, she captured some of the most beautiful wedding photos ever! Us and our family had never taken professional photographs before, and Emma was so friendly and approachable, she made us feel at ease and captured our best selves (including a wriggly baby!). She was communicative and quick to respond to emails throughout the whole process. If you're looking for a fun, flexible, and professional photographer who can capture your unique moments, we can't recommend Emma enough!

Emma is amazing - cannot recommend her enough. She is highly professional and organized and her communication is excellent. She is a fantastic photographer who created the most beautiful set of photos for us that captured our wedding brilliantly. She is so lovely to work with - so enthusiastic and positive and happy to work with you in whatever way she can. She went above and beyond to make sure we captured all aspects of our wedding. Cannot recommend her enough.

If you are getting married in Chicago, you HAVE to book Emma Mullins as your photographer. She is an absolute master at what she does. Not only are her photographs some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen, Emma is a true professional and from the beginning made my now HUSBAND and I feel incredibly comfortable. We had our engagement shoot with Emma about a year ago to get to know her and her style. We absolutely loved our engagement shots and were so excited for her to photograph our big day. Even before our wedding, we had check ins, she asked for shot lists, and was completely involved in every step of the planning process. When it came to our actual wedding day, Emma was amazing and kept my family calm and sane. The weather was a little up in the air so Emma also acted as my meteorologist which I am forever grateful for!! Thank you so much, Emma. We will cherish these pictures forever!!! Also, shoutout to Claire (her amazing second photographer)!!! You were both incredible.

Most couples book us 12-18 months before their wedding day. However, there are always exceptions! If you're getting married outside of that time frame, please don't hesitate to get in touch :)

Yes! I will often have an assistant with me on wedding days. If your coverage includes a second photographer, then at least two of us will be present during that time. Our team also includes a handful of talented Associate Photographers!

YES. Post-processing requires much time and attention. Each image in your gallery will be edited to artistic standards consistent with what you see on our web site.

Yes! We offer a variety of videography options. Inquire to learn more!

This depends on many factors, including hours of coverage, number of photographers, and when your wedding falls during the season. Your gallery will be delivered no later than 12 weeks from your wedding date. Often I deliver sooner than expected. Keep an eye on Facebook and Instagram for sneak peeks after your wedding!

Typically we deliver around 75 images per hour for both weddings and engagement sessions. Weddings with two photographers yield approximately 100 images per hour.

Yes! Happy to provide a certificate of insurance if required by your venue.

This is a great question! I will do everything in my power to photograph your wedding, but in an absolute worst case scenario where I cannot be there, rest assured that someone will be. Our Associate Photographers are fully trained in my style and ready to step in if needed. We belong to a strong network of photographers who are incredible (seriously - the best) about helping each other out in situations like this. I've been there in a pinch for others, and they'd do the same for me.
