“Zenju Weddings and Events of Hawaii, LLC is hands down the reason why we had THE BEST DAY OF OUR LIVES! Yanicke, is the owner of this company and she is hands down the best coordinator! My husband and I hired her to take care of all the stress as we are in California and she is in Honolulu. We booked her and her team to do full coordination for our wedding in Kaneohe, Hawaii. It was one the best decisions we have ever made. We were married at the Paliku Garden at Kualoa Ranch in Kaneohe, Hawaii on June 14, 2023. Almost three years since our wedding and I still cannot believe our dream wedding came to life. I am still on cloud 9 of how beautiful everything was and how smooth everything went. From the first time we spoke with Yanicke, we could tell she was someone who would get it done. I had called Kualoa Ranch to make sure I was able to book her because per the rule of booking Kualoa Ranch, you need a minimum of "day of coordinator". It pleased me to know that she had worked events on the ranch so she did not have to go through an interview process with them. What we loved the most about her is that she actively listened to our wants and our vision for our wedding. She always reassured us that she would work with our budget and not to worry. We would often text, do zoom meetings, and was always available to us. Yanicke made sure to be the contact person for every vendor and made things so easy for us. She gave us vendor options and I appreciated that because I still felt in charge of deciding who to book. The vendors she suggested were so awesome! Every vendor went above and beyond and I am so glad Yanicke had these connections. Our wedding looked amazing and all our guests loved everything about it. There were no issues with any. On the day of the rehearsal, Yanicke went over the setup and how everything was going to play out on the day of the wedding. On the wedding day, Yanicke came to our hotel to check on us and make sure we were up and ready to get the day started. I personally loved that about her because she was very attentive to us. When we arrived at the venue, everything was set to go. It looked so beautiful and dreamy, a dream come true. It looked so elegant and classy. I felt like I was in a dream that whole day because of how surreal it felt. Our wedding should have been featured in a magazine! Our wedding was over the top, in a great way, more than what we had expected. The vendors had surpassed our expectations. From the beginning of the wedding to the end, she was running the event smoothly. I hate planning and having her make sure we were on schedule was so great. The reception included a great buffet, beautiful floral arrangements, an awesome Polynesian performance (fire dancers, hula, the haka dance), a very detailed photographer, and a great DJ and emcee who knew how to get the guests excited. If I were to have another event in Hawaii, I would not hesitate to book Zenju Weddings and Events of Hawaii, LLC again because they made our wedding such a great experience. Definitely recommend to anyone having a destination wedding. She will provide you a list of her preferred vendors that she trusts and they go above and beyond. She will not disappoint. I guarantee! “Seriously, you need Annie. I am such a type A person that I thought maybe I didn’t need a wedding planner, but from the first consultation with Annie we decided immediately we needed her. She added value from day one, and saved me from making a horrible venue mistake. She knows everyone, all the vendors, and who’s the best fit for you and your wedding vision. What she doesn’t know (which is rare) she figures out - for example, I had a request to have a magician, a friend cleanse the space with sage smudging, and a sound healer at our wedding, and she handled all my unique requests so well and was up for anything. She is very detail oriented and pays attention to everything- all our bills being correct, caught mistakes I made, and paid attention to all my strange requests. Most weddings are full of some strange interpersonal dynamic challenges, and Annie knew exactly how to navigate each one, paid special attention to the dynamic issues with my family and was fully ready and prepped to keep certain people happy and apart. She dealt with last minute changes seamlessly, including a no-show bridesmaid and last minute addition of a flower girl. There is no one I trusted more with my wedding (and at this point my life, I mean, can I keep her?!!) than Annie. On my wedding day and for months leading up to it I knew that whatever happened to go wrong, whatever last minute issues I would have, Annie would handle it and figure it out and I would barely know the difference. “Aloha! Eight years ago was a very special day. Our beautiful ceremony took place on Waialae Beach in Kahala. We chose the White Roses Package, which included two leis with red and white rosebuds, we stood in a heart shaped leafy ring and our wonderful singer David Asing played his ukulele serenading us with Hawaiian Wedding Song; Kuuipo. We also released beautiful white doves out into the Hawaiian sunshine. Our hair and makeup was arranged for at our hotel on the big day and, a limousine collected us also. A truly fabulous day thanks to Leah and her husband Mike, who also took our photos and videoed the ceremony. Leah lovingly came to our rescue, when we both had a slight malfunction with our dresses! “If you read any review, read this one. For context, I'm a producer, my entire career is planning big scale events, productions, and hiring people. We went through 3 coordinators before finding Tara and it was because I had such a high standard for who I wanted to help me on my wedding day. Tara was, hands down, the best thing that could have happened to us for our wedding. We had multiple setbacks and last minute changes and none of them threw Tara off her step. She was honest with us 100% of the time about what was possible and what wasn't possible. And whenever either of us had concerns, Tara's response was always exactly what we needed to hear. She assured us that everything would work out and she would take care of it and she absolutely did. We did all of the decorations for our wedding ourselves and relied on Tara to set it up and execute our vision. Not only were we both FLOORED walking down the aisle seeing what she had done, it was actually better than we could have ever imagined. Additionally, after the wedding I found out that there was an issue with our credit card that almost prevented the vendor from delivering the items on time - Tara took care of it without telling us (the best thing a wedding coordinator can do) and I really appreciated how it was handled without needing to ask us. I can't say this enough, Tara was the best thing that ever happened to us for our wedding. Truly I don't think we paid her enough. We are so incredibly grateful for what she's done for us and if we were to ever have a huge event in need of planning, I'd hire her in a heartbeat. Stop looking for a coordinator, just hire her. “My wife and I worked with Finishing Touch for our wedding in March 2024. I can't say enough great things about the quality of work and expertise Sandra and her team had from start to finish. One of the most remarkable aspects of our experience was the impeccable organization and coordination. Every element of our wedding, from the food vendor to the floral arrangements, was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. During the wedding day I didn't even have to think, Sandra and her team had everything outlined and prepared. There was a moment where we sat down at our Sweetheart table to start the main reception and I had a thought, "I need to head to the bar to get myself and wife a drink." Right at the end of that thought I had one of her staff deliver us our plates of dinner along and asked what drinks we wanted. Within what felt like seconds our cocktails magically appeared. I know it's small but at that moment we felt pretty darn spoiled and taken care of. Because Sandra and her team were so attentive it really allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the joy of our Big Day. Also big shout out to Sandra for helping us resolve a small family situation. We had a service drop off our Chinese Grandma (94 years old) but they dropped her off like 45 mins early at the venue while we were taking pictures elsewhere. Grandma was with a family member who doesn't speak Cantonese so they were both confused on what to do and where to go. Sandra rushed over to them and spoke to Grandma in Cantonese and handled the situation. That's the level of care you'll get from Finishing Touch. McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. “Cassie was incredible to work with, my wedding day couldn’t have been pulled off without her!!! I had a Cape wedding with a handful of moving parts as opposed to everything happening in one place— from getting ready offsite in rental houses, church ceremony, coffee hour in between to fill time, then cocktail hour/reception at the venue— Cassie made the day absolutely seamless!!
