On my arrival, parking was easy and there were clear directions made for all attendees. When I arrived I was greeted by Justine, and assisted with my bags by others staffed by Justine to offer helping hands to my work area that was separate, clean, and spacious. My work area had amazing lighting already set up, a chair and table set up, and a personalized gift bag and refreshments waiting for me. I thought that it was above and beyond with service for her vendors. It felt good to work in an environment where I walked in with great impressions, service, and appreciation for my services rendered. I was grateful to have a setup that allowed me to work with ease and comfort. Each person who required makeup had a time slot and was on time and prepped very well. Justine did a wonderful job at making sure everyone was aware of what was going on and where we would be, if working. I appreciated her attentiveness to detail and how through her planning was executed. I also received an itinerary of the event and it was filled with beautiful moments and fun. As an attendee the setup of the event space was gorgeous. There was plenty of refreshments in a spacious and well decorated area. The food was also amazing. “I truly cannot put into words how amazing our entire experience was from start to finish. We found John and Avec L'Amour through our photographer, Heather Soucy. She told me that her family even used John for her brother's wedding because of everyone she has worked with, she trusted him to document their special day in the best way. That spoke volumes to me. When I say these two are a 'dream team' I am not kidding. As someone who had never been professionally photographed or video'd before, I was really nervous about looking and feeling awkward. John made my husband, Mike, and me feel SO comfortable throughout the whole day. It was so cool seeing these two incredibly creative minds feeding off each other to get the best possible shot. It was a little rainy on our day and they actually took video/photos of us inside a puddle reflection--I mean who thinks of that?! We were running a little late to the reception when our portraits were supposed to be taken and John knew we didn't want to miss too much of cocktail hour. We were able to get the most beautiful shots in just 30 minutes, including drone, which was super important to us. The Avec L'Amour team got absolutely stunning video without us feeling like we had cameras in our faces all night. We booked John for the 8-hour package, but realized we were not going to be able to get the bouquet toss or cake cutting in that time frame. NO worries!! John offered to stay an extra hour to capture the remainder of the evening. Now for the deliverables: we got our first teaser video back within 3 weeks of our day and I was absolutely blown away. We received the full gallery which included a 1 minute teaser, 3 minute trailer, and the full 1.5 hour long event not even a MONTH after our wedding day. It was just like watching a move of all our favorite people and he captured the day so perfectly. I cannot say enough: RUN, don't walk to book John and Avec L'Amour for your special day!! Worth every penny. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

First and foremost, they are a great band; not your typical “wedding band”. They aren’t cookie cutter (i.e. you won’t hear them playing the same songs that you hear at every wedding) and they certainly aren’t stiff. They vibe off each other and the room. They are legitimately having a fun time performing with each other and that permeates throughout the room. Everyone will be up dancing, singing, drinking, and sweating their butts off, and having a blast! What to expect: -Professionalism. Brooks responds promptly and covers all bases. No detail will be overlooked during the planning stages. Day of, they get to the venue well ahead of time to sound check and make sure everything is sounding perfect. During the event, they are great at providing direction and making sure everything runs smoothly. -Personalization and flexibility. The guys truly care about making the event as special as possible and are very open to any idea to bring the event over the top. In addition to our “special request” songs (which they nailed) the band was incredibly gracious at my request to join them onstage to “surprise” my wife and guests by playing a song along with them. It could not have gone over any better…my wife was thrilled and it absolutely brought the house down! -Party! They know what will get everyone up and moving. Their catalogue of songs is well over 200 and it includes all decades and genres. Multiple guests commented that they didn’t want to leave the dance floor to get dessert or go to the bathroom because every song was such an amazing jam. The Barnstorm is absolutely worth every penny. We knew they were the right band for our wedding the first moment we heard them at Hill Country, and we feel so lucky and grateful to the guys for playing our wedding. On top of it all, my wife, friends, and I get to continue to relive that night by seeing their gigs throughout NYC! We simply cannot say enough great things about The Barnstorm.”

My wife and I had a covid-remix wedding where we had to move our wedding from right before Covid to April of 2021 (somewhat safe of a time to move forward). I have worked with Tino and his wife Ericka for about a year and a half and every step of the way Tino has been professional, accommodating, respectful, and just an absolute pleasure to work with. As a newly engaged couple and of course wanting to explore all of our options, my wife and I had decided to go to a wedding expo event at Terrace on the Park. After a warm welcome from his assistant CeCe and just admiring his work I knew right there I would be in great hands. From there I had reached out to Tino and we had an initial consultation. I just wanted to mention this because during that consultation, Tino’s first impression was so gentle and warm and I really appreciated that he wasn’t trying to sell us something like multiple other vendors. Also, Tino was able to intimately showcase his personal work and with that my wife and I were able to see that Tino genuinely has a passion for photography, loves what he does, and pours it into his work. The next time we met Tino was our engagement shoot. Tino and Ericka were beyond graceful and accommodating because we decided to do our photo shoot in Domino Park on what happened to be a windy, below freezing day near the water front during sunset. In-between the engagement shoot and covid pushing back our wedding Tino was very accommodating to work with and always keeping in touch in a respectful manner to just check in on us, our ideas, and genuinely our well-being. He gave us great advice as we spoke with other vendors to make our day as organized as possible. Fast forward to April 2021, the big moment finally came! We had a big fat Indian-Italian wedding consisting over a weekend. At every moment his team was professional and just a pleasure to work with to the point where our guests even pointed out how fun and pleasurable they were! Tino, Ericka, Benji, Adam, Derek, Gary, and Rubin at every moment were just punctual, funny, professional, and genuinely a good time. Tino gave great pointers that shined in his work - make up tips, dressing tips, lighting at the venue, poses, motions for our videos, color schemes, you name it. Tino and his team allowed us to feel relaxed and have fun this whole weekend which could have been super stressful. My wife and I were lucky to choose Tino. Our engagement shoot and wedding pictures are absolutely phenomenal. We are thrilled to show friends and family. We’re still using our engagement shoot as our Christmas card two years in a row. Absolutely fantastic work. Our wedding photos came out phenomenal and picture perfect like one of those pictures you get when you buy a picture frame from a department store. Our wedding videos WERE OUT OF THIS WORLD. They actually looked as if it were directed by a movie producer. The video was composed of great motions, video footage, music choices and more at every scene. Tino is beyond talented. All in all, we had a fantastic experience with Tino and his team and the most important thing was that we were completely comfortable while having a fantastic time. We were beyond lucky to have met Tino and Ericka and their team. I truly consider them not only my photographers for life but wonderful, warm people.”

“We had nothing but positive experiences with Mario from engagement shoot to the big day! We used Mario for our engagement shoot in Philly about a year before our wedding. We were really unsure of locations and he had great suggestions that he ran by us and offered ideas ahead of time and during the shoot, he helped adjust as we looked at the lighting and space. We both expressed how unsure we were about taking professional pictures since this was a first for us and were not comfortable with a lot of the trendy shots and he really worked with us to make all the poses feel natural to us while still looking phenomenal. We decided to go with his associates for the big day based on our budget and they did not let down. Mario specifically picked two photographers who were familiar with our venue and had great suggestions for where to get the best shots. Our two associates, Rachel & Alyssa, were helpful, kind, fun, professional and absolute champs to get all the best pictures on our day. We had 100 degree temps and they worked so hard to make sure we were comfortable the entire time while not sacrificing the pictures we had planned for. They checked in with us often and were not afraid to tell our family that the group pictures were done so that we could actually enjoy cocktail hour (after confirming with us that is was what we wanted). They also took adorable couples pictures of our guests during lulls in the dinner service that my family and friends were beyond excited for.
