How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Typically, couples book me about 12-18 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

You can add a 2nd photographer for a half day or a full day to any package.

Will you edit all our pictures?

Accepted Answer

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.

Do you also offer video services?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Abacus Studios offers video ranging from just RAW footage, to full, custom edited videos, delivered on DVD, USB, or Download. Video is quickly becoming a "must have" service for weddings, since it captured much more then photography.

How long will it take to see our pictures?

Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online within 1-2 weeks after your wedding. Shorty after you will receive your high resolution images on a USB drive, so you can share the photos with family and friends and order prints.

How many pictures will we get?

Accepted Answer

You can expect about 800 to 1000 images. Abacus Studios does not limit the amount of images your photographer will take on your wedding day.

Do you have insurance?

Yes! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

In almost 2 decades of being in business, Abacus Studios has never missed an event. This is the advantage of working with an experienced studio like Abacus. Abacus Studios will always have staff on stand by, in the event of an emergency or extenuating circumstances, ensuring your wedding day is captured by a true professional who works with the Studios.

What if I am workin on a budget?

Abacus Studios will work with every couple on a package that not only includes what couples want, but also their budget. Abacus Studios will also include price guarantees in your contract for albums and video edits, for up to 12 months after the event so you can take advantage of any offers and promotions at the time of your booking without having to pay for it up front.

How do your payment work?

Our payments are collected in 3rds, with the initial third due upon agreement of the contract. The second payment is deferred toward your wedding, and is due about two months before the wedding date. The balance payments then due by the last business day before the wedding. Invoices are mailed out 30 days in advance . We are flexible and will work on a payment that works for you.

Yes, 15% off any item which can be combined with some package offers.

Do you offer any addtional discount?

Abacus Studios offers discounts to registered NJEA, NYEA and PAEA, teachers. Firefighters, first aid, first responders, police, and military.

Do you offer in person appointemnts?

Yes, we offer, in person appointment at our old Bridge location, as well as phone and virtual appointments.
