This venue was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful views, lots of entertaining space, room for our closest friends and family and a gorgeous backdrop for our photos. The management was helpful and offered up amazing suggestions for food, photos and decor. We loved the interior of both homes but the main house was stunning enough to have photos taken inside too! We were pleasantly surprised by the clear views of the sound and the sweeping farm land! We only had our closest friends and family but I could see how this home could accommodate larger groups. We are planning a trip in the fall for a long weekend (Airbnb) because we enjoyed our time there so much.

This spacious facility features 14,000 square feet of event space that can be used for all your wedding weekend activities. Formerly a train depot, the vaulted ceilings and exposed beams combine to make the space feel rustic and elegant. Hardwood floors offer a refined platform for the newlyweds to have a memorable first dance. The dark tones of wood and exposed brick help to create a warm and cozy experience. The Washington Civic Center has plenty of room for over 200 guests. The venue offers a two-day package for weddings which opens up endless opportunities for a personalized celebration. Make sure to ask about our Something Borrowed room that contains greenery, table décor, signage, and plenty of other decorations that our clients can use at no extra charge.

Charlotte at the Washington Civic Center was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. Her communication style was friendly, engaging, and problem-solving - Charlotte was so nice to talk with every time we reached out and provided helpful information on renting the venue. The venue itself is sentimental, beautiful, with just the right amount of natural light and waterfront location creating a stunning backdrop for our special day. They went above and beyond, providing linens and helping us navigate any facility questions or issues that came up. So many of our guests complimented the gorgeous venue space, and we were able to have it for a full two days, which was incredibly convenient. We're so grateful to the team at the Washington Civic Center for helping make our wedding day perfect.

There would never be enough words of praise for how my husband and I feel about The Victorian and having it as our wedding venue. We were married here on October 2, 2021 and it was the BEST day. Brian and Giuliana are incredible and have truly put so much hard work into making this venue beautiful. It is naturally beautiful on both the inside and the outside, that you really don't even need many decorations. Not to mention, the way that Brian and Giuliana have decorated the inside of the house (especially the bridal suites and groomsmen rooms and the library) is GORGEOUS." We chose a package with the venue that included additional items, along with day-of-coordination, and we are SO GLAD we did. Having Brian as our day-of-coordinator was a GIFT! He made sure the day ran so smoothly while being so calm and fun (never frazzled). Our families and bridal party were so impressed with Brian and how he and his team ran our so wedding from start to finish that day. The Victorian has a preferred list of vendors and EVERY vendor we used from that list was INCREDIBLE. All of these vendors ended up being our favorite vendors. We highly recommend using Brian and Giuliana's preferred vendors because it saves SO many headaches and they happen to know great people who end up feeling like friends, not just vendors. Even more so, Brian and Giuliana were so responsive to us from Day 1 and always answered our questions thoroughly and quickly. We knew when we booked we had found a gem of a venue, but that's an understatement. Our wedding day at The Victorian was a dream, and The Victorian (Brian and Giuliana) played one of the biggest parts in that. I could go on and on about how we feel about The Victorian, but to sum it up: we cannot recommend getting married here enough!

Built in 1934 and renovated in 2017, the barn is a luxury wedding venue in North Raleigh unmatched in its scale and charm. This is the perfect barn wedding venue that can accommodate events large and small! The Historic Wakefield Barn is a National Historic Site that sits on 14 acres – the property includes a bridal suite, horse barn, the main barn and outdoor event spaces. The venue combines the barn’s history with subtle modern touches that result in a unique event space. The property is still an active horse farm, with two horses who live on-site named Mandatory, and Jackson!

The Historic Wakefield Barn was the perfect venue for our wedding day. Their communication throughout the planning process was outstanding - Brent was so helpful and responsive, making the entire experience stress-free. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, with a unique vintage and classy feel that exceeded our expectations. They went above and beyond to make our day special, providing a beautiful custom "Savannah" hanger when we booked the venue and even arranging for horses to be part of our celebration. When it rained right after our ceremony, we were so grateful for the indoor/outdoor capabilities - the team had a seamless rain plan that allowed us to enjoy the rest of the evening indoors.
