We were in the traditional wedding business under the umbrella business, Panache Catering, Inc, for over 30 years and left it because we eventually were worn out by what it had become. In that time we catered thousands of weddings. The expectations among a some groups of wedding families simply became impossible to meet. If you, too, are becoming worn out by what you are finding in the wedding industry you likely have found a great alternative at 2 Penguins.

We had the most wonderful wedding here on 9/10! It was the perfect blend of a few classic traditions and a laid back space that all of our guests raved about. Dan was great to work with from the start, and helped day-of to make sure our event ran smoothly. He and all the awesome staff nailed the small details and great service. We chose one of the cocktail style menus and the food was delicious, plus all of the Colorado beers and spirits were a hit with guests. If you're looking for a versatile and really reasonably priced venue, I would highly recommend choosing 2 Penguins.

Professionalism. This group truly works as a team from Sales, to Planning, to Execution. The staff is extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable. This was especially crucial for me as this was a destination wedding for me, so everything was accomplished virtually. The planning process was enjoyable, and for an out of town bride like me, the wedding planning binder was a lifesaver. The team the day-of was amazing. The extra, small touches were above and beyond what I expected. Value. It was amazing how far our dollar stretched at Ashley Ridge! At other venues, the cost of simply renting the empty space covered the venue space and so much more at Ashley Ridge. They have great decor and extra features that would be an additional fee at other venues like the greenery wall and cloud lighting. The food was absolutely delicious as well! They also provide a military discount! Location. This was an amazing spot for out-of-town guests as it sits by several hotels, restaurants, and things to do. The views of the mountains were stunning as well. There are several parks nearby for wedding party photos. There are tons of restaurants nearby for rehearsal dinners.

We only host to one event per day, which means you exclusively have our entire event center at your fingertips! We have an indoor facility that can easily be segmented depending on your event’s needs which seats around 385 people comfortably. First off, the location is beautiful and so is the inside. Lots of different types of venues within the building so super customizable. I was there for a holiday party on 12/2/22 and was so impressed. I got to see each space they had and it was beautifully decorated. Great staff, very clean (including the bathrooms) and I would definitely go back to any event being held there or highly considerate for my own event in the future!

Opened in 2004, The Grange seamlessly blends rustic charm with contemporary amenities. Central aspects include natural light, grand ceilings, a bar and prep kitchen, a covered patio with heating capabilities, and a perimeter of garage doors for a free-flowing indoor/outdoor concept. Renting with us is “DIY” - We provide the venue, plus some amenities, and you bring it to life (no required vendors). Please note we are NOT an all-inclusive venue and our rates are HOURLY. THE GOOD STUFF The Grange fit our needs really well for a 50 person baby shower. With the setup we chose, the room felt full but not crowded and allowed for ample room for people to move around. The fireplace added a nice atmosphere without making the room hot. The bathrooms and space were clean when we arrived. The Grange offers several table options which made it super easy for us to setup a kids zone, silent trivia area, and guest tables. Given that tables and chairs are included in the rental fee, it is fairly priced. A FEW BUMMERS While we wanted to have the garage doors open for an open-air feeling, it seemed that even the smallest bit of wind would knock over all of our decorations. Because we couldn't have the garage doors open, we did confine everything to indoors which changed our plans a bit with outdoor yard games as it wasn't super intuitive to go outside to the covered patio. We also would have liked to have been asked about the signage The Grange put outside. We had a co-ed baby shower but when we pulled up, the sign only listed the mother-to-be's name. Not a huge deal, but definitely could have been avoided. IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS A few things to note that may be important to you: 1. All setup, teardown, and cleaning is YOUR responsibility. So, if you don't want to haul tables and chairs, take out the trash, and mop the floor, this venue is not for you. (Note: We were made well aware of this prior to booking so it isn't a surprise but definitely a big consideration as it cuts into your rental time.) 2. The microphone works well for the main room but is very difficult to hear in the "back area" where the restrooms and food counters are. 3. When working on your budget, be sure to factor in the cost of getting event insurance as this is required and is an additional cost. (Again, we were made aware of this in advance so it wasn't a surprise.) 4. No table coverings/linens/tablecloths are provided so be sure you factor this into planning and your budget.

Wow. Seriously book them now. The venue itself is Romeo and juliet meets wine cellar meets Cinderella, with grand staircase and balconies! The food was literally the best food I've ever had, and my chef husband was floored. The staff was incredible, so helpful and coordinated everything!! They were so communicative and sweet. Of the 80 venues I looked into, this was the most affordable while still being pretty all inclusive. No mtn views, but that's what makes it a perfect choice for colder months when you still want it to be unique and beautiful!!! 10000 stars!

My husband and I have been visiting the Botanic Gardens for years and it was the only venue we wanted for our wedding day. The wedding day was everything we had hoped for and many of our guests commented afterward how beautiful it was. We also knew ahead of time that we wanted an intimate wedding and the Woodland Mosaic and Solarium as our location. The weather was fairly warm on our date but our guests didn't feel it because the venue has lots of shade with the solarium and trees. It also felt like a more secluded space, which is something that we wanted. Our wedding date was a very popular Saturday in June, and I believe 5 other weddings were taking place at the same time! Because our location felt so private, we hardly noticed. The only exception being the "golden hour" for photography, where we were taking photos in the Japanese garden and carefully maneuvering around other couples also taking photos. If you want to be the only bride in sight, keep this in mind. We didn't care though. Because we had such a small wedding (40 people), we chose not to have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. I would recommend one for this venue if you have a larger group or if you don't have a lot of helping hands. We had a lot of help from our families on the day of the event - helping set up things like the gifts/card table and brining in liquor in coolers. We also carried out a lot of items ourselves at the end of the night. This isn't a complaint from our end, as we expected to do some of the coordination ourselves. Just keep in mind that if you don't want to have to do anything on your wedding day, be sure to hire someone for that role. Emily was great at coordinating from the Botanic Gardens side. She gave us helpful information when needed, responded quickly, and we also met her about a month in advance to walk through the site, going over details on things like chairs and tables. In addition, you get an hour walkthrough during the day before your event. On the day of, I booked a touch-up room (included in the price). They have a limited catering list and we were happy to use Serendipity Catering for our food, bartenders, service staff, desserts and floral, which made coordinating everything a lot easier! I highly recommend working with Brie and Raven. Another perk of booking this venue is that you can bring in your own alcohol, which can save money. Negatively, it was a bit of work for our families to haul all of this in and out while in formalwear. Depending on which space you book, you are also only able to have acoustic music. We wanted (and hired) a string quartet, so this worked for us. However, if you want to dance the night away with a DJ, you would need to book elsewhere for the reception or book their indoor ballroom. The best surprise for us was a free couples membership for a year to the Botanic Gardens. We are so excited to have the opportunity to spend more time here, enjoying their many event offerings throughout the year. We can't wait to return year after year!

We had our wedding at The Ramble and stayed for multiple nights leading up to and after the special day. I have zero complaints about our whole stay, everything was perfect. The venue is stunning. The food and drinks were delicious. The rooms were very cute and comfortable. The staff were so kind, friendly, and helpful to us and our guests. They went out of their way multiple times to ensure our comfort and it was so appreciated. Leading up to the day, they were very communicative and so welcoming with each visit we made. Planning the wedding from out of state, they truly took so much pressure off our plate. Tessa and her team absolutely killed it, and it shows in how smoothly they are able to run an event. We’re so thankful they helped create a special day for us.

I cannot recommend a venue more highly than Highlands Ranch Mansion. The whole entire grounds is absolutely stunning and from the moment your guests walk in they will be blown away. Throughout your event, your guests get to explore the whole mansion and learn about its rich history which makes it such a unique and fun touch. The venue also offers many ceremony and cocktail hour locations and each has a breathtaking view from the mountains to whimsical gardens. After that you have the great hall to invite guests in for dinner and dance the night away. Not only is the venue amazing itself but their whole entire team is such a pleasure to work with! They are so knowledgeable, friendly and absolutely go out of their way however possible to guarantee an amazing event! Again, I cannot recommend the mansion enough and it truly is one of the most jaw dropping venues in Colorado!
