Welcome to Once Upon a Time Events LLC, a wedding venue located in Kiowa, CO The venue sets the perfect scene for a country wedding, surrounded by the Colorado hills, mature trees and scenic views that stretch over 40 miles. The barn is conveniently located a half mile off state highway 86, but provides the quiet privacy of the rural countryside. We are committed to creating an event that is uniquely yours, customizing services to your particular needs and preferences. The venue space can accommodate weddings small and large, with affordable and competitive pricing. Situated on 70 acres of scenic hills, pastures and farms. The 3,200-square-foot barn offers a charming, rustic feel that is perfect for your dream country wedding. Draped with tulle and fairy lighting, the barn has a rustic yet elegant feel. The venue has several unique spaces, including outdoor decks complete with cafe lighting, a dedicated ceremony site, patio heaters, gas fire pits and a bridal changing suite.

Welcome to Once Upon a Time Events a place where your happily ever after begins!

We built a 3200 square foot barn into a charming and rustic venue perfect for anyone looking for a country setting. We are not in a busy town or near a noisy road. Our place is in the rural countryside, yet a convenient 1/2 mile off of paved state highway 86. We have views that extend for miles. We are here to make your event just that, YOUR event!

    Once Upon A Time Events LLC was an excellent choice for our wedding venue. From the start, their communication was clear, responsive, and helpful, which put us at ease during the planning process. The value they provided was fantastic - they set up all the tables and decor, and the space had plenty of room for our 150 guests. The vibes were great all around, and we were thrilled to have a dedicated getting ready suite onsite. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day experience thanks to the wonderful team at Once Upon A Time Events LLC.

    Janine and Lark have setup a beautiful rustic wedding venue on their property in Kiowa. An outdoor ceremony space looking out over fields to the east, a dedicated building for the bride and groom (and attendants) to get ready at the venue, a lovely barn for the reception with kitchen resources for the caterer, great outdoor seating, views of Pike’s Peak on a clear day, and even a mini-castle! Working with Janine and Lark was frictionless, they have the business end of their operation down. They were very responsive when we wanted to come out and visit and through the contract phase. Day of they were around if needed but let our wedding planners and vendors do their thing. Oh, and also there are llamas! Highly recommend this venue for your event, we had a small wedding of 55 which worked great but they can easily accommodate much larger groups.

    Lark and Janine are absolutely amazing!! They worked with us for anything we needed! Our wedding planner failed to tell them we would be coming out the day before our wedding to set up after she told us that was ok. Lark and Janine came out to help us set up! They were so sweet and nice! Loved the venue so much space and a beautiful view!

    Once Upon A Time Events LLC is one of those unique venues you have to see to believe. Not only do they have everything for the bride and groom, but has items to help out the caterer as well as the bar. If you need centerpieces, they have a wide variety to choose from. If you want an outstanding view, look no further. On top of all this, the owners are some of the nicest people to not only work with...but just to know as well.
