Meshawn and the team at Perfection Unlimited were our Coordination team for our October 2023 wedding. We could not have asked for a better team to coordinate our unique wedding ceremony that was a surprise to our guests. After connecting with PU via Thumbtack back in mid-2023, we spoke with Matthew who immediately understood the importance of our vision. Our wedding was held at the New Parkway Theater in Oakland, Ca. It started off as a friends and family screening of a short film (the Bride was the director, the Groom was a crew member). Then, during the post-film Q&A, we revealed to our guests that we were getting married right then and there in the theater. Not only did PU coordinate a film screening complete with red carpet, step & repeat photos, food, drink, DJ and more, but they helped transition into a full wedding ceremony. Meshawn ran point on everything: rehearsal, procession, recession, cake, etc. Stellar team members, Angel and Rakisha, executed everything flawlessly. Angel acted as the special events coordinator, making sure our tech was on point (sound, picture, graphics, everything!) and she even made a reel for us to post on our socials. PU was up for the challenge of our 2-in-1 surprise wedding/film screening, and they rose to that challenge with much aplomb. For what we asked for, they could've up-charged us greatly. PU made us feel heard and seen throughout the process. We wanted our wedding to be a collaboration between BIPOC businesses and creators celebrating what we can achieve when we work together. Thanks to PU for what they promised, perfection.

If there is one decision you must make for your wedding, you must hire Sholeh as your wedding planner or coordinator. Sholeh is everything that every good planner should be. She is organized, thoughtful, flexible, down-to-earth, detail oriented, solution oriented, and extremely kind. She was recommended to us by our wedding venue and to say we were not disappointed would be the understatement of the century. Initially, we hired Sholeh for half-day coordination services, and planned to have the in-house reception planner handle the remainder of the day. But when the venue coordinator fell through, we immediately called Sholeh in a panic and she said, "Don't worry, consider me your full-day coordinator now." She hardly even charged us a substantial upcharge for planning the entire day. On the day of the wedding, she truly felt like family. She arrived on-time, with her wagon full of supplies, ready and eager to help. She made sure everyone was fed, went out of her way to spend quality time with the mother of the bride and bride's sister, and executed every detail to perfection. She even sewed one of the groom's cousins back into her dress at the reception. Sholeh is a dream come true. We could truly write pages about how wonderful she truly is. Kayce is an excellent wedding coordinator! Our special day ran so smoothly because of how prepared she helped us be. From the very beginning Kayce was very professional. She was timely with emails, texts and in person meetings, was always a great listener and she’s hilarious (you need a good laugh when planning things like this!) Every worry I had with the overwhelming process was put at ease with Kayce and I was able to focus on being excited about marrying the love of my life. She put all of our needs and wants in the forefront and I really felt like she was doing everything possible to give us the wedding we had hoped for. Kayce walked us through all the last minute planning phases, gave us sample timelines, coordinated with all of our other vendors and prepared them with our timelines and expectations. The day of, she coordinated everything top to bottom (she even did some impromptu decorating and table setting) and I can't explain in words how wonderful it was to enjoy my wedding without having to worry if any hiccups were going on around me (and there were, and I had no idea until we laughed about it the next day!) Kayce went above and beyond to make our day about US and I am so thankful te have had her there with us. With Kayce, we didn't feel like clients, we felt like close friends! Kayce is the way to go!
