The team at Wildman was so kind and accommodating for us as we planned our wedding day. We wanted our wedding to feel like a big party, and Wildman’s flexible space worked perfectly for transitioning from our ceremony into our reception. The upstairs bridal suite was perfect for us to relax before the ceremony and have a moment to regroup afterward before joining our guests, and also to change into a party dress after dinner! This place was so good to us through the planning process. We booked about 2 years ahead of our date as the world was coming off all the covid craziness. I had seen them on social media prior to getting engaged and we booked after it being the only venue we toured. It is the perfect back drop to any theme or color palette. Let me tell you, they have it all! I worked closest with Kelsey and then Hanni and they were wonderful. Always available by email every step of the way through planning and sent reminders of when we needed to get together for detail meetings. I loved that I was able to do ceremony, reception, food/beverage, tables/chairs, linens, photobooth and even decor with them. It was so nice to have less outside vendors to coordinate. They throw an amazing tasting party where you get to sample a good portion of the menu items including drinks and meet other couples. The tier packages they have updated make it even easier to get an 'all inclusive' experience. (I also booked my bridal shower at Circa on Seventh and got some freebies for already having my wedding booked with them) Everyone I have run into since our wedding has RAVED about the food that it was the best wedding food they have ever had. We did custom cocktails that they special ordered ingredients for. As far as logistics, I was able to drop all my decor off the week of the wedding and did not have to pick up til the Monday after which was a HUGE RELIEF. The bridal suites are absolutely gorgeous and photograph well. There is not a spot for the guys to get ready but the staff had plenty of suggestions and partnerships with other close-by establishments. Also, my wedding was mid July and my dress was quite heavy so it did get hot on the dance floor even with AC. All in all, I would absolutely do it all over again. THANKS UPPER EAST/CULINARY INFUSIONS!!

I literally could write for an hour or two and still not be able to tell you everything that was so wonderful about working with WSE. They were well organized, available, kind, and definitely make you feel like family. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and photographs very well. We took advantage of the recent upgrades to Alpha and it was a fantastic space; big enough to comfortably accommodate our 150-ish guests, décor, dance floor, buffets, memory table, etc, but still felt intimate. They coordinated well with our outside vendors and I appreciated that we weren’t limited in our vendor selection. They made a lot of things just work without stressing us out at all. The setup for my caterers/servers was excellent and accommodating. The Romeo suite was so much fun for the groomsfolk, but the Juliet suite was an AMAZING amenity. The salon chairs and backlit mirrors were so convenient for my HMUA. The suite was comfortable and roomy despite the zillion people I had coming in and out. The full kitchen (particularly the full size fridge/freezer) was super nice to have. We had our ceremony on the west lawn, which was absolutely beautiful. They also were very enthusiastic and accommodating about letting us get some photos with our dogs and incorporating them into the ceremony. One of the most notable things, though, was how well they handled adapting to my and my guests’ mobility needs. Several of my older family members use walkers and were worried about the walking or the grass and they all felt very accommodated and cared for and were able to enjoy the day. I myself have a disability that affects my ability to walk and stand for very long; this was no problem for them. They shortened the aisle for my ceremony, knew exactly how to create a beautiful ceremony where both we and our wedding party were seated, and they put a lot of mileage on those golf carts getting me and my family where we needed to be safely and comfortably. I cannot recommend White Stone strongly enough and I would have every event there if I could.

Starting from the first call we had with Amelia (Sales Manager in charge of their room blocks) last November while Jonathan (Wedding-Catering Sales Manager) was out of the office, we knew The Abbey was going to be an amazing venue to work with. Her vibrant personality could be felt over the phone, and made me feel like we’d known her for years. This rang true through every single phone call and email we had during our wedding planning, all the way through being onsite for our wedding week. Amelia is friendly, approachable, a great listener, accommodating, timely, and hospitable to name just a few. We genuinely felt like she cared about the success of our wedding, and the experience that our guests were going to have. She went as far as working with the reservations team to ensure we got a suite that was previously reserved when it opened up, customizing our wedding block to fit our guests’ needs, helping ensure guest welcome bags were distributed, and welcoming us for our stay with a gift basket note. We truly believe we would have ended up having our wedding elsewhere if I hadn’t tracked her down last November. Similar to Amelia - from the first time we connected with Jonathan to start planning our wedding, we knew we had something unique in our venue team, and felt confident we’d be in great hands throughout the process. Jonathan always responded to our frequent emails in an extremely timely manner – often right away even when we told him to wait until business hours – and it often felt like he was one step ahead of us. He was extremely helpful with providing his industry expertise, guiding our decision making based on previous experience with weddings / large events, and felt confident that he ultimately had our best interests in mind. He helped us incorporate unique components / details to our wedding that our guests are still talking about, and gave us the sweetest welcome package in our suite! (And recommended we book a great secluded suite!) Jonathan somehow was able to accommodate all of our requests in some way or another, and always made us feel like he was so personally invested. We never could have imagined working with someone so responsive, flexible, detail-oriented, and somehow as passionate about our wedding as we were. His organizational and coordination skills shined exceptionally throughout the last 10 months – even the day after the wedding he was helping us move things out of the ballroom and transferring flowers to brunch. He was truly there every step of the way. We have not been able to stop raving about both Jonathan and Amelia to anyone who asks, and can confidently say we don’t have any negative feedback to share about our experience. Our guests have been the same way and have all been positively commenting on their whole experience. Any challenges that came up throughout our process were always met with solutions, a clear path forward, and their team going above and beyond. Jonathan and Amelia were even there to see us out the Monday after our wedding as we departed, and made not only us but also our parents feel like family. Truly everyone from check-in, Greg at valet, and restaurant spa staff, to the catering events teams and management being open to our ever changing requests ( and keeping up with our large group size) – everyone was so accommodating to work with. We cannot say more positive things about the staff, venue, and our experience!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Arbory as a wedding venue. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were blown away by the modern jungalow vibes and stunning surroundings. The space is so beautiful and full of living plants that helped us stretch our floral budget while still creating a gorgeous blossoming space! The team at The Arbory was incredibly accommodating and flexible, allowing us to set up the space exactly as we envisioned for our special day. The bridal suite is amazing and provided a great space for us as a couple to step away and connect throughout the nice. I would also note that we loved the built-in photo/video booth! One of the most impressive moments was when they seamlessly flipped the ceremony space into the reception area, quickly and stealthily. It was truly a magical transformation. And I have to give a special shoutout to Shay, who went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect and that we were happy. Hangout Lighting was a fantastic choice for our wedding reception venue. Jen's communication throughout the planning process was extremely prompt and helpful. I was looking for a space that was already partially decorated and set up, one that had some indoor and outdoor space, as well as one that allowed us to bring in any vendors of our choosing. Hangout Lighting delivered on all these points. We loved the lighting (of course!) and that the beautiful farmhouse tables and chairs were already perfectly in place. Jen offered a lot of flexibility in the timing of the day as well, so we could choose the number of hours that fit our event. I wish we could have celebrated past the 10pm last call and, looking back, might have started our event earlier in the evening to have more time. But all of the rules and guidance were extremely well communicated ahead of time, so we knew what we were getting into. The free street parking was plentiful, and the location worked great for us. Very glad we were able to celebrate our wedding at Hangout Lighting during the first year that they were hosting events in the space, as I think we got a great deal as well, having compared prices with some similar places in the area. I recently had my wedding at Salvatore's in September 2024. The venue was perfect. Erin is the venue coordinator, and she did an amazing job. The courtyard is beautiful for pictures and the venue provides a classy elegance to your special day. The beauty of this space is that you can really make it yours with whatever decor you choose to bring in. Alexis and Alex at Fairlie are incredibly easy to work with, super laid back, and are just as excited about your big day as you are. The romantic vibes that we got in this space at golden hour just elevated our wedding that much more, and the exposed brick really made this a unique venue for our city wedding. The curtains allow for an easy way to flip the space and also are just beautiful paired with the tall ceilings. Our guests loved how big the bar was because they felt there was never too long of a wait for a drink. So many good things to say — we love Fairlie so much!!!!

We could not have been happier with our decision to get married at Walden! From the moment we booked our date, the planning process was made seamless and actually enjoyable thanks to the incredible built-in planning team, Kalila and Ally. Having coordinators included in the cost of the venue was such a valuable bonus, and they truly made all the difference. Kalila and Ally were there with us every step of the way, staying on top of every detail for our 18-month engagement/wedding planning journey. They reached out to vendors, followed up on our behalf when needed, and offered spot-on recommendations that perfectly suited our vision and budget. Their guidance and expertise helped us make the best choices, and their input kept us calm and organized. On top of their professionalism, they were so down-to-earth and fun to work with, bringing energy and laughter to every planning session and making the entire experience even more memorable. One of the highlights was the collaborative online planning tool we had access to as part of booking Walden. It kept everything organized in one place, allowing us to easily stay in touch with our planners, track tasks, and manage finances and contracts. It was loaded with helpful resources, making planning a breeze. Walden provided us with much more than a beautiful venue. They gave us an incredible planning experience and an amazing team that felt like family by the time the wedding arrived. The entire wedding party and all the family members who were there the entire day of the wedding had nothing but amazing things to say too...they were all shocked at how much support we had throughout the entire day to the point where we did not have to lift a finger. And don't even get us started on the food and bar...we've never been complimented more in our lives. We were shocked at how insanely good the food and drinks were at our tasting party months before the wedding, but we were curious if it would live up to the hype on our actual wedding day where we had 216 guests. It might've been even better on our wedding day! Guests were raving about our food and drinks. We were told by nearly every guest that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, bar none. We even had sober people come up to us and go on and on about how amazing even the mocktails were. The only thing we regret is being too excited and not having enough of an appetite to truly enjoy dinner as the bride and groom. But even so, our planning team made sure the servers packaged up our entrees so we could take them home a few days later when we came back to the venue to pick up our belongings. Honestly, there are a million other reasons why we'd recommend Walden for your wedding venue, but this is already getting to be too long of a review. Basically, if you’re looking for an all-inclusive venue where you’re genuinely taken care of every step of the way, we cannot recommend Walden highly enough! Thank you, Kalila and Ally, the entire bar/service staff, and truly just everyone at Walden for helping make our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more! P.S. - Make sure you get golden hour photos on the rooftop at Walden...we are soooo delighted with our photos from up there.

This venue is one of the top venues in Chicago and I absolutely love working with them. It is a one stop shop with stunning decor and lush foliage that make every picture magical. My husband and I were fortunate enough to have our wedding reception at The Carter in June. From the moment we first toured The Carter up until a few days after our wedding, Chris (owner/operator) and the rest of The Carter staff went above and beyond for us. Chris was super responsive, so easy to work with, and created such an amazing vision for our day. Chris knows what is important to wedding guests and makes sure to prioritize those things - short lines for the bar, guests having a drink in their hand, food served quickly, etc. Everything about the space is perfect, the bridal suite is huge and has so much natural light. I got ready in the morning in the bridal suite and had 10 bridesmaids, my mom, 2 hair stylists, and 2 makeup artists in the space and there was plenty of room for all of us. Our hair stylists, makeup artists, and my bridesmaids raved about the bridal suite - definitely a huge perk of The Carter! The patio space is perfect for cocktail hour, I loved having that outdoor feature and so did our guests. The entrance/welcome space is stunning and such a great way to welcome guests into the space. The main reception area is so beautiful and has so much character with the brick walls and chandeliers that you need minimal decorations/florals which was a huge draw for me. The dance floor is big and fit our band along with all our guests. We were very fortunate to have a perfect 70 degree day so the garage doors were open throughout the entire cocktail hour and reception which was amazing. Literally, every single guest of ours raved about the space. I could go on and on about how amazing it is!! There is also parking easily available which is very rare for wedding venues in the city. We were also surprised the day of our wedding when they let us up onto the roof to get some fun golden hour shots. We had no idea they had roof space that was accessible for that type of pictures! I can't say enough about the staff at The Carter. I already mentioned how great Chris is. Stefan was a newer addition to The Carter staff and we were fortunate to work with him in the last week leading up to our wedding. He was there to let us drop off stuff a few days prior to the wedding and he had everything organized for us. The day of the wedding, Stefan was making sure our drinks for the bridal suite were on ice, he made sure trash was cleaned up, and would continually check on us to see if we needed anything. He told me, "you're not lifting a finger today" and me and my bridesmaids were so appreciative of everything he did for us. At the cocktail hour and reception, the servers and bartenders were great. Food came out quickly and there were no issues. Stefan was even sweet enough to let us leave some stuff after the reception and my friend came by to get the rest of it on Monday. Moral of the story is The Carter is hands down the best and really wants to make your wedding day perfect for you. Our day was literally perfection and we have The Carter to thank for that!

On top of that, the kindness and professionalism of our point-of-contact Natalie made it clear we made the right choice in booking Café Brauer for our November wedding. Natalie was incredibly thoughtful and responsive throughout our time working together, answering tons and tons of questions from us. The day of our wedding went so smoothly (seriously, it was perfect?!), and we know Natalie had a big hand in achieving that. If you're looking for a beautiful, bespoke venue with gorgeous views of the city that will awe both you and your guests, you've found it. And if you're looking for catering services, go with the in-house option: Tigerlily Events! The chefs were so accommodating of dietary restrictions (my husband is allergic to the major eight, and then some), and we received SO many compliments on the food.

We had some delays in the ceremony at our other venue that set us back a little bit, but the whole staff rallied and were flexible and helped adjust the flow of the evening. We had our wedding at the Bottom Lounge in May of 2023. We always thought getting married in the city would be above our budget, however the Bottom Lounge is an amazing West Loop venue that is affordably priced. The space is a gorgeous city loft space, and does not require much decor as the space is stunning. Natalie M. is the best part of the Bottom Lounge. She is an expert in weddings and wedding decor and will help you have the best day. Natalie managed our decor and did an incredible job - everything looked perfect. She also managed our timeline once we were in the space, vendors, our bridal party and a full staff who kept our night on time and stress free. Many of our guests told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to and a lot of that had to do with the venue. The food was incredible, the bar was managed well (no lines) and Natalie works hard to make it an amazing day and keep it within your budget. We cannot recommend the Bottom Lounge enough!

We got married at Mercantile Hall on 11/2/2024, and it was an absolute dream! The coordinator packages are worth every penny—Stephanie stepped in during the final weeks and went above and beyond, she and the staff even brought drinks to the head table and our parents during dinner. The in-house services are so convenient, and the new getting-ready suite is gorgeous and perfect for a relaxing morning. The entire team was incredible throughout our two-year planning process—fun, professional, and detail-oriented. Every vendor had told us how amazing they are to work with, and they see why as they executed our day flawlessly. The venue is stunning, spacious yet intimate, and our guests haven’t stopped complimenting it. Merc. This review is long overdue! If you are looking for amazing food and service for your wedding, cocktail party, corporate event, or honestly, ANY event catering and service you need, you can’t go wrong with Lisa and her team at Kuma’s. One of the top three important items we wanted to concentrate on for our wedding was the catering (food and service). We have been big fans of Kuma’s for a long time which led me to look at them for our catering needs. We looked at a few places which we thought would work for our vibe, but after meeting with Lisa, we knew we had to have Kuma’s catering. Starting with the tasting, refining the menu before the day, as well as the actual day, Lisa was extremely responsive and communicative and really worked with us and our budget to make sure our day was memorable and special. Their sliders are exceptionally delicious (make sure to get the chicken Iron Maiden), and despite them being known for their burgers, Kuma’s has the capability to accommodate all sorts of dietary restrictions including vegans, vegetarians, those with gluten free and dairy allergies, and even the pickiest of kids! We had nine kids attending our wedding and I was concerned they would not enjoy the sliders as much as the adults. Lisa offered to provide a tray of chicken tenders with sauces for the kiddos to accommodate them to go along with the mac and cheese we had put on the menu. Moreover, everything is prepared fresh and never frozen, which is remarkable in today’s market. The basil vinaigrette used for the house salad was made fresh the day of and if I could, I’d buy a bottle every week. Furthermore, there are special items you can only get with catering, and we highly suggest ordering the buffalo chicken bites, jalapeno popper bites, and especially the artichoke dip. They were out of this world amazing. Everyone left extremely satisfied and we still get compliments on how amazingly delicious the food was, not to mention the exceptional level of service. Lisa was extremely attentive and beyond helpful with set up and clearing and made sure we didn’t have anything to worry about at the end of the night. Nick, our bartender, was super helpful with last-minute tasks before guests arrived, and made sure everyone had a drink and were taken well care of. As I said before, we were big fans of Kuma’s prior to our wedding and this experience just cemented our love for them even more. We will definitely use them for our catering needs in the future. If you are looking for something unique and special that will have everyone remembering your event in the best possible way, we highly recommend you book Kuma’s!

We absolutely loved getting married at Loft Lucia on Saturday, July 27th! We had our ceremony and reception on-site inside and our cocktail hour upstairs on the rooftop for 70 guests. The space is incredible and is gorgeous in both the daylight, with tons of natural light, and at night (the lighting was perfect with just candles)! Rebecca and the Loft Lucia team made the entire process easy, and were very responsive and always extremely helpful. We are so happy with our decision and could not recommend Loft Lucia more! I used AVEC for my daughter pre-wedding event for the family and close friends of the bride and husband. The staff at AVEC really made it a life time memorable experience to last for everyone. As for the reception, the appetizers/ hors-d’oeuvre was excellent. The open bar and the wine selection made a difference for those who attended. For the friends of my daughters, AVEC was one of the restaurant that they envied to dine at and the second floor atmosphere made it a unique experience. As for the sit down dinner for the family, it become a highlight for both family history. The wine selection for dinner was memorable and was an experience which cannot be replicated. The food was excellent and the how the family style serving provided an atmosphere for everyone closer and to become “one family”. In my mind , this was one of the top experience I have had including my time as working and living as a top executive in the Chicago area in the past 20 years. I have organized and attended dinner events for business but this experience at AVEC was the one I enjoyed the most and is ranked as my number one. I have to say that all dining experience, the staff at AVEC served us and others with a kind, friendly, and proactive way which led making the whole dining experience one that can not match by other restaurants in Chicago or anywhere around the world. As a Japanese we are used to high quality personalized services but AVEC in the West Loop is in our mind belongs in the top league worldwide. I recommend AVEC with the highest level and without any hesitation if you are seeking a life time experience to be remembered for generations.

We just had our wedding at Chicago Winery in December and it was absolutely perfect. The space is beautiful and speaks for itself - very little decor needed. It's particularly beautiful for a fall/winter "dinner party" vibe (which is what we were looking for) with the dark wood and dim lights. Chris was our venue coordinator and he was amazing - answering our million questions and helping make the day go exactly as we hoped! The food was also amazing - even better than the tasting which was a delight :) We had SO many guests come up to us raving about the space and the food, which is all you could hope for! We found Sepia Private Dining and it was the perfect venue for our small wedding (50 guests). The Sepia staff did almost everything to make my wedding everything I wanted. The mirror on the wall and the decor matched our vibe. We had one set-up for the ceremony, then the guests had appetizers (we left to take pictures) and they changed the set-up for dinner and then moved a couple of tables for dancing later. I did not have a wedding planner and they made everything easy, from planning the menu to the set-up it was a stress free day! I would strongly recommend Sepia Private Dining for all of your smaller events.

Our family held a rehearsal dinner for 60 people at Porter Kitchen on a beautiful night last fall and had the most wonderful experience. We worked with Laura, who shepherded us through the entire process from beginning to end. She welcomed every idea and desire we had with open arms, allowed us to bring in outside vendors for tables and chairs, linens, glassware and flowers and never once said “no” to any request we had. She introduced us to the chef at our tasting and he was fantastic with a willingness to adjust their entrée presentation and ingredients as long as we used ingredients that were already on their menu. They made adjustments for guests with gluten allergies and chef did all of this with a willingness to make his guests happy, without ego. The meal he and the staff served was spectacular and the table service matched the food. Throughout the evening, the ratio of staff to guests was abundant. Passed appetizers flowed continuously and there was never any wait for drinks. They encouraged us to stream our own Spotify playlists through their sound system to create the atmosphere we were seeking and helped us play videos on their multiple TV’s as well. By the end of the evening, our guests were raving about the event and how warmly they were treated the entire evening by the staff. Regardless of the type of event you are holding, this is a location on the river that is not to be missed and a more importantly, an exceptionally professional and accommodating staff that will help your vison come to life. Porter Kitchen easily exceeded all expectations and has earned our highest recommendation!

I will always remember Park Hyatt so fondly because they truly gave us our Best Day Ever :) My initial experience was Park Hyatt was a little bit bittersweet due to being handed over through multiple coordinators without any good real communication on who to reach out to (a lot of very sudden turn over occurred throughout our long planning period). That was difficult to deal with because it was re-inventing the wheel multiple times and a lot of re-communicating things that had already been discussed. However, once Vanessa stepped into the picture in Sept 2022, I immediately felt SO much relief. She was so sweet, so organized, such a great communicator, and really did everything she could to make our day the best day ever - and she and her team absolutely delivered. I will sincerely miss getting to interact with her, because she was just that awesome!!! Park Hyatt as a whole did a great job, too. For the sake of transparency, I will say the billing department was a little difficult to get through to at one time made some kind of odd billing mistakes that seemed to stem from lack of communication. It was kind of hard to tell because I was getting the information second hand rather than talking to the billing person directly. That was really the only thing that I'd say was difficult to deal with. But I could always, ALWAYS rely on Vanessa to take care of the issue and in a punctual time period. And prices were great per person for an elevated Chicago wedding experience. Another nice thing is they bundled everything together (food/bev/service/taxes) into one per person price, so you know exactly what you're getting. I can't recommend Vanessa and her team highly enough. I'd relive it all over again if I could!
