About this venue

Villanelle is dedicated to creating an inclusive atmosphere. We are queer-owned and -operated, and are especially dedicated to providing spaces for our queer community. While we allow alternative vendors, we are a full-service face with a wonderful variety or beverage and food menus. Our space is flexible and beautiful, and we're able to accommodate many different styles of event. We also offer flexible, interest-free payment plans for those who need them!

Dorothy is a sexy, subterranean, ‘70s-inspired lesbian cocktail lounge, located in the basement of Villanelle. We offer nightly libations and a space to host private parties.

Our Space

Villanelle is a beautiful, versatile space great for any part of your wedding celebration!

Our space is ~2500 SF, though divisible for cocktail hours, dancing and more! Our decor is simple, a combination of the industrial chic elements of the original space and our classic French inspiration. Our walls are adorned with black and white photographs and vintage French art, and vibrant florals flow throughout. Milk glass light fixtures hang from the ceilings, along with vintage filament bulbs. We also have a unique photo booth!

    Villanelle was the perfect wedding reception venue for our big day! From the moment we first reached out, their communication was quick, clear, and friendly. Whitney and Zoe made everything so easy for us and provided exceptional service throughout the entire planning process. The modern, contemporary space was spacious and fun, and the food was outstanding - all of our guests raved about it! We both felt so special and truly cared for, and could truly just relax and enjoy ourselves. We highly recommend including Dorothy Downstairs in your plans if you can swing it with your budget, as it was a fantastic addition to our celebration. All in all, Villanelle was the perfect choice for our wedding and we're so grateful to have found them.

    We were lucky to partner with Villanelle for their first official onsite event! CommunityHealth, a volunteer-based free health center just down the street, hosted our first in-person volunteer appreciation event since COVID(!) with Villanelle and couldn't have been happier with the experience - from initial planning to day-of to swift wrap-up. Though not a wedding, we benefited from all of the things Villanelle does wonderfully - prompt and warm communication, flexible pricing options to meet our budget, flexibility with the space, setup, music, timing of catering to make sure all fit with our plans, super tasty food and beverage options, etc etc etc. The space is beautiful and has enough personality to stand on its own and also allow for customization as desired, the photo booth (RIP Berlin) was a great add-on, and the whole team was lovely to work with. We're so glad to have Villanelle in the neighborhood creating inviting queer spaces for celebration. 3

    From the moment we reached out to Villanelle, their communication was quick, professional, and warm. The team went out of their way to accommodate our unique vision for our wedding, creating a truly personalized and intimate experience. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, with a special and inclusive atmosphere that made all our guests feel welcome. The food was delicious, and the craft cocktails, wine, and champagne were the perfect complements to our celebration. We couldn't have asked for a more special day, and we're so grateful to the Villanelle team for helping make our wedding dreams a reality.
