DeeDee is an incredible owner - providing the best service and advice throughout not only your wedding day, but planning as well! We loved that Sadie Lake had such a large inventory of decor - we saved hundreds here! The bridal suite with beautiful natural light, large and accommodating groom’s suite, and the prep kitchen was a huge bonus. Now let’s talk about the grounds - DeeDee has created a beautiful venue. When we showed up for our tour, she was in gardening gloves and boots - we knew that she kept this place immaculate! Everything on the 18 acres is absolutely gorgeous, perfect for wedding photos! The barn is a beautiful backdrop, the lake is adorable, and the lush green grounds are to die for. The tent and barn provide great alternates for poor weather as well (we didn’t need it, but we were glad to have a backup, knowing Washington). Our guests absolutely loved partying it up at Sadie Lake! Deedee is the kindest vendor, and truly cares for you as a couple and the important part of your wedding day; that you love each other and are getting married!! We highly recommend Sadie Lake! Have your wedding here! If you like the water, the outdoors, the beach, chill people and avoiding the wedding industrial complex, this is the place for you. We looked at so many venues, and none came close to this place. Guemes Island is easily accessible with a short ferry ride, yet you feel far away from the city. It's surrounded by woods and right on the beach! The resort has a bunch of cabins that are all included in the rental. Our friends and family stayed the whole weekend. There are plenty of Airbnb's on the island if you have more people than they can hold. They were super helpful every step of the way. The staff are all so nice and clearly care about the place they are working at. It's also owned by locals, which is awesome. We spent months looking at venues, toured a bunch of them, and none had what we were looking for. Or their fee just to rent their ballroom for the afternoon was twice what you pay here for the entire resort all weekend! Your wedding is going to be awesome, why not enjoy it for multiple days? As soon as we arrived here, we knew this was the place. The staff was also super easy to work with and very helpful with anything we needed. They truly went above and beyond. Not only do you get all the cabins included so 90 people can stay all weekend, they have a sauna, wood fired hot tub (3 cabins have their own hot tub too), and plenty of room to grill, eat, and party. We rented a huge tent to have the reception in. They also have great relationships with vendors who made the day amazing and flow smoothly. There is a store at the resort, and another one on the island if you need anything. Anacortes is also a very short ferry ride away. The ferry was not an issue, the ride takes 5 minutes and it sails often. If you're used to the chaos of the state ferries, don't worry here. Our wedding was incredible, and Guemes Island Resort was a huge part of making that happen.

The grounds are incredibly beautiful, the staff is wonderfully kind and the wedding experience there is truly magical. Everytime I come back Dawn and Dave have added something new to the property. Whether it's a fancy chicken coop or new vegetable boxes in the garden, the attention to detail and care is unparalleled. The thought and love for the property and their clients is also evidenced by the smooth running of the wedding day schedule. And the food! Easily the best wedding food. We began looking for wedding venues a year in advance, and from the moment we met Jamie and James, we knew River Valley Oasis was the one. Their warmth, friendliness, and clear love for their venue made booking an easy decision. What really attracted us was the venue’s secluded, natural atmosphere—peaceful and serene, yet still easy to find via GPS. Plus, the convenience of hosting all our events and guests in one location made our day so much smoother. We were also thrilled that they provided MC equipment, a refrigerator/freezer, and all the tables and chairs, saving us the hassle of renting. They even offer a helpful website to connect with vendors, which we used for several wedding services. Jamie and James went above and beyond for us. James graciously let us use his newly crafted tables, which added a special touch to our welcome table, sweetheart table, and dessert station. Everything came together perfectly, and you can see the beautiful craftsmanship in the photos! My husband and I highly recommend River Valley Oasis for any special gathering. The experience was flawless from start to finish.

I've hosted two all day workshops at Oddfellow's Hall, and I will definitely use the space again. It's stunning, historic, right in town, and right over the water. Folks on Orcas tend to be low stress and easy to work with, and the Oddfellows Hall crew is no exception. It's a large space with an easy to plug into sound system and versatile lighting. There's ample street parking, and it's a 1-2 minute walk from the heart of Eastsound. There's a little used public dock and beach a 30 second walk down the road. There's also a commercial kitchen downstairs you can rent and use. I've had only wonderful experiences with this venue, as a two time renter and as a guest at many events!

Hood Canal Vista Pavilion offers breath-taking panoramic views and stunning sunsets over the Hood Canal while surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. In the Pavilion, a floor to ceiling stone fireplace sits opposite abundant windows overlooking lush seasonal gardens . My partner and I were looking for an outdoor wedding venue that captured the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest without leaning into the farmhouse aesthetic. Gray Bridge Venue was perfect from the moment we first saw it on a virtual tour, and then even better when we finally visited in person! Matt & Stacy are so kind and the ultimate wedding pros - they have a plan for every contingency and their recommended vendor list really helped streamline the planning process. The venue itself is beautifully designed; it has an organic elegance of its own that requires very little in terms of decor. We couldn't be happier that Gray Bridge will always be part of our love story!

They were so helpful through the planning process - we did not hire an outside planner and definitely do not feel like we needed to. (We had a few extra timelines/planning checklists for our own purposes, though.) They made our wedding a magical day. Absolutely recommend!!

As a wedding DJ I have been to many venues and for a city venue this is a special one with the view of the canal, boats and trains. You are on the edge of the waterway and the windows do the view justice. Plenty of space for tables and a dance floor with another section that flows well into the space. The bar and esthetics are well thought out and the staff is friendly. The patio is perfect for an outdoor ceremony If you are having guest come visit Seattle, this is as Seattle as it gets. You get to see boats and trains go by without the noise. And it is close to parks and bars for an after party. DJ Darius Groove on Hyde Street DJs www.grooveonhydsestreet.com

Our dream was to start in Lake Union, go through the Ballard Locks and end up at the downtown waterfront and they found a way to make it happen. Alicia and Mark were extremely responsive and accommodating of our requests. Our guests had an amazing time and we were so honored to celebrate with a piece of Seattle history. The Virginia V is a nonprofit and I loved supporting them in preserving the ship rather than paying a corporate wedding venue.
