Charlottesville has been kind to us for the past 15 years. I started my photography business here and raised three sons (21, 17, 14) with my husband. I feel very lucky to make a living loving what I do, which can be photographing weddings, families, children, hospitals, real estate and non profit. I feel truly blessed.

The Space Downtown was created in late 2010 by owners of chefs Tim Burgess and Vincent Derquenne. The two have been partners since 1991, creating their first restaurant Metropolitain which operated in the same location as Space. It closed in 2003 and the chef pair sold the restaurant but remained owners of the building. In early 2010, the location became vacant and the two decided to open for private parties only. In addition to the Space Downtown, the pair operate Bizou and Bang restaurants, all three close in vicinity to one another.

We have been involved in video production for over a decade and have been creating wedding films for couples for the past 10 years. The style and approach we take ensures you aren’t given just a video, but rather a carefully edited, cinematically beautiful film, full of all of the la crème moments of the day. I have been a professional photographer for over 30 years. I began my education at UVA, where I was an Echols scholar. Seeking a school with a greater focus on fine arts studio work, I transferred to the San Francisco Art Institute, where I earned a B.F.A. in Photography and Filmmaking. Throughout my career I have traveled and photographed extensively in Asia, Africa, South America and Europe. I have visited and photographed more than 50 countries. I have founded 3 non-profit arts organizations: Live Arts Theater, Light House Studio, and LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph.

As a classically trained photographer I am both a technician and an artist. I approach photography as a means of artistic expression, but my first priority is always people—listening to them, capturing them as they truly are, and documenting their lives in a way that gives permanence to life’s most meaningful moments. The opportunity to photograph a wedding offers an entire day of seeing people at their most intimate and joyful. Taking a portrait is an opportunity to portray someone with authenticity and sincerity.

Today, Tiffin Farm continues to be a working farm as we raise a herd of Red Devon cattle and steward the land. With abundant natural lighting, the barn is immersed in the center of the farm with views to the Blue Ridge mountains, our pond, and surrounding pasture. Guests are able to watch the sunset over the Blue Ridge while seated during the reception. Just steps from the barn, the Ceremony Lawn is framed by quintessential Virginia views and is equipped with power outlets for a hassle-free ceremony.
