The Vinton War Memorial is owned and operated by the Town of Vinton and often hosts public events at the venue. The Vinton War Memorial was originally conceived as the centerpiece of an 11.5-acre park that could be enjoyed by the community while honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country during World War II. The park was completed in 1946 and the two-story brick building known as the Vinton War Memorial was dedicated and opened to the public on August 20, 1948. Initially, it included the town's library, small meeting rooms, and the Dogwood Ballroom.

The Pavilion at Black Water Junction was built by our family, for our family. We used old wood, old doors, huge rocks, and live edge boards, all found on the farm. We decorated with special things from our family. All of this makes our venue a very special place that we would like to share with you!

Lovingston Winery is a weekend wedding venue that prioritizes slowing down and enjoying time with those that you love. With all of our packages we include 2 nights at our historic 1906 farmhouse and charming log cabin. These spaces allow for up to 16 guests to stay on property with you throughout the weekend. In addition, there are sweeping views of mountains, vineyards, pastures, and pond that can be viewed from our ceremony sites. When it's time for dinner, you can take a beautiful stroll to our newly constructed Tupelo House. Virginia Mountain Vineyards is located on 91 acres nestled between the Blue Ridge and Allehgeny Mountains with gorgeous mountain views. Venue has a beautiful vineyard arbor for wedding ceremonies and the ceremony walkway is a paver pathway lined with red rose bushes. A large tent on a paver patio is available for wedding receptions. The tent is lit with chandeliers and Edison lighting that can be heated or air conditioned and seats up to 250 guests.

The facility can be leased for community events, musical performances, parties, weddings, and more. The old Amherst Baptist Church was the home of that church's congregation until 2005. Its sanctuary was constructed in 1882, making it the second oldest religious structure still standing in the Town of Amherst. Starting in 2012, a grassroots group took the initiative to save a historic structure in the heart of Amherst, VA, and to re-purpose it as a creative community center. Located in the middle of a vibrant village, the goal was to provide a gathering place for events. The class architecture and details of this circa 1880s historic building is sure to compliment any theme. The antique checkerboard flooring adds a touch of eclectic flair.
