I was a photographer for years but always eager to be a videographer as many of my clients failed to get great films of their weddings. I thought he could do something better than others and started to shoot the weddings with both photography and cinematography. I was digging to find the most beautiful shots for every wedding, Frank Ahn films became one of the famous professional cinematography companies in NYC. In the 1950s & 60s, The Bronx was home to an amazing photographer that captured weddings and family events. His name? Warren Meurer aka the “Silverfox” (due to his flowing silver and gray locks). Fast forward to the early 1990s, Warren’s grandson, John Salkowsky, decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and open a wedding photography and video studio. When it came time to name this newly formed company, there was only ONE name it could possibly have – Silverfox Studios.
