About Super Joy

Super Joy

Super Joy specializes in analog wedding videography, which means we capture your big day on glorious Super 8 film. After an initial chat and some check-ins along the way, I'll show up on your wedding day with my cameras and enough film to capture every tender and goofy moment (and everything in between). I take a fly-on-the-wall approach, which basically means you won't get anything staged from me. Think vintage home movies on a cinematic level.

You might be wondering why we choose to shoot on film (it's certainly an understandable question). Here's the short answer - You know that warm, fuzzy feeling you get around special occasions? Well, we believe that your wedding video should match that feeling, and what better way to do that than to use the very format that elicits those happy, nostalgic vibes?

My most popular option. The Standard Package offers enough time to cover your typical wedding day events (pre-ceremony to dinner), along with an Assembly Video, which incorporates all the footage edited together chronologically.

Deluxe Package

Description

For those looking to ball out, then look no further. The Deluxe Package includes everything in the Standard, but offers a bit more time (because you're obviously going to have a banger of a wedding) and also includes additional 35mm film photography (more candid, not staged family photos). This is the true "wedding-on-film" experience.

    My husband and I were over the moon when we received our wedding film from Super Joy! We didn't know exactly what to expect as neither of us were super familiar with Super 8 film (pun intended), but the results were outstanding. It turns out everything looks better on film! It doesn't hurt that Finley is also such a sweetheart and made everything so seamless and easy for us.

    Finley shot and put together a video for our wedding which was far more beautiful than we could have imagined! He's a super chill individual and is a total pro at what he does. While we were somewhat hesitant about going down the Super 8 route, Finley assured us that we were in good hands and the final results made that abundantly clear. The natural quality of the film really sets it apart from your average wedding video in the most wonderfully nostalgic way. Can't recommend Super Joy enough!
