JV is a departure from and reaction to the kitchens of his past. It's about collaborating with friends, reconnecting with nature, and working directly with farmers and producers. We started Luongo Barbecue to glorify the Lord and grow the Kingdom of God. We use the business as a means to feed and serve the less fortunate in our community. After spending the last 30 years in Texas, 20 of those learning all things barbecue, we are relocating to central Pennsylvania in January 2025 to begin working with family on the next chapter of Luongo Barbecue.
