“TLDR: Your search is over-- Morby Photography is amazing. I’ve worked in TV/Film out in LA with some experience as a photographer for 10 years, and now I work as a Creative Director where my job is to be critical of content, including things like event photography. I'm not ashamed to say I'm a snob about it. So when it came time to choose a photographer for my own wedding-- I was honestly TERRIFIED. I didn’t think I was going to find anyone who would fit my high standards. My wife and I got married at the Union Trust in late October. It’s a beautiful venue, but not a ton of natural light. As I searched through photographer after photographer's portfolio, it felt like every portfolio leaned heavily on window light, sunlight, bright exteriors. That’s great, but I’ve seen photographers really underperform when that natural light goes away if they’re not prepared. (If you look closely as you search for photographers, you might notice that very few photographers have a solid portfolio of dark interiors or use of remote strobes.) So when I came across Matt Soult from Morby Photography, he was one of maybe a handful of photographers whose quality of work really shines through in his portfolio, both in natural light but more importantly with his use of flash-- especially his creative use of remote flashes to light up the dance floor & ceremony. More importantly than his obvious talent, Matt is a really great dude. My wife and I met with him via zoom (we live out of state) and knew immediately he was our guy. Matt takes a candid, photojournalistic approach to his craft, and told us his goal was to become part of our family from the very start of the event. His intent was to capture the magic in-between the moments, get the posey & staged photos out of the way fast and focus on capturing us having fun, which is exactly what I wanted. He’s a genuine, interesting, nice guy who we found an instant connection with. On the day of the wedding, he and his second photographer Cami spent the whole day with us running around Philadelphia and capturing incredible stuff (thank you Cami for dragging all your gear around the city you’re a legend!!). Matt got all the photos we asked for and even made sure to check in with us during the wedding to make sure that we checked all our boxes. He had creative ideas for unique shots. Everything was flawless and we had so much fun… just magic. Thanks Matt & Cami you’re both awesome!! I also want to shout out Mike & Kari Morby who made the process of scheduling and planning so easy. Mike actually called me personally a few days before my wedding so we could talk through the schedule for the day, since we had a REALLY tight timeline to nail with a lot of moving parts. They really want you to get exactly what you want, and don't try to pressure you into doing something that works better for them. Their advice and assistance was pivotal to making the whole thing work like magic. Thank you both!! When we got the photos back, my wife and I were jaw-dropped. They were perfect. The quality of the work, the moments Matt captured... my biggest problem is I don't think I have enough wall space to print them all. If you're like me, and photos are one of the most important elements of your wedding, one of the things you're most concerned about and most excited for, and you’ve found your way to Morby, and to this review— I’m so happy to tell you your stressful googling is over. Hey there! I’m Aubrey, your friendly Delaware County photographer. I’m a classic car loving, Janis Joplin humming newly turned thirty something (gulp!). I am Mama to three wild boys and wife to a pretty rad redhead. Photography and the printed image are things that I hold close to my heart, right next to leather jackets, fuzzy dogs, vinyl records, and cheetah print everything. All of this nonsense information about me might not seem important, but trust me, it is. Your photographer should be more than just a somebody who knows their way around a camera— they should be a friend you jive with.

No two weddings are ever the same and I love the differences in all of your stories. I pride myself on getting to know my couples personally and on a deeper level. We become actual friends. “Jandi and her second shooter Joe were absolutely great to work with! Super friendly and energetic. We’re definitely a camera shy couple but they made photos a fun and easy experience. They also didn’t give us any weird looks when our friends inevitably goofed off and suggested a photo of my maid of honor pretending to stab the groom or the best man suggestively riding a rake we found on the ground or even when the groom insisted Joe hop in a group photo with all the other Joseph’s attending the wedding (there were several) My husband who absolutely hates having his photo taken has already told me he intends to only use Jandi for any future events or occasions that will require professional photos so I consider that the highest praise possible from him lol You should absolutely hire Jandi if you want a comfortable and enjoyable experience!”

“cannot put into words how amazing Ramy & his wife Nancy are!! My husband and I just got married on August 10th and we cannot stop talking about how happy we are that we booked Photography by Ramy. From our first meeting with Ramy, we know he was the right choice. Before we even booked, he gave us a timeline for how the day would go and we just felt so comfortable with him and knew he knew what he was doing! An of course the photos of his that we looked at were stunning! I remember getting off our phone call and my then fiance and I were like yep that’s our guy! It wad completely pouring rain the day of our engagement photos, but we had so much fun shooting with Ramy and the photos came out AMAZING, so it didn’t even matter. We got to know Ramy more and by the end it felt like we knew him forever! Leading up to the wedding, we talk through a more detailed timeline with Ramy and he was so helpful in making sure we did it the way we wanted but also that it flowed. Our one big thing was that we wanted to be at cocktail hour for at least half. Immediately he said we would be there for more than that (and he was right!!). On our wedding day, we truly felt like Ramy & Nancy were part of the family. They are the kindest, happiest, and most fun people. Not only did they take beautiful pictures and capture our day so well, but they added to the joy of the day. They made us and our families laugh throughout the day and captured everything we knew we wanted. Their energy is positive and infectious and we loved spending time with them. We never felt rushed around or like we were taking pictures forever. Nancy is also like a fairy godmother in addition to being a great photographer!! She fixed bustled my dress right after pictures, took out my veil, and fixed my bustle numerous times throughout the night. I just can’t say enough about both Ramy & Nancy.
