Flora Good Times

5.0

Beacon, NY
  • Starts at $7,500

**The best way to reach us is directly through our website! We do not use Zola's booking system** Flora Good Times is a studio with play and celebration at its core. Flowers are a powerful medium for setting a mood and telling a story. We are driven to elevate your event with flowers and feeling. Our focus is to provide your celebration with the joy and bounty that only flowers can bring.

Corinne (owner and founder of Flora Good Times) took on the flowers for our wedding just as her business was getting off the ground, but you would never know it. Her professionalism, sophistication, and creativity is unmatched. The vision board she created after our first phone call captured the spirit of our style better than my partner and I had articulated, and influenced other design decisions made. When we visited the venue together, she took my abstract thoughts (e.g. I'm thinking purple tablecloths) and brought them to life (e.g. the purple tablecloths work paired with turquoise ones and the right flowers... it sounds crazy, but it was GORGEOUS). The arrangements she created brought the whole event to the next level. We've never seen anything like them at a wedding or any event, and people are still talking about them two years later. Because of our experience with Flora Good Times, our advice to couples getting married is not to cut corners on the flower budget. We can't recommend this amazing team highly enough.

Deja Vu Floral

5.0

  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Beacon, NY

I am Vicki Weed, yes, that is my real name. I have been a wedding only florist in the Hudson Valley for over 30 years. I love flowers and weddings more than you can imagine! I only book a limited number of weddings per year, to ensure my clients get the attention they deserve. I strive to deliver the freshest flowers from local and wholesale growers. I also lend or rent containers, props and decor - to keep costs and the imprint on the environment as low as possible. I would love to create the floral of your dreams!

Dejavu is absolutely incredible. Working with them is easy, fun and so wonderful. They are kind, easygoing, and so talented. Vicki immediately makes you feel warm, comfortable and at ease. She makes everything so digestible and easy to understand as someone who doesn’t know much about florals. They listened to my vision, made suggestions and delivered a gorgeous product that I could not have been more thrilled with. I constantly recommend them and know that if you choose them, you will be blown away at the beautiful work.

Field Trip Flowers

5.0

  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Beacon, NY

Field Trip Flowers is a floral studio and small flower farm based in the lower Hudson Valley. We offer full service floral design as well as ‘Farm-to-Vase Events' (our version of a la carte flowers) packages for intimate events - flowering all over the Hudson Valley region and beyond. We grow, source, and design for those who appreciate the magic of responsibly grown, seasonal flowers!

Jenny from Field Trip Flowers did the flowers for my October wedding as well as my smaller church "elopement." She was such a wonderful guide throughout, and really took the time to understand my vision and turn it into reality. We went with dried flowers because I wanted folks to be able to take them home and enjoy them after the wedding, and it felt very fitting for Fall. We had large centerpieces, bud vases, a sweetheart arrangement, bouquets, and boutonnieres and Jenny designed and arranged everything beautifully. I would recommend working with her to anyone!

Hi! I'm Sasha- your friendly, wild, and (most importantly) KIND floral artist. I specialize in unique florals and I cater to couples who truly love flowers! We work together to encapsulate your vision and your personal style. Your florals will be something that you will always remember and also an aesthetic that your guests will talk about longgg after your wedding day. My creations are ALWAYS unique. I strive to make "moments" in florals that are conversation pieces. I look forward to creating a unique story for your event. I am an ally and activist for the LGBTQ+ community.

All I can say is WOW! When it comes to Sasha, I cannot express how magical and incredible working with her has been. Throughout my entire wedding planning process, so many people kept saying “no one is going to remember or talk about your florals when the wedding is over!” Boy were they wrong! Since I got married, EVERYONE is STILL talking about my wedding florals produced by Sasha and how INCREDIBLE they were! She is a true master at her craft and made our special day look and feel like a real-life fairy tale!!! Sasha so genuinely cares about her work and gets just as excited as you, if not more! She kept me in the loop throughout the entire process and was just extremely easy going, personable, and readily available to chat anytime I had a question or concern. She wants your day to be just as special as you do! Exactly what I envisioned for my wedding day, Sasha curated in the most graceful fashion. A true artist!!! There’s people that do the job, and then there’s people that love the job and Sasha is one of those rare individuals. My mother in-law watched her meticulously curate my wedding arbor and noted how deeply she paid attention to every detail of my wedding! Sasha, I cannot thank you enough for your astonishing work and for being who you are! I will miss you! – Brooke & Jordan

VDL Brothers

5.0

  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Beacon, NY

VDL Brothers began as a farm with a single grower dreaming of providing locally grown, beautiful flowers. Now, we are bringing the produce of that farm to couples who are looking for fresh florals designed with a romantic, whimsical touch. We love to create soft, flowing bouquets, nature inspired arches, creative statement pieces and installations. We give each of our couples a high level of attention to detail, and dedicate our time to two events per month.

My wedding was last month and I am so BEYOND happy I chose VDL Brothers as my florist. Sonja is not only extremely talented but also attentive, reliable, supportive, and consistently went above and beyond to make my wedding flowers and decor special and personalized. My bouquet made me cry (happy tears) when I saw it. As did the boutonnières, wedding party flowers, and decor. Each bridesmaid bouquet, boutonniere and bud vase was unique and intricately done. She really listens to what you want and makes it a reality. During the early planning process she made a personalized event plan complete with my and her own inspiration pics, and kept it updated whenever I needed to make a change. Perhaps the highlight was the Bud Vase wall that she constructed from scratch for my seating chart. It was beyond what you see on Instagram and Pinterest. She also provided a chuppah which was more sturdy and beautiful than any I found elsewhere, and was hands on with managing the set up and take down of all the decor. I was worried about “spending so much on flowers” but honestly the flowers/decor/experience working with her was easily one of my favorite parts of my wedding, and worth every penny and then some. Her pricing is a steal for what you get with her.

Marcella and her team were incredible to work with. My jaw actually dropped when I saw the bouquets and the centerpieces were delivered. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

I ordered the "peaches and cream" small package. We decided to skip on ceremony florals, and only have handhelds and bud vases at the reception. We did buy a few more flowers from the grocery to add more peach once the flowers arrived. We made and medium sized bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 3 corsages, and 7 bouts. (With lots of flowers left over). My bridesmaids and I did the arranging the morning before the wedding; it was fun, and a great start to the weekend. None of us had experience, but it all turned out great! If you or your bridal party are mildly crafty, I'd highly recommend it!

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Our wedding day was everything and way better than was imagined and our florals from Fountainhead were breathtaking! I gave Kate some inspo pictures and what actually arrived that morning, was better than imagined! Many of our pictures take place in front of barrels and the colors from the bouquet just elevates everything! All of our guests commented on how amazing and unique our florals were. Jen was AMAZING to work with! When it came to flowers for my wedding, I had NO IDEA what I wanted. She was very patient with me and helped talk me through my vision. She gave me flowers to pick from, talked about how big I wanted my bouquet and how much greenery I wanted, and then when I could find colors I liked in swatches, she color-matched the colors I wanted from an inspo pic I found online! She was very professional and patient with me, even when my plans changed or I needed to add to my order.  I am not the best at putting together a bouquet. I am also someone who likes control, especially when it came to planning my wedding. I was thankful that I was able to give Jen the reins, tell her what I wanted, and watch her make my dreams come true. When I first saw my flowers, I was speechless. She truly did make my floral dreams come true, and now I get to keep my bouquet for the rest of my life! A wooden flower bouquet from Jen is the way to go!

It was a pleasure working with Sonya and her team for our big day! From the initial phone conversation, she made sure to listen to what we wanted and came back with recommendations that really brought it to life. She ensured that we stayed within the budget parameters we set by providing various options of things we could do but, making sure everything was still of the highest quality. She even worked with our schedule to come meet us at the venue with samples to finalize all the details. A few days before the wedding we ran into a small issue around the Chuppah structure we chose and she made sure to call us right away to explain the situation, and came up with alternative solutions that did not require any additional charge. The finished product was beautiful. I’m still getting compliments on my flower arrangements a month later!! If you work with Sonya and her team, you won’t be sorry!

First of all - the end product was just beautiful. Everything from the bridal bouquet to the ceremony flowers to the table styling was exquisite and super unique. Shannon did a great job incorporating my favorite color (yellow) and a whimsical, organic wildness into the design exactly as I had hoped. From our first meeting to the written proposal, Shannon interpreted my thoughts and ideas exactly. I was so impressed that she took my ramblings and half ideas and pulled them together into what I was seeing in my head. Shannon’s GORGEOUS color palette informed the entire wedding design and gave me a jumping off point for invitations, bridesmaid dresses, other decor, etc. Unfortunately, the process of working with Shannon was a bit challenging. She struggled with nailing down details: incorrect number of tables, inconsistent accounting of candles/bud vases, etc. It took a number of incorrect proposal drafts until we got it right - just weeks before the wedding. We were honestly quite disappointed by Shannon’s flexibility and communication. She self-describes as being highly collaborative, but that was not our experience. First, as beer nerds, having hops in the design was super important to us, and while she flagged early on it could be an issue to source real ones, we discussed using fake. While we all agreed that she shouldn’t use fake hops if they looked bad, we were sad to see on the day of that they didn’t make it into the design. It would have been nice to have heard a heads up from her that she didn’t plan to use them - even if it was just a brief mention on the day-of. Second, when our cake plans fell through at the last minute, we asked Shannon if she could possibly supply a few flowers for our small 6” cutting cake. She told us she would try, but later we heard from the bakery that she had given them a flat no. She never communicated her decision to us. Thankfully, the bakery pulled something together for us (shout out to Zest Pastry!). Third, the Monday before the wedding, Shannon sent an alarming email with the subject line “Head Advisory, Oh No!”, asking us what our plan was. Getting any email titled “Oh No” isn’t fun to receive less than a week before your wedding. Further, as a trusted wedding vendor, we would hope that she would have plans for weather or unexpected events rather than looking to us during a very stressful period. Lastly, (and most disappointingly) despite having a run of day schedule, Shannon was nowhere to be found when it was time to put on boutonnieres and corsages. Our photographers and party thankfully jumped in to help to avoid major delays to portraits (shout out to Katie Slater!). Fundamentally, the product Shannon provided was beyond compare - everything was beautiful. That said, the communication, coordination, and organization were lacking from our experience.

We had the absolute pleasure working with Isabel for our Prospect Park Boathouse wedding. We knew from the start that florals were going to play a big role in our wedding, and we wanted a specific style as well. My planner recommended Isabel and going with her was the best decision. Isabel is incredibly friendly and professional, always available to give feedback and bounce ideas off of. I gave her my inspo board and she really, truly understood my vision. The mood boards she provides also helped me convey the wedding theme with other vendors as well. I'll never forget seeing my dreams come to life in front of my eyes on our wedding day. Seeing her whole team working on making the ceremony arch and aisles ready was incredible. The tablescapes were absolutely insane- everything I could've hoped for and more. I would absolutely recommend Isabel to anyone getting married.

Boom & Bloom Floral Design

5.0

  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Beacon, NY

Having spent decades in the trenches of the floral design and event production industries working beside renowned NYC and Southern California designers, Eliza Rose has brought her unique style to her own botanical studio, Boom & Bloom Floral Design. Eliza's signature style blends the timeless, decadent allure of the Dutch Masters paintings with the ephemeral beauty of nature. Embracing the Dutch tradition of capturing the essence of each season, Eliza utilizes native grown and foraged flowers from her property in the Great Northern Catskills as well as supporting local farms by sourcing blooms from their sustainably grown, seasonal crops.

Eliza was the florist for our Jewish/Hindu wedding in late October in the Berkshires, and we cannot say enough wonderful things. She helped our vision truly come to life, but also gave guidance when needed which I appreciated. She created a custom mandap/chuppah and incorporated some personal family heirlooms which made it so special. Eliza is a true professional and also a lovely person to work with. She has a passion for sustainability and zero waste which was important to me when picking a florist. I highly recommend Boom & Bloom!!

Isabelle is a dream to work with, and created the most stunning florals, understated and natural yet gorgeous and striking, which blended beautifully with the natural environment of our venue. The florals were more than decorations - they were works of art. The fact that the plants are chemical free and grown in a sustainable, regenerative environment was a huge selling point for us. The team is reliable, experienced, and so dedicated, and they went above and beyond to turn a vision into reality. Finally, communication with Isabelle was incredibly smooth and pleasant, and during a stressful process like wedding planning, having such a supportive, loving person was deeply helpful and appreciated. Vivi Fleurz

5.0

  • Starts at $6,000
  • Serves Beacon, NY

In 2013, my passion for flowers started when I landed a job at a local flower shop. Entranced by the art, I fell head over heels in love with the intricacies of designing something new & special for a specific individual. I immersed myself, continually discovering new techniques & experimenting. My traditional design skills mixed with my trained eye from the fashion industry has helped shape what my design style is today- whimsical, ethereal, & extremely detailed. I consider my arrangements & installations to be a sculptures & am inspired by nature and it’s immense growth & colors, Dutch Master paintings, & the 60s psychedelic movement.

Vivi’s floral work for our wedding was absolutely stunning. She was incredibly thoughtful, professional, and attentive to what I envisioned, even when I didn't always have the design vocabulary to describe it. Vivi was super helpful throughout the process. Several people followed up with me after the wedding to ask who did the florals. She sourced truly unique flowers that were a conversation starter and a hit with our guests. My bouquet, the unique chuppah, the bridesmaids’ bouquets—everything was perfect! A few pictures attached. I highly recommend Vivi to anyone looking for exceptional, unique, and thoughtful floral design!

We work with you to bring your personal style and vision to life! Our team possesses an intuitive comprehension of diverse lifestyles, tastes and aesthetics which we successfully translate into a dynamic visual vocabulary creating truly unique environments.

Words cannot describe how absolutely beautiful Robert Bardin and Robert Palomo made our wedding. We were married in an old rope factory in Greenpoint Brooklyn (Greenpoint Loft) which is a completely raw space. Their team arrived the second the venue opened and transformed the industrial loft into a quiet oasis of greens and the most beautiful flowers we have ever seen. They designed everything, from the tables for the reception to lights over the dance floor. They made suggestions that made the space much more welcoming (beautiful boxwood panels behind the ceremony) and lit the entire room with the most beautiful candlelight and spotlights. We didn't have to stress about anything! We heard more than one time that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended. Thank you so much!!! Highly recommended!!
