On the day of the wedding, it felt like we were herding cats, but she remained professional and efficient. Even though we were running behind schedule with getting dressed, she managed to squeeze in a few dress shots and some first look photos. Grace remained patient even as some of our friends and family showed up late for photos! As we moved between locations, she made sure I was holding my dress in a way so that I wouldn’t fall on my face. Hands down, the easiest and best decision we made (besides going through with the marriage ;-)) was picking Chris as our photographer. He was so easy to work with from the get go. We set up a brief meeting, shared our vision (we wanted a "photojournalist approach"), and mapped out a schedule of events. Anything that we did not think to ask, he made sure to bring up and help make our vision more complete. Chris was excellent at capturing all of the tiny moments of the night without being in anyone's way. The pictures that he captured were absolutely STUNNING--the perfect amount of sentimental moments captured in beautiful lighting and silly off the cuff moments that captured the essence of each and every guest. “Darcy was an absolute pleasure to work with and we LOVE our photos. She truly captured the emotions of the day and the essence of all the people we love the most. Any time i look at our photos, i find myself involuntarily smiling. She captured the classic posed photos AND the precious in-between moments where people are being their most authentic selves (the face my dad makes when he's really intently listening, the hand gestures my mom uses when she's explaining something and can't find the right words, the face my mother in law makes when she's cracking herself up, the face my father in law makes right before the tears fall, and so so many more). Not ONLY are her photos amazing, but she made us feel so relaxed on the day-of. Her style is totally unobtrusive, which is just what we needed. Darcy got such amazing photos of all our guests we put 4x6" prints in our thank you cards and people were SO appreciative. She's on fridges across America.
