Hi! I'm Emily, and I've been a professional photographer for over a decade. In 2016 I branched off on my own and established my own business, EG Photography, with the goal of capturing my clients' stories in meaningful ways. This is my full-time job, which means you can rest assured that I am absolutely focused on how I can serve you, and meeting your expectations day in and day out!

I'm a storyteller at heart. To me, it's no use thinking of your wedding photos as just a handful of pretty pictures of you dressed up for your wedding. It's one of the most important days of your life, and the events of that day and those who celebrate with you should be a relivable story of your love. When it comes to my couples, I deeply believe in the power of forming positive and communicative relationships to truly understand who they are as people. Every client who contracts me for my services receivese personal attention and planning to ensure that I capture not only the essence of their special day, but their personalities as well.

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a USB drive with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones.

You can expect about 50-75 edited images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Yes! All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also go through and do a very basic retouching on images that really need it (that trash can in the background, that ultra stubborn pimple on bride/groom's forehead in a close-up portrait). While not every image or even guest will get an initial retouch, I can do extra retouch requests for an additional fee.

I do! Let me know if your venue requires a certificate of insurance and I'd be happy to send that over to them. Please note that for events planned out far in advance I will have to send them an updated copy later, upon renewal of my coverage.

I usually work solo and am very comfortable doing so, but depending on the coverage needed or your preferences I might suggest adding on a second shooter. I've worked with some great photographers in the past and will make sure I have someone on hand whose style is similar to my own!

In my 12 years of experience as a photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure to be in complete communication with you and will have a trusted colleague on hand to take the lead. In this case, I will still work on editing your final images so that they are as close to the product I would have provided you would I have been able to be there myself.

Whenever! Every couple is different. Some are super planners and look a few years out, some are spontaneous and want to get married tomorrow. Either way, I'm excited to help capture this exciting moment in your lives. My books do get filled with other events and portrait sessions though, so the sooner you know your wedding date and are ready to book, the more likely I'll be available.

I require a non-refundable 20% deposit upon signing of your contract. The balance is due 14 days before your wedding date. My invoice system is very easy to make payments at any time, should you wish to chip away at the balance before the final due date. I can also create a scheduled payment plan if that helps.
