Hiking
There are, of course, countless hikes in Winter Park and even at Devil's Thumb Ranch, but, additionally, just minutes away are the many trails of the Rocky Mountain National Park, Arapahoe National Forest, the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, and the Hot Sulphur Springs. Our favorite app is AllTrails, and you can find hikes in certain areas which include reviews, pictures, and rankings from easy to difficult. Golfing

Water Activities
Seeking thrills, chills and adventure? So many choices including rafting, kayaking and stand up paddling. Treat yourself to a whitewater adventure on the legendary Colorado River, located approximately 1 hour from Winter Park. This is perfect for beginners and families looking to enjoy rafting. This scenic section of river is mild to moderate (class II and class III) whitewater. This works for beginners and experts, and you are able to do half-day or full-day trips. Zip Line Tour of DTR
Please book early. Tours fill up quickly. Soar through treetops, fly over meadows, the Adventure Zip Line Tour takes you places you’ve never been in a thrilling new way on five different zip lines that travel up to 40 miles per hour. Choose to ride all five lines or just the longest, the High Lonesome Line with 1600 feet of excitement. If the speed doesn’t take your breath away...the views will! Riders must be between 75 lbs and 275 lbs to ride. Reservations required. Minimum of three people per Full Zip Tour and five people per High Lonesome Zip Tour. Groups not to exceed nine participants. Larger groups can be accommodated with advanced notice. Operation is weather dependent.
Fly Fishing
With a complete fly shop, guide services, fly fishing instruction, and extensive private water access, Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa is a haven for anglers.
