Pool Hang

When looking for venues, my mom said, "Well, you have to book this one! They have a pool named Rachel's pool!" So, obviously, it's imperative we have some hang time there. For anyone lucky enough to join a few days early, we'll be spending several hours at the pool on Thursday while Will gets a nice tan for the wedding, and Rachel hides from the sun. Fun times for all!

Yankee Doodle Trail

Join us on our final attempt to look good in our wedding attire! Friday morning, we'll be doing a 3 mile roundtrip hike in gorgeous Winter Park! Do not fear: the hike is ranked as "easy"! It's a quick hike, but it has some stunning views at the end! Bring snacks for when we reach the end: fruit, granola bars, or Will's personal favorite hiking snack, candy bars. Anyone joining, please meet at the trailhead by 11:00 am! Yankee Doodle Trail is a 3 minute drive (~15 minute walk) from the Trailhead Inn and Best Western. The trail starts at the end of Idlewild Road in downtown Winter Park, just on the right and at the bottom of the old Idlewild Ski Area lift. An easier option: download the app "AllTrails." You'll type "Yankee Doodle Trail" into the search bar, and click on the hike. From there, click "directions" and it will lead you to the trailhead. We'll all meet there by 11:00 am. Welcome Party

Jeans and tops, casual summer dresses. The party is in grass/dirt, so we do not recommend heels
The Welcome Party will take place at the horse stables at Devil's Thumb Ranch. Drinks and dessert will be provided. To get to the stables: head to the lobby of Devil's Thumb. We'll have signage outside the lobby. From here, there will be shuttles driving you down the hill to the stables (under 1 minute drive). The shuttles will be going back and forth every couple minutes for the duration of the welcome party. Dessert and drinks will be provided!

There will be a bus picking up guests at the Trailhead Inn at 3:30 pm and 4:15 pm to shuttle to Devil's Thumb. These two times are the only chances to get on the bus! Please DO NOT miss it! There are no Ubers and Lyfts in Winter Park, and you will have to call a taxi (there's only one in Winter Park)! If you are staying at The Best Western, simply walk across the street to hop on the shuttle. Please note: the ceremony will be outside, so be checking the weather leading up to the big day.
Cocktail Hour

Finally! Time to party! We can't wait to dance the night away together. The school buses will begin driving guests back to the hotels starting at 9:30 pm and will make trips back and forth until 1:15 am. They will arrive at Devils Thumb every half hour.
